pull the pan off the Ford, pull a few rod caps and see if the crank is damaged. if it's not, replace all the bearings and the oil pump, and carry on! should be fine....
434 horsepower, very respectable Dan. The flat blue sounds like an interesting choice, should look good. Thanks for bringing us to the machine shop to learn about your engine. I don't know Dan you are one busy guy 👍✌️🇺🇲
434 not to shabby for stock heads some different heads and work on ports that intake you like might work I.d keep her Vic.jrs a great intake that motor with a 4spd and 3.73 posi on the street like they use to tell me a great friend who was a cop your becoming well known watch out streets hers DANNY ticket city here I come its going to be a sweet beast brother great video DANNI sweet girl keep them coming
Hello there cowboy here again great job on the Camero really like the idea of blue rather than black there's thousands of black a nice blue would be wonderful can't wait to see it remember always be safe healthy and happy God Bless 🤠 keep doing what you're doing and we'll keep watching 👍
Great video there Dan that was a lot of fun and that's flat blue all you gotta do is put flattening agent in the paint you make it right down to eggshell
Or more likely you'd be banned from the premises. It's a business. These men are working for their livings. In other words to provide for their families. Many youtube fans just don't seem to understand that concept! How many beer drinking buddies did you see hanging around in this video?
That’s so freaking cool Dan. This little small block is going to make Camaro run so good. I’m stoked for you man. Those Victor intakes are awesome. I ran one on many motors and loved it. Awesome video. 👍😎✌️
Fun video! It was nice to meet your friends, they have lots of knowledge to pull the horses out of your motor. Can’t wait to see the motor in your car & go for a rip!!! Greetings from St. Paul mn. Have you ever been to street machine nationals here in the twin cities? Would be great to meet you & Dani. Spend some more dollars so you can up your horsepower!!!
Wow....434hp with stock heads... that's awesome...flat blue...cool. thank you for allowing us to watch your dyno pulls.Cant wait till the next video Dan.
"492" angle plug heads are nice...I have a couple of sets...they and the "Turbo 292" heads were the baddest "over the counter" heads in the early '70s.
I’ve had 1 motor dynoed. It was a 13:1 468 that run on e85. It made 628hp and 647ft lb with a Howard’s cam and a Chinese intake, and a quick fuel e85 carb, and 72 open chamber oval port heads
I was thinking it would be around the 420 hp if you port the head's you can get 30 More but I can say it will be a beast with the 4 speed thank you for sharing 🤘💯🇺🇸
434 ponys in that light Camaro sounds like a ton of fun. I like flat black kinda looks menacing. Never have seen flat blue on a car, might be great. Enjoyed it Dan.
Enjoy watching the adventures of DDs speed shop ! My young Grandchildren do as well .. that's why I was so surprised when they came running to me. Telling me you had taken the Lord's name in Vein !? At first I was surprised but yep they were right . Thought this was a family friendly channel ?
Down here in Central PA , there is an engine builder who has a sign on the wall that reads" It's not a matter of money, its how fast do you wanna go" His engines are killer.
Great episode Dan. I found the dyno testing very interesting. Would have liked to see what happens with some Vortec heads. Thanks for taking us along. I'm thinking matt black is fine, but with some gloss black stripes and rims.
A single carburetor on any type of a tunnel Ram style intake is hard to get good fuel distribution, Cut the top off of it and make one for dual carbs and you'll be fine :)
Hey Dan That was fun, happy it all worked out for you. My vote would be the flat blue. Whatever you choose I know it will be a nice car. Take care of Yourself 😊
I recommend either 20w50 or 60w racing oil, and a bottle of either Lucas or STP. It will be thick enough to fill in the gap between the bearing and journal and handle the pressure without metal to metal contact. That's a sweet little motor. But the flat black just doesn't cut it. All that work and all that money, it deserves better.
Another vote for flat/satin blue. TCP global sells a line of flat hotrod paint in huge spectrum of colors. I like flat black as much as anyone. But there’s almost NO ONE (not among the channels I follow, anyway) who has done the new paint in a flat but colored finish. I think the flat color approach would also fit in with your strategy for minimal bodywork. Great video, by the way. Enjoyed the dyno session.
Gotta love it. Shouldn't have any trouble lighting up the tires with that small block. Give it the once over in flat black and you'll be done and on to your next project.
Great Video, everyone loves a Dyno Session. I really love the matte blue idea. However if you can't find it, I believe any very dark matte color would look nice. Very dark matte brown, green, grey, even purple would look nice. As long as it's very dark.
Matte blue would look good 👍🏻
I like the flat blue idea, hopefully it will be easy and relatively cheap.
I believe HotRod Flats makes a couple shades of blue.. and relatively cheap
Flat Blue!! Fantastic!! Loved the dyno pulls! Fun times!!
Wow! Pulling through 400 ponies is amazing! Those guys know their stuff. Thanks for taking us along on the Dyno.
Satin blue. Think it would be mint!
Thanks for sharing this video with us
You're gonna have a lot of fun with that Camaro, can't wait to see it 👍👍
pull the pan off the Ford, pull a few rod caps and see if the crank is damaged. if it's not, replace all the bearings and the oil pump, and carry on! should be fine....
ZACTLY!!
Roll them rid bearings in. Done it, before. Works, like a charm. As long as, the crankshaft journal is good. Probably, is.
Good plan
This.
That’s a great plan.
Open it up before you order parts.
You can always put flat clearcoat on whatever color you choose.
Flat blue sounds really amazing.
Blue like a blued steel pistol!
434 horsepower, very respectable Dan. The flat blue sounds like an interesting choice, should look good. Thanks for bringing us to the machine shop to learn about your engine. I don't know Dan you are one busy guy 👍✌️🇺🇲
Thanks goodness for a 30
Minute video! I can actually sit down watch it one sitting.
DD’s dyno dream machine is back I’m glad you’re working on the Camaro again
434 not to shabby for stock heads some different heads and work on ports that intake you like might work I.d keep her Vic.jrs a great intake that motor with a 4spd and 3.73 posi on the street like they use to tell me a great friend who was a cop your becoming well known watch out streets hers DANNY ticket city here I come its going to be a sweet beast brother great video DANNI sweet girl keep them coming
Awesome Dan. Thanks for taking us along👍💯
I never would have thought a spacer would make that much difference. Nice plant Dan! Very exciting video, tks for sharing.
Dyno day was a learning experience
Well, that was fun ! Love the dyno pulls ! I also vote for flat blue !
Great Dyno detective work!
Dan you have 2 great tuners there. I am 71 this year and raced off and on through my life. And I learned more watching this show! Right on buddy !
Hello there cowboy here again great job on the Camero really like the idea of blue rather than black there's thousands of black a nice blue would be wonderful can't wait to see it remember always be safe healthy and happy God Bless 🤠 keep doing what you're doing and we'll keep watching 👍
Yes! Flat blue! Go for it!
The dyno demo was worth it. Sounds like a good motor.
Pretty good for stock heads 👍 Make a nice weekend cruiser. Flat blue might actually look good on it.
Great video! Enjoyed the new content. Can't wait for this build to progress. I personally would enjoy watching the body work.
430 does sound like it will be fun! Enjoyed seeing those AED carburetor boxes up there in Canada.
I love my 750HO AED! It was almost perfect out of the box.
Mr DD speed shop, that basket case is really something out of the wickedness of a hot rodders vision , you should be very proud, regards Rob
Flat blue would be base coat without clear flat black so 90s LOL great Dino video thanks Dan and Danny
My thoughts exactly.
I was close in my guesstimate lol. I said 375hp. That'll push that pony car along just fine. Love the channel!
Love that truck. 460 and C-6 is what you really want to do.
My guess was 425. Flat blue. Flat black hockey stripe
Good thing you are stocking up on tires, they are going to be roasted soon! Flat blue would be unique and cool!
I Like the flat blue idea it will give the car a survivor look.
Flat blue would be great! Fun video with the dyno!
Great video there Dan that was a lot of fun and that's flat blue all you gotta do is put flattening agent in the paint you make it right down to eggshell
That’s definitely going to be a fun little hot rod.
That engine is so sweet. The Camaro is going to run, run, run. Nice. Cheers!! 😎
Loves the dynamic video. People learn alot from this.
That was a fun and interesting video Dan .
Like DD Engine Masters Show today!! Tons of Scmoo! LoL Camaro is gonna lift a front tire with that mill in it. Awesome guys!!

Dyno info teaches you alot. Good show.
Love this !!! Am I the only one feeling my right foot pushing down every time they made a pull on that motor ? So awesome !!!
This guy is KOOL!!! I wish I lived around the corner from him ..I would be over all the time LEARNING!!!!!
Or more likely you'd be banned from the premises. It's a business. These men are working for their livings. In other words to provide for their families.
Many youtube fans just don't seem to understand that concept! How many beer drinking buddies did you see hanging around in this video?
Flat blue wow that would look great. Either way paint it to your liking. We appreciate all the vids.
Made more power than I expected for sure
I love listening to the guys at the dyno shop! They always make me feel dumb! 😂
Love watching dyno pulls to what works or doesn't
That’s so freaking cool Dan. This little small block is going to make Camaro run so good. I’m stoked for you man. Those Victor intakes are awesome. I ran one on many motors and loved it. Awesome video. 👍😎✌️

Thears nothing better than the sound of a classic v8 on a dyno 😊
Wow....434hp with stock heads... that's awesome...flat blue...cool. thank you for allowing us to watch your dyno pulls.Cant wait till the next video Dan.
"492" angle plug heads are nice...I have a couple of sets...they and the "Turbo 292" heads were the baddest "over the counter" heads in the early '70s.
The Camaro is gonna haul butt! Great power from the SBC. Power on!!

You can add flattening agent into any single stage color or... Use flat/matte clear coat.
Enjoyed it Dan.
flat blue would be awesome, and I'm still on Team Steelies and Dog dishes!
Diesel engine transplant will be a very cool engine in the Ford truck.
Your dyno guys ARE made to be on the internet.
Right? They're awesome
Glad to see you get a cool motor. Enjoy
Imagine that mill with a good performance set of heads ! .. flat blue would be awesome!
Yes, flat blue, great stuff at the dyno.
Flat electric blue would be bad ass and some old style cragers and a lot of chrome
Awesome job on getting the motor tuned up. Running awesome again. Keep up the great work.
Enjoy watching the adventures of DDs speed shop ! My young Grandchildren do as well .. that's why I was so surprised when they came running to me. Telling me you had taken the Lord's name in Vein !? At first I was surprised but yep they were right . Thought this was a family friendly channel ?

I'm thinking matt black is fine, but with some gloss black stripes and rims.
Another great video. Flat blue with a light blue nose stripe would be killer. This is sure to be a ripper
Good to see the 492's on the dyno, I have a ported set on my truck and they run good.
That 4spd is going to be like glass behind that thing. I like it.
Dan and Dani how are ya. How about pale yellow GM color from the lare 60s. Just a thought guys.
Good numbers out of that 350. I'd be happy with it!
A single carburetor on any type of a tunnel Ram style intake is hard to get good fuel distribution, Cut the top off of it and make one for dual carbs and you'll be fine :)
Damn good dyno numbers .
flat blue is an interesting idea
Great video! Nice change up.👍
Big Block Chevy will fit in the F-250 pickup . My buddy had a Ford truck like that and the 454 fit in it like a glove , very easy to install .
Sounds so good, great video dan
Good luck on driving out west 😁😁
Matte Blue would be awesome, call it "DD Speed Shop Denim"!
Motor sounds great also blue or black flat would look good
Hey Dan
That was fun, happy it all worked out for you. My vote would be the flat blue. Whatever you choose I know it will be a nice car.
Take care of Yourself 😊
Some of the factory blues from that era are really nice
He's wearing a Roadkill T Shirt! Totally legit business!
Nice little change great video
Flat blue would look so cool!
That engine sounds nice and healthy.
Thanks Dan and Danni. love this video, keep up the good work
Motor should make that Car run very Nice Dan and Dani
I love it. I was at dyno when i did a 454 for my 72 nova. More money more power lol
I recommend either 20w50 or 60w racing oil, and a bottle of either Lucas or STP. blue basecoat with flat clear
Hot rod flats makes flat blue and every other color you can imagine
You can get flat or semi gloss automotive paint! The flat blue sounds cool!
The new engine sounds great
Nice!!! Great HP numbers out of stock heads! Imagine what it would do with a great set of aluminum heads! It's only money!
Haha im out of money
Another vote for flat/satin blue. TCP global sells a line of flat hotrod paint in huge spectrum of colors.

The Dyno guys were great.
Hard to beat the Victor Jr.! Proven over and over again in lots of applications.
Hot rod flatz has some awesome colors!
Great Video, everyone loves a Dyno Session. I really love the matte blue idea. However if you can't find it, I believe any very dark matte color would look nice. Very dark matte brown, green, grey, even purple would look nice. As long as it's very dark.
