- From 35;35-36;48, Phil doesn't count 3 deaths, then stream chat tells him to add 4 deaths to the count, so Phil's final death tally is overcounted by 1.
Was planning on doing TiHYDP Dark Souls 3 (1st run) with all dlc as a death montage, but @negrosnake460 already made TiHYDP Dark Souls 3 Death Edition ( • This is how you DON'T ... ), but not the dlc, so here's my death montage for the dlc as part of Phil's 1st run of DS3.

I feel like comparing my TiHYDPs to The 0utsyder's are like comparing apples to oranges. Most of my TiHYDPs are death montages, so they focus more on the gameplay, but The 0utsyder is way more thorough showcasing how bad of a streamer Phil is and how he's toxic towards the game and his audience and I usually cut those out to keep the runtime short. I have made TiHYDPs before just because I think The 0utsyder cut is too long, and wanted to make a more digestible death montage version (using my own downloaded DSP footage since I want native 1080p upscaled to 1440p).
One of those was TiHYDP Nioh 2, which mine was 4 hour death montage (which includes the Alpha Beta, which 0utsyder has a separate TiHYDP for). The 0utsyder's cut was 9 hours, but he includes all the toxic nonsense that really showcases how miserable & bitter Phil is, so it's not all non stop rage from dying, but I personally prefer more focused TiHYDPs that show the rage, since that's Phil at his funniest (funny as in laugh at him, not with him).
I respect The 0utsyder and is one of my inspirations for making TiHYDPs, but I do agree he does leave a bit too much in, and his newer stuff could use some trimming, and have a bit less cutaway gags in them.
@@KingDDDuke this, nobody wants to watch dsp for 12 hours+ with cutaways and paragraphs of text about how dsp is a bad player we already know we just want to see him die and rage.

2:25 Why is this a thing? Why play like this? This isn't a DSP thing this is a Dark souls community thing that you hold the controller like that so you can run and move the camera but why? How are you playing that you need to move the camera and run at the same time.
I play claw-grip so it’s a natural transition from FPS to souls games, and it helps when you’re speed-running areas.
If he didn’t spend so much money on WWE Champions he could just buy himself an Edge for his PS5 and remap some of the buttons to the back-paddles.
@@OfficialCrowMauler Speed-running sure but I've never heard of it in that context only as something that "helps" with fighting bosses, heck you can even see that DSP only uses it for boss fights and uses a normal grip when fighting normal enemies.

Yeah I was talking exclusively about roaming/exploring. Why would it help with bosses when you’re supposed to lock-on for the *vast majority* of them? Only for scaled fights like dragons or giants would you opt to not lock-on, and even then why would you be running, except maybe if you’re caught off-guard against an AOE? If you’re locked on, you never need the right stick.

I play claw for most boss fights, since it's easier to sprint/roll while also moving the camera while unlocked. Also nice for general exploration to be able to sprint while looking around.
