"What's the common denominator - we all eating hotdogs brother". Solid words. Common (we are the same) . .eating (breaking bread with someone is spiritual and respectful) . . and calling you brother (we are family - love/care). One sentence speaking from the heart - hell yeah.
Love how you broke that down. His words do have a deeper meaning
Okay yall reaching now lmfaooo bro was just making hotdogs
Right he's not Ghandi @@StzaCrizzack
I visit north NJ about once a year and have made a note to visit this place if possible. Love the 'tude!
Happy when i see a business working for many years.
Here is a guy who's made a big deal about his craft. Getting it right over what sounds like generations of proud family business. He is proud and good on ya. He has passion. Thanks mate. Live a bit far away or I'd drop in for a culpa, but we deep fry Mars bars for a quick heart attack. Yummy!😊
Man this like the third video I’ve seen of you at some legit spot. Bourdain would be proud brother. Keep shining light on the gems in the rough my man.
There is definitely some passion going on there. ❤
The owner is actually awesome !
For people who don't know and want to try something similar to this just tell your local cook to drop your polish or hotdogs in grease for a little bit and it will blow your mind how much better it tastes with that crunch. They do it in chicago.
Local cook? Why not do it at home? Are you homeless? 🤣
Are their angry black women who cuss me out?
@@morrismonet3554 well most people don't have a deep fryer at home. If your ordering a polish or hotdog at a restaurant believe it or not it doesn't even cross people's minds that they could put it in the deep fryer. Nice try trying to be a comedian though.
Deep fried Dogs or Polish sausages are outstanding.
@@morrismonet3554right, this dude acts like you gotta be a Michelin star chef to deep fry a hot dog 😂
Pops is from Passaic-he took me here years ago. They definitely make a killer one of a kind hotdog
My family lives in morris county but my dad grew up in Patterson in Passaic County so he makes these sometimes and they’re fricking delicious
Best damn place for a hot dog. This man is always there and he is the real deal. Thank you Bill for these amazing dogs. Drop in and grab a dog and become a fan .
Gotta love an owner that loves his place and loves what he does
I haven’t even had one and I can tell these are official. I’m a lonnngggg standing customer of Detroit’s famous Lafayette Coney Island and I can see these have the “snap” and “pop” factor. I love that ish!!!
Detroit has some of the best Coney Dogs in the country. I'ma DULYS fan myself ✌🏽
Living in Detroit was where I found natural casing dogs. Coney's were my HEAVEN. That "snap" is incomparable!!!
Detroit dogs are trash. 🤮
They look amazing!
While I love Rutts, I'm a Johnny & Hanges person myself. Northern NJ is full of fantastic hot dog places. Hot Grill in Clifton, Hot Dog House on Rt17 plus many, many more
Hirams and Goffle grill too
Jolly nicks in Dumont
@@CainnechK I grew up in Hawthorne, so Goffle Grill was a staple.
I am not from NJ, nor am I from the good ol’ USA but I appreciate this info. Hot dogs are universal 🇨🇦 let’s go Brandon
@@steven00786I mean hey yall gave us poutine so im not mad at it🤷🏿♂️any major spots our northern neighbors got that I should know about?
My grandma lived in Bloomfield for 30 years of my life and I never went. Didn’t even know about it. Sad.
Now is the time to try it😌
OMG the song is bringing me back to when I was a child. My Dad 😊used to play this song on a record player. Thank you! 😊❤
Hot dogs, the great societal unifier
NJ born and raised, dude's accent made me homesick
where were u bread?
having been living around the new england area i agree with you. His voice just got that character to it that makes you feel like you're pulled over on the side of the road talking to an old friend
Cassady Campbell does a John from Jersey character he'll make you feel homesick
I love Bill's passion for his work.
I preordered mines at macys days ago and pickin up mines tomorrow when its released in stores WORLDWIDE WIT TAXES I PAID OVER 200 aswell DAMN! But ilike the smell so ima add it to my dior sauvage COLLECTION!
That’s how own a place.. Owners energy and confidence is amazing
I'm adding this one, Rutt's Hut, to my list of must-go-to eating establishments when I head out to the east coast.
Absolutely worth it.
While you're in that town you'll also be less than 10 mins from
A+ pizza
A+ indian food
A+ Latin food (Dominican, Puerto Rican, Peruvian, cuban)
A+ italian
A+ sandwiches
A+ bagels
The food in NJ Is unbelievable, and Clifton is a really f'in good representation of that. Huge city with a melting pot of culture
That confidence and swagger Jersey baby!!
He looks like he's related to John Stewart
@@Tortilla.Reform you don't need to be white to gain that Jersey swagger. Look at all the successful Middle Easterners and South Asians in the state, visit Main St. Paterson, Oak Tree Rd. Edison, etc. Jersey is the best state for all kinds of food, especially ethnic varieties.
👈 Lodi, NJ
@@Tortilla.Reform ah yes always the victim😢
He’d give me a line the exact same wya
That owner seems chill as fuck
Used to work around the corner from there & occasionally would stop in for lunch. They did have some great dogs. Always loved sitting in the back 'dining' area because the decor is like stepping back in time.
I love Rutts Hut "Bergen is too esteemed for us" That man's an OG.
The genius of deep frying an already fully cooked hot dog.
??? They are sausages as seen in the video not pre cooked dogs
@@OBWanKenobi they are clearly hot dogs
@@arcticredpanda4598 look at the raw sausages at the begining of the clip. They are hot dogs but not frankfurters
@@OBWanKenobi hot dog
@@arcticredpanda4598 he said deep frying a fully cooked hot dog, you can clearly see that they are raw sausage in the video
Got introduced to you by Righteous Eats, your channel is exactly what I love about food journalism. Stories, legacy and good food. Keep doing your thing boss !!
Thanks so much!
This and pizza town are a couple staples. Jersey truly has some of the best food hands down
Please Tell me some of the places. Thanks 🙏🏾 in advance!
Much better than NY for food.
And outside of Jersey ❤we have Melbourne 😅
Pizza town on 46… MANY nights leaving joeys getting pizza heading home .. amazing
I love the owners energy .. he don’t tip toe around his sentences and he’s got heart that shows .. wish we had more people like this in Southern California, and that’s all I’ll say about that ..
You should have more likes. Born and raised in OC but live in vegas... wish we had more ppl like that in vegas. Ps. Id make the trek just to have those dogs.
@@joe-zj8jswish there was more people like that in Minnesota!
Nathan's isn't what it used to be, but Walter's in Mamaroneck is legit. I'll have to see how this compares if they've been around just as long as the NY shops.
Love these old school family owned places.
I miss NJ. Met so many great people out there and had great food all the time 🤙🏼
We have tons of both. Great people and delicious food
NY and NJ, actually the whole tri-state area, have great people.
Still here ripping it . Cheers brother 🍻
I love this place. I’m not always big on hot dogs but when I’m craving one I go there. The prices are always really great too.
I'd be the guy standing in line counting his change and realizing he doesn't have enough for one hot dog 😔
W owner, dudes makes me happy with every sentence
"Bergen is too esteemed for us"
Lol what
Bergen county is one of the richest counties in the country
Go look at house listing right now in Bergen County tell me if you find something below 400k
I think that people don't know that Jersey is one of the richest areas in the country. We get bad rep but maybe it's to keep the riff raff out
Yea, just look at Fort Lee in Bergen. The property tax on some of those houses are 80k alone 😢😢
Bergen County is for the super wealthy elite people. New Jersey has some of those counties. Passaic County is a little shady.
