My box has two ports and also 2 SDR 15 subs . Honestly I can't even turn my speakers up too much because it will literally disturb everything so honestly u made a very gud decision concerning the position of the box and with the polyfill as well ! you finally did the big3. hey you need to rev and hold the car up to 2-3k when doin demos at full tilt whether the alternator is stock or a high output upgrade. the alternators run on a bare minimum amps at idle. you should see 13.5-13.8 when you rev

Damn😍 I just hooked up my single vxf 12 today. Currently I’m the break in process. I’ll be patient though and let the spiders loosen up. It’s wired down to 1 ohm paired with a rp1500 inside a 2.3 cu enclosure tuned to 33hz.
I messed up and got the 4ohm sub so I can’t get lower than 2 ohms but I got the same setup as you. Breaking mine in still how’s the system holding up for you?
buc39 it’s been good so far I just don’t have the right electrical to get the full potential out of it. I’m getting a voltage drop and my lights dims when the bass is hitting. But so far so good I’m very happy with it. I mean if you can try add another 4ohm sub then you can wire it down to 1 ohm.
When I first ordered the sub I didn’t think about getting two subs so I should have figured on getting the 2ohm sub. I drive a tlx and the voltage drops like crazy. The amp is a beast but the bass is clean. Ima try another battery first then upgrade my alternator if that doesn’t help.
Regz Finuliar no big 3 yet and yes stock alt. Just really decided to put a system in this car after my tsx. That car I did the big 3 a mechman 270amp alt 0/1 to the back and two mechman batteries. The car had no electrical issues whatsoever. Pushed two rockford amps. I just see now I’m starting from the very bottom again.

I was going to buy that same box on ebay for my vxf 12's, but I went with the MSWenclosures T-line 5 cubic feet box all I know is that it hits so damn hard I do after 250amp alt and 2 xs power batteries with Orion XTR 2500.D1Z for subs and a skar audio Amp for all skar audio tweeters and mids.
I got the same box for two Skar ZVX v2 12 box is 6.0 air space, my box won't fit in my trunk 2006 Nissan Altima. So I have it on top of my back seat 😭 running it at half ohm with Orion HCCA 3000.1 when ever I get me a use Tahoe I will put it in there.
If you still have it.... Sell the box and build a box within your trunk. Then you could get the right size box and won't have to fit it in your trunk hole.

I'm running a single skar svr 12 dual 4 ohm with the specified box from skar for it and a power accustic 1500.1 amp running it at 2ohms pushing 900 watts on a boss head unit wanting to upgrade the amp to a skar amp but don't have the money I just got laid off from work but the build hits hard I like it but feel like it could do much better with the right stuff for it I have the system in a 2010 jeep liberty
These subs can take a whole other sk2500 strapped or gain matched lol I have one of them taking 4k clean and it's never gotten hot or smelly from it not once! I used to run two sk3500.1's strapped in my Lincoln mkx and them babies put down some power! I had 4 Sundown Sa15's doing a 153.7db daily on music no wall box tuned to 33hz and my peak was at 41hz but I could play down to 20hz and up to 90hz just as strong I love the Sa classics lol 750rms each and I fed them 2k each for 3 years with zero issue and I still have all 4 of them....

That system is way better then the other one I would try putting foam between your light fixture and the ceiling and maybe alphard audio deaf bouce double ridged deader

I want to upgrade from my stock 2019 jeep cherokee unconnect radio, bit if I go aftermarket I lose alot of stuff like heated steering wheel, heated seats, electronic break settings and alot of other settings, but I heard that Phoenix radios connect just like factory radios and u still get all the settings. I have to call them and ask
Most aftermarket radios will retain almost everything as long as their is a button already in the car elsewhere. If EVERYTHING is on your factory radio you may have to keep it

You can run a 20kw amp on a stock alt. You just need a big bank. I run 2 x15s off a soundigital evo 8k. Stock 150 amp alt, 2 kinetic 240ah agms and a 120ah under the hood. I drop .5v at most under hard demos

What made you run both those subs to only one terminal on the box then to the amp? If you wired them both to the individual terminals on the box then ran those both to the two outputs on the amp wouldn't the amp still see that as 1 ohm since they're connected on the inside?
Man my Forte is tore up from bass lol, I have that silver hvac tape everywhere, even my sun glasses holder on the roof. Ita ghetto looking but it's the only thing that would hold. Now I know why demo vehicles always look raggedy. I first used color matched duct tape but it didn't hold long.
Also if your having rattles from your rear deck like I did, spray it with foam, if you do this nake sure to tape up any cracks where it may seep out on the interior.
Those subs are rated at 1500 rms each right? So the skv2 2500 can put out 3000 watts? I'm asking because I have 1, and I was thinking about upgrading my subs to 2 12's SA v2 1000 rms each. Sundown speakers are underrated. Let me know what you think
Car.. 2010 VW CC Turbo Sport 2.0 / White K04 turbo , headers race tuned. System.. Stock head unit , all 4 doors Sundown Neo 6.5s sundown mids and highs and tweeters. All fit in the stock door placements. Amps... Kicker Key for the doors , Sundown SFB3000.1D "on its way for subwoofer" Skar RP800.1DM "Marine grade" mono block.. Subwoofer.. Skar VXF 15" D2 / Box 3.98 Cubes @30hz.. Have no idea what it meters but it's ridiculously loud 😂 I can float shit in my windows just on that lil rp800.1DM. so that says alot about the quality of the woofer n box. It's definitely above 144.9 Because my last sub n amp that was in the car done a 144.9 and that was a Skar DDX 15 D2 on a Skar RP3500.1D.. sold the amp n sub.. replaced it with two Sundown Sav3 8"s then traded the two Sa8"s for the Vxf 15".. and the Sa8"s done a 141.7 on music on a Soundstream TAi 3000.1D which does above rated almost 6k. But I loaned it out to my lil brother for his Zvx 15". N I hooked my lil RP800.1DM back up.. I know I should have loaned the small amp but I love that lil amp. It's been extremely reliable and it's signed by JP and Kevin so I'm definitely hanging on to it. Now my Sundown Xv3 8"s are signed by JP and Jacob Fuller and I have them packaged back up lol.
Damn, you have my previous setup 2 VXFs and the 2500.1D amp. You don't even have a high output alternator and you're hitting harder than me. In comparison to my setup, your subs are 4 ohm wired down to 1 ohm and mine are 2 ohm dvc. Your enclosure has 3 ports mine has 1, both tuned at 30Hz. You have a stock alternator and mine is a 320 amp. You have the 2500W amp and I have the 3500W amp, gain just below the halfway mark. Do you remember where your gain was set to? I'm with you, I want SQ over SPL but knowing mine aren't playing at their full potential is bothering me and I'm at my wits end trying to figure this out.

After watching your video in it's entirety I think your 4 ohm wired down to 1 ohm VXFs and your 3 port enclosure is probably why you're hitting harder. I've been having issues getting the right enclosure, I'm on my 3rd one. Did you see the 2 links on your other video I commented on?
what your box tuned at ? I have 2 pcs. Skar EVL 10 's D4. with stock alt and Big 3 under hood. amp GAS GPP 3500.1 g2 , conected on 1 ohm . All this is in 2013 Kia ceed sw. I will install a 350A alt and 1 bank of 35 ah LTO soon, because now, my voltage droped down to 12 V then I'm drive and can't give them all power :)
@@Kpaceguy a box system with one IB sub is far better. One playing outside the car while the box inside. You'll get ultra lows and highs. Not many want to cut holes in their car though.
@@Kpaceguy IB subs dont need as much power either. I got one 18 inch IB sub playing through the spare tire area inverted to the ground. I can hit hit 19hz loud enough to hear it blocks away with pressure. I'm probably the only guy in my area that has this set up.
I already have 1 rp 2000 im thinking of getting another r2000 to run on to 2 d2 subs each amp powering 1 sub each at 1 ohm instead of getting one of skars 4500 watt amps i think 2 rps could come close to the same power i would get with a 4500 watt amp pushin 2 subs. i can pull about 2100 rms at 1 ohm on my rp with my cars electrical which is good electrical stays up nun under 13.3 honestly but im wondering if i should stick to d2 evl 12s or should i get 2 d2 zvx im just dont know which would bang better between the 2 if i were to follow threw w that setup
@@daddysunderthebed8608 Depends on what car you have. Mechman is the most known high output alt company and they have alts for almost everything. There is a few other companies though.
They don't hit twice as loud.... They hardly hit harder at all. They won't be low voltage clipping tho and you could turn the speakers up higher without damaging them.
I have a 250 amp js alternator an optima red top and the big three pushing the rp1500 properly tuned yet my system isn't no where near as loud as yours lol and you have a stock alt. I don't get it 🙄

Quick note if you put the ports firing to the back you will get more spl in the cabin but other then that is a nice built great job bro 😎

also you do understand that amp makes its rated power at 14.4 i believe so you def needa up the volts

Ive been thinking about this setup in my 2017 golf and i think after i seen this ive made my descion
I have two builds. my 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium is factory Sony System, GP Audio 1/0 OFHC amp kit, Big 3, Skar SKv2 1500.1D, two Skar EVL 8s dual 4 ohms wired to 1 ohm. In a custom box built by Custom Lows. Then my big build is a 2007 Chevy Impala LTZ, 370 alt by Js Alt. Big 3, 2 runs of power and 2 runs of grounds front to back, and two more grounds in the back, XS Power D3400 under the hood, 2 Limitless Lithium 45ahs, goin be installing 4 banks of Limitless Lithium Super caps, Kenwood Excelon double din, Custom Speaker pods in the front doors, with 2 per door Skar FSX65 8ohm wired to 4ohm. a set of Skar VLX200-ST super tweets in the a-pillars, ran on a Skar SKv2 200.4D, 4 Sundown X 12s dual 2 ohms wired to 1 ohm on 4 Skar SKv2 3500.1D, two big ass ports boxes tuned to 33 hz in a wall.

What made you run both those subs to only one terminal on the box then to the amp? If you wired them both to the individual terminals on the box then ran those both to the two outputs on the amp wouldn't the amp still see that as 1 ohm since they're connected on the inside?
Yes it would be the fame but that's 1 less wire to visually see. It was all simply aesthetics

Man my Forte is tore up from bass lol, I have that silver hvac tape everywhere, even my sun glasses holder on the roof. Ita ghetto looking but it's the only thing that would hold. Now I know why demo vehicles always look raggedy. I first used color matched duct tape but it didn't hold long.
Also if your having rattles from your rear deck like I did, spray it with foam, if you do this nake sure to tape up any cracks where it may seep out on the interior.
What amperage does ur stock alternator have?? Have u had any issues with ur stock

Those subs are rated at 1500 rms each right? So the skv2 2500 can put out 3000 watts? I'm asking because I have 1, and I was thinking about upgrading my subs to 2 12's SA v2 1000 rms each. Sundown speakers are underrated. Let me know what you think

Have no idea what it meters but it's ridiculously loud 😂 I can float shit in my windows just on that lil rp800.1DM. so that says alot about the quality of the woofer n box. It's definitely above 144.9 Because my last sub n amp that was in the car done a 144.9 and that was a Skar DDX 15 D2 on a Skar RP3500.1D.. sold the amp n sub.. replaced it with two Sundown Sav3 8"s then traded the two Sa8"s for the Vxf 15".. and the Sa8"s done a 141.7 on music on a Soundstream TAi 3000.1D which does above rated almost 6k. But I loaned it out to my lil brother for his Zvx 15". N I hooked my lil RP800.1DM back up.. I know I should have loaned the small amp but I love that lil amp. It's been extremely reliable and it's signed by JP and Kevin so I'm definitely hanging on to it. Now my Sundown Xv3 8"s are signed by JP and Jacob Fuller and I have them packaged back up lol.

Damn, you have my previous setup 2 VXFs and the 2500.1D amp. You don't even have a high output alternator and you're hitting harder than me. In comparison to my setup, your subs are 4 ohm wired down to 1 ohm and mine are 2 ohm dvc. Your enclosure has 3 ports mine has 1, both tuned at 30Hz. You have a stock alternator and mine is a 320 amp. You have the 2500W amp and I have the 3500W amp, gain just below the halfway mark. Do you remember where your gain was set to? I'm with you, I want SQ over SPL but knowing mine aren't playing at their full potential is bothering me and I'm at my wits end trying to figure this out.
I have a 3000 watt amp gain at the 11 o clock position hitting mid 140s DB
At the time of the video it was the 2500.1D right?
That's where I'm at now, about the 11 o clock position. If I go any higher I start clipping. I haven't checked on what my db level is yet

@@Kpaceguy I have the SKV2 3500.1D for my subs, more efficient or powerful than that? After watching your video in it's entirety I think your 4 ohm wired down to 1 ohm VXFs and your 3 port enclosure is probably why you're hitting harder. I've been having issues getting the right enclosure, I'm on my 3rd one. Did you see the 2 links on your other video I commented on?

Not bad for having a stock alternator. Try pushing that box all the way back to reduce cancellation. It might get even louder.

I have 2 pcs. Skar EVL 10 's D4. with stock alt and Big 3 under hood. amp GAS GPP 3500.1 g2 , conected on 1 ohm . All this is in 2013 Kia ceed sw. I will install a 350A alt and 1 bank of 35 ah LTO soon, because now, my voltage droped down to 12 V then I'm drive and can't give them all power :)

@@Kpaceguy a box system with one IB sub is far better. One playing outside the car while the box inside. You'll get ultra lows and highs. Not many want to cut holes in their car though.

@@Kpaceguy IB subs dont need as much power either. I got one 18 inch IB sub playing through the spare tire area inverted to the ground. I can hit hit 19hz loud enough to hear it blocks away with pressure. I'm probably the only guy in my area that has this set up.

I'm running 2 Rockville subs in a 06 chevy aveo hatchback
I already have 1 rp 2000 im thinking of getting another r2000 to run on to 2 d2 subs each amp powering 1 sub each at 1 ohm instead of getting one of skars 4500 watt amps i think 2 rps could come close to the same power i would get with a 4500 watt amp pushin 2 subs. i can pull about 2100 rms at 1 ohm on my rp with my cars electrical which is good electrical stays up nun under 13.3 honestly but im wondering if i should stick to d2 evl 12s or should i get 2 d2 zvx im just dont know which would bang better between the 2 if i were to follow threw w that setup

When you upgrade to a 300a+ alternator it's going to hit twice as hard. You would be better off running 1 sub for now in a 3.0cu ft box for now

@@daddysunderthebed8608 Depends on what car you have. Mechman is the most known high output alt company and they have alts for almost everything. There is a few other companies though.
They don't hit twice as loud.... They hardly hit harder at all. They won't be low voltage clipping tho and you could turn the speakers up higher without damaging them.
I have a 250 amp js alternator an optima red top and the big three pushing the rp1500 properly tuned yet my system isn't no where near as loud as yours lol and you have a stock alt. I don't get it 🙄
its all about the box, tuning frequency and the settings in your head unit
