“Girl, You’ll Be A Woman Soon” is a song written by American musician, Neil Diamond, whose recording reached #10 on the US Pop Singles chart. The song enjoyed a second life when it appeared on the 1994 Pulp Fiction movie soundtrack.
Billboard described the single as a ”sure fire chart topper” that has an “easy rhythm” with a soulful reading of a compelling lyric.
Diamond wrote this one for the ladies when he first recorded the slow, seductively sensitive song in 1967. The movie soundtrack in Pulp Fiction sold over 3 million copies. It put Diamond back on the cultural radar.
It remained a memorable sound that came out of the movie and now Amazon Prime has picked up the documentary/concert of this incredible show filmed in front of 10,000 people.
