I love seeing Mwalimu again! I met him at UU church in Boston in 1971 when my mom died. He then married my stepmother to my father 6 months later.( Crazy of them to do that. ) I was 14. My sister 15 and steps even younger!
He was a gentle person and I trusted the experience of that wedding maybe because he was there.
Thanks for the interview and your work, Mwalimu. My mother's death in '71 has taken a toll on me, my life. Yet, here I am today in actual cognizant acceptance, perhaps for the first real time. It is 2023. My mother's suicide is/was her choice, and terribly unfortunate. But, she had a life too and I was part of it and she, a part of mine.

Alosua, so glad you saw this. I have been trying to reach someone in your family, to talk with them about your Dad for a column I do. Would it be possible for us to talk sometime? Unfortunately, I don't have anymore content with him. I've always appreciated his insights and career. Bill Turpie
