How did a *GAME BOY GAME* bother to re-create the original intro meanwhile none of the console games did? Hell, the entire atmosphere is completely nailed down right down to the music.
Konami magic, back when they were still on top of the world as a company... that's around the time of Silent Hill 1 and 2 as well... such a shame they haven't made anything I personally cared for since at least 2010 or so.
This was the game i loved the most among other gameboy games. This was my favourite game of them all. Being a Batman lover since i was 6 years old i loved this game so much.
I always wondered where the whole jumping from wall to wall ever came from. I don't remember ever seeing Batman do that in the films except for in most of the 2D games.
I’ve never played this game before, but it looks like a great, fun, difficult game. The sprites for Mr. Freeze and Scarecrow especially are quite surprising with how accurate they look. Riddler’s battle looks pretty fun too.

I played this during roadtrips at around 8 yrs old. I must have played over a hundred times but only beat Mr Freeze once haha. This was a fun and very hard little game! Thanks for this video! Brought back some great memories :)
@@Gameboy-Unboxings Konami made at least 4 console Batman games, Batman Returns NES, Batman Returns SNES, this Game Boy game, and Adventures of Batman and Robin for SNES (the priciest of the Konami Batman games). El primer juego de Batman que eh probado, nunca pude recordar su nombre. Mi cerebro apenas escucha la intro supó de inmediato que este era el juego. Gracias de todo corazón.
Mr Freeze ice beam thing was a pain in my ass back then, i took me almost a month to finally wacked him. Also the atmosphere and gameplay in this game was great.
Amazing one. Solid gameplay and creative level design, more that you could request for a GB game. Of course from the hand of Konami. A shame the game is expensive as hell on CIB state.
Not bad, Danny Elfman's Batman theme sounds pretty good here for the fairly crude Game Boy sound system and the theme has also been arranged more rhythmic for stage background music. The graphics and gameplay seem alright, pretty tough looking game, I like how you switch from Batman to Robin and back, you couldn't even do that in the SNES Batman & Robin game, I guess the second game based on the Batman: Animated cartoon. I think the story/dialogue is much better here also, not great, but I like the stage 4 title "Bank Robbing's a Gas!" :D (♫"I'm Jumping Bank Robber it's a gas gas gas!"♫)
I had this game as a kid, on one of those hacked 128 games in one cartridge, and assumed it was just a fake broken game or something. Reason being: with no manual i didn't know you could drop through the floor! So I've got vivid memories of jumping up and down the shaft at 3:11, but never getting passed the room after it at 3:19. Wish I'd known back then and realised I was actually in ownership of a decent game!

That intro gave me goosebumps holy shit this was the best game I ever had on my Gameboy back in those days.
Definitely agree
Still kicks ass
Wow. Batmans orchestrated theme sounds amazing even in 8 bit. Congrats for the original composer
Couldn't agree more!
It totally brings chills when you hear it 😎
👏🏻😂

Gotta give Konami respect for that. Like Capcom, at least they know how to adapt games based on movies and shows very well.
Back when Konami and Capcom were the top dogs in the industry. How times have changed.
@@Optidorf Well, one of them still is.
...Outside of fighting games, that is.
I played this game on my Gameboy over and over. I really loved this game. 90's was so good. I'm 39 now. I was a kid then a teenager in 90's.
Being in black and white actually suits the game given the shows Noir style.
It’s probably best played with a SNES super game boy. 4 colours on big screen with pad
I've watched it from start to finish without getting bored. The game is as good as i remember it was.
Oh my, this game's oozing with atmosphere. Another well made Game Boy title
Nice noire atmosphere and really great music for Game Boy.

I used to have this game, the nostalgia while watching this video was through the roof !
Omg i loved this game back in the day, oh 90s how i miss you.
This was amazing and I would spend HOURS playing. The design and style along with the music is nostalgic
This game was so fun! Our family owned an original gameboy and I would stay up all night playing this game under the covers
One of the most atmospheric games ever thanks to how faithful it is to recreating feeling like you're in one of the most atmospheric shows ever made.
One of the most underappreciated batman games
This was the best Batman game on gameboy
Used to play this on my Gameboy color. Had a cart with 32 game's on it i think. It's been over 20 year's omg

Some of the best sprite work in the original Gameboy library.
I never knew they had an NES game, but the animated series, it was fun to watch,

Lol same here man
If you know the patterns they are all easy but without RUclips back at the days it was hell these bosses!
Does anyone else see all those people giving the criminals their middle finger at (0:57)?

Awesome Longplay
i used to play this all the time when i was a kid
Me too! I thought I was the only one. I love the catwoman stage because of the music, how about you?

This honestly looks like a pretty decent game. Given the track record of superhero games, I honestly wasn't expecting that.
It plays great too, doesn't just look the part.
Batman games are probably the best quality of all the other superhero console games
Just got this from Ebay today. This is the definitive Batman game on the gb. Easily.
