    This is so relatable cuz I took my Orgo Chem 2 online during the summer last year and my goodness… like it took me double the time to listen to the lecture too because I had to create my own visual concepts when I was writing my notes just so I had my own unique way of understanding it

    Hey! Thanks for the tips! I'll be starting my program next week and I wanted to ask how specifically you read your textbooks? I'm pretty sure I lean into visual learning (I do better with models and videos) but I can't JUST read a textbook, even if I'm annotating. How would you tackle a chapter, for example? Some methods I've tried over the years include starting at the end to understand what the authors thought was important (via the summaries and the questions they asked) then jump back to the front to go in depth and tackle each subsection like that. Any insights?

    • @domilarae
      @domilarae  Месяц назад

      Hey! I start reading textbooks by reading through the objectives. I create a study guide for each chapter by taking the chapter objectives and turning them into questions, if that makes sense. And, then I go through the chapter and read/skim subsections to answer the questions. I have studied with textbooks all through college and even now in graduate school. I have found this method to be the most efficient way. Let me know if you try this method and if it’s helpful.
