Here in England we call it "Rabbiting" when someone keeps going on and talking too much (It comes from Cockney Rhyming slang Rabbit and Pork = Talk) so I imagine Dom would understand if he gets told "You keep rabbiting on" though I can't imagine Connor saying that to him.

Great to see Brannon. I do love hearing the writer’s perspective. Dom, I love ya, but you keep talking over your guests! I wanted to hear the rest of the Scott Bakula casting! Gonna reach out and smack you next time honey, and you’ll like it too.
Thank you for pointing this out. I've been wanting to say it for a long time but didn't want to come off as the rude person in the room. Dom talks way, way, way too much and constantly interrupts the guests and Connor on every single episode, especially when they're about to make a point or tell a story. Then they get off track and never get back to what they were initially going to say. Sometimes I wonder why Connor is even there, I think Dom wants to host all by himself and no one ever tries to reign him in. 😂
@@katrinaelizabeth9069 sometimes it isn’t a problem when you have someone with a personality as strong as his. But both Rick and Brannon seem rather mild mannered, quiet guys, so it was just more obvious.
Yes, I agree. Dom talks over guests too much. Love his energy and eagerness to know but he needs to find a balance. I wonder if that section talking about Scott was a bit of a ‘coverup’ or an awkward edit. I need to listen again…what a shame gonna have to listen to it all again ❤️❤️🤗
@@magicalmystery1964 - I think it's that THEY (Connor And Brannon) understood the assignment. When you ask someone a question - you shut the hell up and leave the space open for them to respond. You don't walk all over what they are saying, and tell their stories FOR them. Brannon was the GUEST - the focus should have been on HIM - not Dom.
I hope they get Scott to come on the show and do 2 hours. But I really hope they can get Jolene. I thought she was great. Connor said she didn't like the Trip/T'Pol romance and didn't like a lot of T'Pol's character development. I know she is married with kids and that takes a lot of time to do right, but I am curious if her experience on " Enterprise " is the main reason she retired from acting? I also would to know what Linda Park is up too. I would really like Paramount + to bring Enterprise back, but only with original cast!
A miniseries about Trip working in Section 31 (faked his own death) and reuniting with the ENT crew would be so good. Maybe set it near the end of the Romulan War.
Just watched the 2 Brannon episodes and I really thought it would be great if Jolene would come on the show. She did an excellent job with T'pol. She was probably my favorite vulcan. It was great to see how she went from almost being disgusted of being assigned to Enterprise to beeing Archers most trusted officer. Her battling emotions, logic... It was absolutely great. I can't imagine any other actress playing T'pol. Even though my first ST show I watched was TNG but I was just a kid in primary school. Voyager was aired during my high school. But Enterprise was just at the time I started college, and Enterprise is truly "my show". Just loved the early stages of human travel, earlier vulcans, tech and all not so far into the future. Just loved the show, shame it did not go on at least 2 more seasons, or 7 as Voyager. Bring it back for at least a miniseries 😃.
Great podcast all! If I may, a small note for Dominic. Don't be afraid to let your guests have the floor when they answer. It is completely understandable that you're excited, and granted the editor isn't helping you, but you never want to pull focus from your guests as they navigate their train of thought when replying. Keep up the great work all!
I hear what your saying, but it’s kind of a fine line here or a balance because the podcast format is more relaxed conversation then a traditional interview. I would get the female host in the shot more and have them all in the shot together. The interjections are amplified with the zoom in on individuals. I agree, so much great info on all our favorite Trek members. Keep going
Welcome to the Shuttlepod show. Our guest this episode is irrelevant as it’s just going to be Dominic Keating constantly talking about himself and hogging all the attention for the duration of the episode. Please stay tuned to watch us waste the guests and viewers time then ask for Patreon money to do this all again. This is a great opportunity to learn about the guest - stop wasting it!
Yes, the guests are so interesting. And that constant interrruption, every interview I have to end after a few minutes because itv is so annoying. The Berman interview I could get through, maybe there was more respect, but this. Even Braga seems annoyed at times. Please let the interviewee speak. It is nice if the interviewer knows his stuff and can get the facts straight occasionally -that is one reason he/she is there for - but apart from that the stage belongs to the guest.
Thank you so much Dominic and Conner for taking the time to interview Brannon Braga. Out of all the writers in the Star Trek franchise, he has remained my favorite. I felt since Gene Roddenberry, Braga understood the franchise from stem to stern. His episodes in Voyager and Enterprise were excellent, especially with character building. I do agree that a Temporal Cold War show would have been excellent and captivating for the audience. We definitely need ideas like that to bring audiences together and not divide them like most shows do nowadays. I feel modern TV shows will never live up to the standard and class that Braga and his team had with Star Trek. They were classic, timeless and very philosophical. Once the episode was over, you would want to talk to someone about it and the moral lessons that you got out of the episode. Keep up the great work, gentleman! You have a new viewer with me! Looking forward to part 2 🖖🏻
I absolutely love this show! Enterprise was given the short stick of the entire franchise. It was the first spinoff that I actually could connect to all of the characters since the original. Thank you for this show!
It was so interesting getting a look into Brannon Braga's start with the Star Trek franchise and background into the time constraints for the writers and actors from episode to episode. Big thanks to all of you in @Shuttlepod Show for putting these on! ❤💛💙🤓🖖🏾
It was really interesting to hear Brannon's comments on the Temporal Cold War aspect, especially when he mentions Season One's "Cold Front" its one of my favourite episodes of the series. Thank you to Brannon, Connor, Dominic, Erica and the ShuttlephodShow team for this interview, it's fantastic hearing these recollections from the people behind the scenes. Please can you get the absolute Star Trek music legend that is Jay Chattaway on? Jay contributed some of the greatest cues to Star Trek. Thank you again. I can't wait for part 2. Happy Sunday everyone! LLAP
37:48 Bill Mumy did an interview where he talks about being a guest on DS9 and being astonished by doing a take where he used a contraction instead of saying "cannot" or whatever, and being told that any changes to the script needed approval.
great episode, thank you again! Brannon seems to be a really cool guy. i hope you can get Scott on the show, that would be amazing! :) Live long & have *Faith of the Heart*
Connor, Dom and Erica: congrats on another enthralling episode! I loved that this episode was an hour long deep dive on the script writing process. As someone who has been writing as a hobby for quite a long time, learning how concepts and scripts get discussed and brought into being - especially when it comes to something I deeply care about like Star Trek - brings me endless enjoyment. I liked how Brannon didn't sugar coat the fact that not all scripts were winners but that even bad scripts weren't entirely unsalvageable either. It appeared very honest, especially coming from someone at the center of it all. Of course hearing how Star Trek is so timeless and beloved will never get tiresome either. Just like Shuttlepod Show, it is something truly unique and special. Very happy to see Wash is thriving as well - he looks so comfortable in his own little chair. As always, I look forward to what next week has in store - happy Shuttlepod Sunday everyone!
I have really been enjoying watching you all, Connor, Dominic, Erica and Mark. Being in our 60’s, my wife and I have been Star Trek fans for a long time, and have very much appreciated the writers and actors. And thank you Brannon for all the incredible writing! You all have really been using what talents you have, and hope you all will receive a “Well done, good and faithful servant.” All the best to you, and thanks so much for the interesting and entertaining shows!
I was living in another country when it was first aired, but when ever I was in the States, I would make a point of watching‼️ Thank God for Paramount+
Quite interesting this episode 15. What emerges is an awareness that there is so much meticulous, almost surgical work for the script. And then the magic happens: the talent of the actors makes it something so natural. You actors are beings of light! many thanks
Y'all look so relaxed sitting and talking with Brannon. Like old friends getting together for a drink 🍸 So awesome! ❤️ And getting Brannon's backstory of how he got started in Trek.
Watching this on Memorial Day, so Im thinking of all the fallen. Just thinking about my mates who didnt make it home. Thanks for helping me make it through the day.
Ok, this is amazing. I can't believe I didn't discover this sooner. Dom, Connor and crew, if you read this, first off I want to say a big thank you for doing this. You have no idea how much I appreciate the time and effort you put into it. I have been a Trekkie since 1997 when I was just 11 years old. My aunt and uncle introduced me to Voyager (I even recall the episodes, the two parter Futures End), and I was hooked immediately. I was so sad to see it end in its seventh season, only to find out that Enterprise had been announced..! I hung on to every single scrap of information I could get my hands on (dialup was king!). I still have some of the trailer video files from back then, never deleted them. I got special permission from my parents to stay up late to watch the pilot, and I cannot begin to describe how amazing it was. What an introduction to such an amazing concept like seeing humanities first real steps into deep space. As the cap'n said "Let's see what's out there!". There was a real sense of honest wonder and naivety to it. Anyway, suffice it to say I was shocked and devastated to learn of the shows cancellation. Maybe a bit angry at the decision makers. They really had no idea what a jewel Enterprise is. A week ago I completed a rewatch of the show, and it still is that jewel. And Dom, just like you, I will fight anyone who speaks unkindly about Faith of the Heart!
Did yall catch this pearl? Every success story is different except in one regard. You don’t succeed alone. It always takes someone, or multiple people, taking an interest in you and helping you along. As a life coach I often seek out and share the wisdoms that impact me in some way when watching videos, whenever I am able. This is one I found here.
Loved this interview. Brannon was extremely interesting and forthcoming with his observations of starting with Star Trek through even working on The Orville New Horizons. His studio commentary on production, scripts and even casting were incredible. Connor and Dominick have an incredibly insightful show! Thank you guys. Bravo!
Without a doubt, this is THE best podcast show I've ever watched. I love the end bit, where yall talk about sci-fi metaphor writing. I think part of the strength of that is lost today, in our world. Where we reject ideas including "blackface" or "cultural appropriation."
This is a hell of a podcast boys. I bought the Enterprise seasons 1-4 on blu ray here in Australia about 8 years ago, and I watch them A LOT. More than any other Trek series. Finished season 2 and about to start the great season 3 for the second time this year. Those sit down interviews on the blu rays are excellent too. Love your work. Keep it up!
Great interview! FWIW, I think starting ENT on Earth for the first season could have been really Interesting - conflict with the Vulcans, building the ship, training, seeing the changes in society on Earth. I hope we get that part of the Star Trek story one day. 👽👨🚀Loving the show. LLAP🖖
This is the premium star trek podcast that's delivered FREE. Great work as always. Consider putting up shorter clips on topic also for visibility. This show deserves more viewers.
Totally! More viewers and subscribers. I thought this show would spread like wildfire. Even if "Enterprise" isn't as popular as some other series (although it seems to be gaining appreciation nearly 20 years after its untimely end), Star Trek has an automatic fanbase of hundreds of thousands of people, and almost all of the guests have been on multiple incarnations of the franchise. Plus, how often do Rick Berman and Brannon Braga give interviews? Do you think it has something to do with the name of the channel (which, unfortunately, can not be changed without a lot of drama)? When you say "shorter clips on topic", what do you mean? Like teasers during the week? My BFF is a producer on this-I'm practically a Star Trek virgin-but I try to be helpful and I do actually enjoy this program. It has inspired me to check out other Trek-related channels so I'm not as clueless, and they have so many more views and subs. I realize it takes time to grow a channel, but this should be getting more attention. 🖖
@@annika_panicka Exactly. I think shorter clips taken from the full interviews will attract attention. So it could be "Rick Berman on Star Trek Enterprise Cancellation" and three minutes of him discussing that etc. Videos that are over 20 minutes are considered "long" by the search filter and often don't show up unless you select that filter when searching. Some shorter clips will get it out there more I feel. Saying all that it takes a while to get these things out there. If not already, I would send a press release to all major trek sites every week like Trek Movie. You can send them a clip with a transcription that makes a good headline. Also the full show link. A taste of what's in the 50 minutes will entice people. I'm sure producers know all this anyway but I hope to see this grow.
I really enjoy your approach to Enterprise and the Star Trek franchise, its the nuts and bolts of "Enterprise's Story" and the good people who worked their hearts out to tell it! Great shows ... keep them coming.
I just want to say thank you guys. The podcast is a blast (i'm finding myself basically binging all the episodes) and i truly appreciate that you made the video form of the podcast aviable for free, will sub on patreon as soon as i get some spare changes, bless you
Keep them coming, definitely the best Star Trek video/podcast on air, can’t wait for episode 2 of this interview with Brannon he is just so good to listen to, but please Dominic let the guest finish the question otherwise a great show and great interviews. Ed from South Australia 🇦🇺
So great to hear Brannons take from a writers POV. It sounds like they wrote a LOT in a small amount of time. I hope the Star Trek writers didnt suffer too much burnout. Great episode! Catch you next week!
Why aren't there more subscribers and views? Where else can you see/hear recent, intimate, two-part interviews with Brannon Braga and Rick Berman in the course of a month? I guess I'm preaching to the choir here... Spread the word! 🖖
I never gave the Orville a chance because I thought it was just some silly Seth McFarland parody of Star Trek, then after watching this interview and finding out people from Star Trek were involved in making the Orville, I went and bended the entire thing and now I'm watching season 3 with just complete Joy. It's everything I ever hoped for in a new Star Trek series just without the old names, season 3 is just f****** incredible I really hope it gets picked up another season and many more to come, I can't recommend it enough for any Sci-Fi TV fans, especially old school Star Trek fans.
McFarlane's show is excellent, and I like that it's a little less serious than traditional Star Trek while still having the gravitas. It really helps that Seth has been a Star Trek fan for a very long time. He played Trip's assistant engineer aboard the NX-02 Columbia for a few episodes/scenes.
I love getting to see Shuttlepod every Sunday but I want to give you guys a little feedback. Dom, I loved the two shows that were about you but you should try to remember that when you're a host of a radio show that it is about the guest and what they are saying. It's great to hear from you but your mic is very hot and you are talking too much. This is a tough lesson to learn, I know, because I had to learn it back when podcasting started. Great show, great concept, great guests, great stories - but let's hear from the guest more. I hope you can take this as intended. Keep 'em coming guys.
I'm right there with you on this one, it's clear that Dominic (such a wonderful man) is highly extroverted and *very* charming. It can take over the show a little, I've always found myself wishing that Connor would speak more but I think he's just trying to balance out Dominic's exuberance. Love the energy in these podcasts, can't wait to start D-Con!
Great interview with Brannon Braga. The ideas for the temperal cold war timeline were great, I do wish there was more episodes of it. I also think the idea of the whole first season being on earth and building up to the launch, finding the crew would have been a cool concept. I watched enterprise when it first came out and been rewatching it recently and it's still a great show with amazing writing and cast
It's good to see and hear from Brannon Braga though it still feels like he's hurting from the way things went down with Enterprise. He caught a lot of flack and criticism for the show when it came out back in the day, a lot of it undeserved but it hurt all the same. I hope Enterprise's recent resurgence helps him enjoy the legacy more. It really wasn't a failed show and definitely not a franchise killer.
I agree completely. I have the impression that if "The Enterprise" had been released in Europe (perhaps with subtitles), then the series would have been a hit!
If you google what he said about fans that complained about continuity, maybe criticism was justified. I think the phrase was "continuity pornographers". Well, gee, thanks, dude. How many points do you think that made you with the fans that have been watching the previous three series over 21 seasons?
Oh YOU GUYS, thank you for this. Brannon is such core and his experience with working on Star Trek is different than Rick's but I think equally as significant. And yes, his idea for temporal cold war stand-alone series STILL has so much potential, a Star Trek "multiverse".
I'm curious if you could get Bill Shatner to do a sitdown with you both. Your shows parallel each other. Both shows 100% deserved to go longer than they did, so early cancellation is in common. Both are trailblazers with regard to not having a blueprint before you,,other than the two pilots for the TOS, Shatner's show was free to lay down what was to become the trek lore/cannon, and Enterprise was to lay down "all" the cannon. Some real fun angles to converse with him. Keep up the show, truly truly love it!
Just listening to the part of the interview where Connor talks about people saying they didn't watch when it was released. I did watch on release, and I liked it. However I recenty rewatched Enterprise having sat through season 3 of Star Trek Discovery. STD is so far removed from what Star Trek should be it heightened my appreciation for the genuine article that Star Trek Enterprise is! Had Enterprise been released today it would be getting 7 seasons.
Just catching up on vacation in Skye. I know many people had a problem with the temporal Cold War but I soon got used to the idea. Hey - the NX01 crew could time travel and end up on Strange New Worlds? Wishful thinking, I know. You people just seem so approachable …. Is that true? It’s interesting to get these perspectives from the writers/producers. IMhumbleO I think you had the best show! Please get Scott, Linda and Jolene in an episode. I had one acting role and I couldn’t be word perfect 0 the audience got a different version every night. Love these podcasts
In retrospect, I often feel bad about the amount of fan outrage that might have been directed at Brannon. He's responsible for some really great Star Trek stuff. With that volume of content, anyone would have a few bad scripts.
It was really interesting to take a closer look at the job of a writer. Of course, you can’t deliver only perfect stories, especially not when the time pressure is so high, but I think that most of the Enterprise stories were really good and often conveyed a message! In that, Enterprise’s stories continued the tradition of the Original Series and have always upheld the spirit of Star Trek. And even mediocre scripts simply became good episodes thanks to the talented actors, as Brannon pointed out.
Another way to think about people coming up and saying I didn't watch at the time is to remember that you have no idea what was going on in their lives. I know for me this wasn't a time I was watching much tv. I didn't get to see anything when it came out. Once the shows were easier to watch and my life was more open I chose to watch all these series. ;)
On the point of watching the show the first time around or not I was living in England in 2001 and 2002 but then returned to Germany so I watched the first season and a bit but then stopped. During the pandemic I bought the DVD box and binged it.
I like the concept of starting Enterprise on Earth. That would have giving more details of the back story, but I think it would have taken a season or so to get to the point of "Broken Bow". I think "First Flight" actually did a very good job at condensing the back story. The concept of a series based on the Temporal Cold War is intriguing.
STO has done a bit to flesh out things with some really interesting ideas, but Discovery skipped right past it to where time travel is illegal. There's a lot there that can be done that could make for really good television. I was lukewarm with the idea of a a Temporal Cold War at first, but I think it's more that it didn't get enough treatment in Enterprise. I would definitely watch a series that explored it further.
Great to hear the person behind the name again after seeing the name in the credits so often. I would also like to recommend The Orville to everyone who likes Star Trek. It is not a cheap ripoff - it's a well-crafted show that pays homage to ST so well! Seasons 1 & 2 were good as they were quite funny and season 3 - "New Horizons" - is less funny (intentionally) but with excellent storytelling. I SO hope it gets renewed for a season 4!
It is beautiful how the Temporal Cold War highlights the fear of the power of the idea of the Federation and John Archer’s special ability to facilitate cooperation and compromise. It helps justify the primacy of humanity in the Star Trek universe. Let Brannon know when he’s ready to create the time travel show I’ve got it knocking around between my ears and being written to page now…
Had to add while Odyssey 5 was superb, ground breaking and ending on a cliffhanger never to be resolved, if it hadn't been cancelled we would never have gotten the superb 3rd and 4th seasons of Enterprise.
I am sorry Connor, but I did not watch Entreprise when it came out. But I watched it this year, and boy was I missing out. Love the podcast. I don't know why people leave negative comments. I love you all on this podcast. I would like Erica to talk more about herself, be involved more.
Enterprise IS my Trek. Grew up on TOS reruns right as TNG came along. Loved TNG. BUT…Enterprise was just great. Loved the real world submarine vibe of the ship and the crew were great
My favorite line from enterprise is when Archer is looking at the "old clipper ship" and he says, "It's like going back in time." The episode was alright, but that moment stuck with me.
Yes please, for the love of god, let you guests talk and stop interrupting them. This seems to have become a habit now and is getting more frustrating with each passing week .I don't know if Keating even realizes how bad it is, he needs to start watching these performances back.
Submit them on the website or social media anyway. Maybe there will be future interviews, or a special such as "Berman and Braga answer Shuttlepod Show's most asked questions"-Lol.
Brannon Braga's and the films stories have influenced my scifi filmmaking. Irony is it is possible that Discovery's forcefield walkway and personal bubble were inspired by my old Salvaging Outer Space, which borrowed from many scifi, especially Trek. Braga rules!
Really nice set design and lighting on this one! Perhaps running the screen mesh vertical to avoid the horizontal lines would have been a better choice and just maybe a bit more crinkles for more texture and adding up lights on the edges of the set would avoid the dark drop-off. But I have always loved this technique and have used it often, myself.
Connor - I didn't watch it the first time cause I was 11 and enterprise was the first star trek I saw !! Be nice to us new comers. Doms response about taking money was gold 🤣🖖❤
He’s really gotta stop interrupting the guests. Like in every show the guest would have more to say to be cut off for mostly filler or a totally different subject. Let them finish speaking please.
Its great that he was able to read Manny's pilot for "odyssey 5" show, that got him on Trek. That was also a pretty neat show, but didn't make it very long.
Odyssey 5's arc, which sadly was never completed because the show was axed, is totally relevant today, with 3D "bio-printing" and AI technologies really getting going. It was a series ahead of its time.
@The Shuttlepod Show I'm just now catching these podcasts. They're fantastic and I'm not too "into" podcasts, in general. I've heard you all mention, a few times, about how the fans discovered your show "Enterprise." Now, I've been a fan of Star Trek since TOS so that will give you a feel for my age. I never could get into DS9 (and I've tried about 4-5 times and sort of made it to season 2 but my interest would always fade away). Voyager I only ever caught randomly and never got "invested" into the show/characters. "Enterprise" was different. I was interested in the show from the start BUT (and it is a big but)...It was an absolute challenge to watch it. You never knew what day of the week it was going to be on and with my work schedule, it never seemed to align with when I had time. Time shifting (taping) only works when you know when the show will be on...and Enterprise was always a game, with respect to that. As such, I didn't catch most of the episodes (on the original airing) unless the moon and stars lined up with when it was on and when I was home. Fast Forward a bit...Again, always a Trek fan and had TOS on Laserdisc, then DVD and now Blu-ray...likewise TNG I had on DVD (and now Blu-ray...since they redid the effects to get it in an HD quality). As you all have mentioned, "Enterprise" was on Netflix (a common theme you've mentioned) and wham. I got to see the show from episode 1 on out. I love it. Certainly not every episode but all of the shows have had their cringe-worthy episodes but, by and large "Enterprise stands up with the best of them. Season 3 was truly inspired and incredible to have that arc with all of the mini-adventures in it. It was incredible and it was completely lost on me on the original airing because something like that really does need a week-to-week viewing (or binging for late-comers). "Enterprise" now sits right next to TOS and TNG in my Blu-ray collection (you all benefited from being in the HD era). You should have received 7-seasons but I understand why it got cut short based on my own frustrations on the original airing. That said, it wasn't ever the show's fault...it was sabotaged in the manner in which it was aired. It thwarted fans and potential fans. I do think that omitting the "Star Trek" name from the show on seasons 1 and 2 was a mistake that didn't help the show find its audience. On the song and montage, I'm a fan of seasons 1 and 2 and found them quite fitting...the discoed up version of the song in 3 and 4 was a downgrade. Thanks for the podcast and thanks for the great work on "Enterprise."
Thanks for the episode! I just wish Dominic would sometimes let the guest answer with more than one word before asking the second and third question. He interrupts the guest all the time with his commenting and questioning and not listening the answers. Maybe a triple tranquilizer with a quart of single malt before the show would calm him? :)
so nobody wanted the prequel but now we are watching snw that is a prequel and it's cool , what a pity enterprise couldn't benefit of the streaming , it would have lasted seven season for sure
I love this podcast and both Connor and Dominic, but if I had any criticism at all, it's that Dom needs to learn to give the guests time answer the questions he's asking.

Noticed doms constant interrupting too. It is annoying but that being said it's a rare complaint about this show !
I’ve seen the suggestion that Jolene Blalock’s T’Pol could return as a mentor to Spock in Strange New Worlds and the idea is way too good to pass up.
100% on this one mate
@@VideoFeverShow I have not heard that. I hope that happens!
Had no idea this was out there.... they keep showing up on my you tube thread. I Thank you firstly....for all your contributions to the trek universe.
I love it when Dom says " God bless ya mate "
The legends are turning up for the Shuttlepod. Awesome!
+1 Totally agree, the conversation is cut off before people get to finish a thought pretty frequently. Love the Show though!
@@TL-cc8kcit’s not an interview, it’s a podcast.
I could listen to Rick and Brannon talk for hours about their experiences with the show. Fantastic!
It was so interesting getting a look into Brannon Braga's start with the Star Trek franchise and background into the time constraints for the writers and actors from episode to episode. Big thanks to all of you in @Shuttlepod Show for putting these on! ❤💛💙🤓🖖🏾
These interviews with Rick Berman and Brannon Braga are amazing thank you so much for these!
I'm so glad to see this is gonna be a 2 part show. Can't wait to hear more from him. I think Brannon Braga did a great job with ENT.
Really enjoying these chats with those in the know who you don’t normally hear from. Thank you!
great episode, thank you again! Brannon seems to be a really cool guy. i hope you can get Scott on the show, that would be amazing! :) Live long & have *Faith of the Heart*
After Berman, it is nice to hear Brannon Braga. Great show!!!!
7:46 That's an AMAZING EPISODE!!! Took me a bit because I don't know names of episodes well, glad he described it for us!
Thank you Mr. Braga for some great storytelling.
Thank you for your service.
Awesome stuff guys. Keep this rolling as the show is genuinely entertaining. Got me into Angel's Envy too......I prefer Tamnavulin usually.
Thank you Vintage. This is awesome. You are rad.
I'm so glad to see these interviews, thank you team, great to see Brannon, he looks well!
LOVELOVELOVE this Podcast! You all are so great, with such a fun, chill flow.
Yay, thank you!
Watched and will watch every episode but still waiting for Scott, Jolene and Linda. You can do it.
I just still can't get over how amazing this podcast is! Looks like I'm going to try and join the Patreon.
Love this podcast, hope more people get on to this, what a treat.
Love tuning in every week. Love listening to the stories. Star Trek will always been my extended family. Thank you so much for making this. Nanu nanu
LLAP🖖
"Reunion" is my EARLIEST Trek memory. I saw it as a kid. Wow! Pivotal and most classic; that is one of my favorites as a result.
We are working on exactly that! Thank you for the advice!
This is awesome. thank you!
I really enjoy your approach to Enterprise and the Star Trek franchise, its the nuts and bolts of "Enterprise's Story" and the good people who worked their hearts out to tell it! Great shows ... keep them coming.
Another powerhouse episode. Love the time travel episodes which were mostly written by Brannon if I'm not mistaken. Thanks guys!
I just want to say thank you guys. The podcast is a blast (i'm finding myself basically binging all the episodes) and i truly appreciate that you made the video form of the podcast aviable for free, will sub on patreon as soon as i get some spare changes, bless you
You are rad. Thank you.
It's really nice hearing writers talking about their work on the series like these. The timeframes they had to work within sound insane.
Keep them coming, definitely the best Star Trek video/podcast on air, can’t wait for episode 2 of this interview with Brannon he is just so good to listen to, but please Dominic let the guest finish the question otherwise a great show and great interviews. Ed from South Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks guys, for having Mr. Braga on. Watched while seasoning up the ribs for tomorrow! Great episode. Happy Memorial Day weekend to all!
So great to hear Brannons take from a writers POV. It sounds like they wrote a LOT in a small amount of time. I hope the Star Trek writers didnt suffer too much burnout. Great episode! Catch you next week!
Wow. These guys are really nailing it with the guests and stories. Good show.
Why aren't there more subscribers and views? Where else can you see/hear recent, intimate, two-part interviews with Brannon Braga and Rick Berman in the course of a month? I guess I'm preaching to the choir here... Spread the word! 🖖
We are struggling to get the word out on our budget. But we will have them both back, for sure! Thank you for the compliment and support!
Thank you! Best Star Trek podcast .
I agree for sure! You don't get this quality of content about any other cherished series. humbled awareness.
Thank you for the continued deep dives into background process and craft.
This keeps getting better. Well done to everyone involved.
Loved hearing Brannon’s insights and reminiscences, and his connection to science too! 🖖
I've really loved getting to see the inside baseball behind producing Star Trek, this has been a fascinating series so far, you guys are awesome!
It seems like The Peripheral on Prime Video is the temporal time war that was started on your show any comment?
Heavy hitters these past few episodes, love it!
Loved this episode and looking forward to more. Enterprise was such a gem...
Great episode, looking forward to part 2
This is GREAT stuff! Brannon and Berman were their bosses.
Great Podcast, been binge watching you guys
Thank you
It's good to see and hear from Brannon Braga though it still feels like he's hurting from the way things went down with Enterprise. He caught a lot of flack and criticism for the show when it came out back in the day, a lot of it undeserved but it hurt all the same. I hope Enterprise's recent resurgence helps him enjoy the legacy more. It really wasn't a failed show and definitely not a franchise killer.
No, the honor of series killer went to Les the pervert Moonves.
Yet another great great episode
In retrospect, I often feel bad about the amount of fan outrage that might have been directed at Brannon. He's responsible for some really great Star Trek stuff. With that volume of content, anyone would have a few bad scripts.
I agree. I have to be way more mindful and supportive for the good.
Loved this episode also. Keep up the good work.🖖
It was really interesting to take a closer look at the job of a writer.
“You’re going to make a space show without being in space?!” Star Trek: Picard season two has entered the chat.
Great episode y'all!
You are awesome. Thank you!
Loving your show. One wish: let the guests talk with less interruption pleeeease :-)
Yes please, for the love of god, let you guests talk and stop interrupting them. This seems to have become a habit now and is getting more frustrating with each passing week .I don't know if Keating even realizes how bad it is, he needs to start watching these performances back.
Another damn good episode....
guys, a suggestion, Don't Edit The Epidodes!
do it like Rogan and run the whole thing, you guys are so awesome and fun, so keep it all!
DAMN IT I WISH I KNEW ABOUT THIS i woulda asked questions
Connor -
I didn't watch it the first time cause I was 11 and enterprise was the first star trek I saw !! Be nice to us new comers.
Doms response about taking money was gold 🤣🖖❤
He’s really gotta stop interrupting the guests. Like in every show the guest would have more to say to be cut off for mostly filler or a totally different subject. Let them finish speaking please.
It's like wrangling cats, as they say.
I love the new set
Its great that he was able to read Manny's pilot for "odyssey 5" show, that got him on Trek. That was also a pretty neat show, but didn't make it very long.
Odyssey 5's arc, which sadly was never completed because the show was axed, is totally relevant today, with 3D "bio-printing" and AI technologies really getting going. It was a series ahead of its time.
@The Shuttlepod Show I'm just now catching these podcasts. They're fantastic and I'm not too "into" podcasts, in general. I've heard you all mention, a few times, about how the fans discovered your show "Enterprise."
Now, I've been a fan of Star Trek since TOS so that will give you a feel for my age.
Thank you!
Really hoping you guys can get Manny Coto on, since he's been talked about a few times. Would love to hear his thoughts on a hypothetical Season 5!
yes please i 'm so curious
Orville is the pallet cleanser for accidentally watching reboot trek
Thanks for the episode! I just wish Dominic would sometimes let the guest answer with more than one word before asking the second and third question. He interrupts the guest all the time with his commenting and questioning and not listening the answers.
Maybe a triple tranquilizer with a quart of single malt before the show would calm him? :)
Dominic is interesting enough so he doesn't need to try to upstage anyone. 👌
WHY WAS ENTERPR9SE CANCELED and can they BRING IT BACK?? Has that ever been DISCUSSED on this channel in an episode?? Thanks for sharing...
so nobody wanted the prequel but now we are watching snw that is a prequel and it's cool , what a pity enterprise couldn't benefit of the streaming , it would have lasted seven season for sure
Les Moonves was the architect of the demise of Enterprise because of streaming.
