About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.
In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I will also be hosting my own TV show called "Super Dad" on the new Magnolia Network / Discovery+. Heidi and the kids will also be a part of the show. I am originally from the rural community of Howard, South Dakota.

My favorite thing about his videos is how at the end of a very stressful, challenging, kid filled day he is always genuinely happy he got to have the experience with his children, even with the ups and downs!
You nailed it! Every stage was dead on, especially the last stage when you only remember how much fun it was to watch your kids catch fish!
You forgot the 6th stage: "What? You're done and want to go to the playground? We just got here! 5 minutes ago!"
I love Theo's drawing at the end. Going out and doing things with little kids can be such a hassle, but this is a good reminder that it's worth it. The memories we make with our kids are so important. 😁
My dad would take our family of 7 on a three week fishing holiday every year. We would spend almost all day, every day, out in an old boat, on a river. Wealways caught lots of fish though! Poor guy spent so much time untangling our lines, especially my mums, lol. Best childhood memories ever!
Their little girl looks just like mom when she talks!!
That ending brought tear...I mean allergies to my eyes...I have allergies bad allergies. Yep.
Mom’s of the world are yelling at their screens, “the kiddos are too close to the edge!!” 😭 (love the video 💕 )
Pretty soon you’ll realize you don’t even take your own pole fishing anymore, you just deal with helping the kids
Heartwarming ending. Three quarters of this also applies to taking your buddies who haven’t fished before fishing.
The video was funny but the end was my favorite
Fishing with my kids got alot funner when I learned to quit fishing and just helped them fish! -Derek
The end made me cry the best thing about summer going fishing. Took my nieces and nephews camping and fishing two years ago and they can't stop talking about it and begging me to go again. 💓💜
We're at the "just one more cast mom I don't want to stop" stage with my kiddos and it's awesome! They are 11 and 8 and I don't have to untangle their lines quite as much as I used to 😉
Glad u included the end best day ever fishing with the kidz
Wisconsin here. My dad owns a boat and fishes all the time. We’d go out several times a year and then at least one vacation “up north.” He’d schedule special time with each of us - for me, it was bullhead fishing at night. We’d go out late (10pm?) and fish in the dark and quiet. My Dad would drink coffee - I distinctly remember the smell of his coffee - and we had to be quiet or we’d scare the fish. I’m 39 and my Dad is 77 - keep this up, I promise they will cherish these memories.
Elsa is no angler 🤣🤣🤣 I loved every second of this. Can't wait for your 3rd to go fishing with you guys 😊
Couldn't have made that video more true. Kids fishing can make the best angler look like a noob so fast. Lol. This is why I take my kids surf fishing. They can play and fish. Awesome vid.
It was all worth it at the end…(I’m not crying your crying)
Wow, I’m just now realizing how patient my dad was…
