    Excellent video as Always Byron. I always love the fact you include mistakes into your cuts too many other channels cut all errors so the average painter feels when they make a mistake they are rubbish. It is good to know even the greats get things wrong!
    Keep up the great work Byron, cannot wait for the next lockdown army video, or indeed any other video.
    As a suggestion for future videos how about tackling more on the sculpting with greenstuff / milliput. I know you have used it in the lockdown army models, but more detail on best ways of achieving texture etc would be great.
    Keep up the great content and stay safe dude!

    that is far and away the clearest and simplest explanation of colour theory that I have ever seen, many thanks! I actually feel like I understand this now! Unfortunately I do have a small nagging thought that I should probably go back and paint some of my more important models properly because absolutely zero proper colour theory was used the first time around, I just made it up as I went and messed about with stuff until I found a scheme that I liked!

    • @ArtisOpus
      @ArtisOpus  3 года назад

      We wouldn't be surprised if the schemes that you ended up lining actually fitted quite well with colour theory. When stuff works there's often good reason behind it. It's always hard to pick between fixing and tweaking old stuff. There's generally more to learn from painting new stuff in my opinion😊Thanks so much for your ongoing support!

    From every guide ive watched so far i have to say your insights into why colours behave the way they do with each other is incredible and im sure hard won after years of experience. If you havent done a guide to citadel contrast paints yet (the best ways to use each how they cover etc) i for one would find it invaluable, though perhaps after working through your backlog you will have mentioned each one in passing anyway heh.
    Great work ty for your tutorials - none of this existed when i started out and i quit painting several times because of failed attempts. These vids genuinely teach me more in ten mins than i learned in years.

    Really cool video, always fun when you delve into colour theory. I actually went and bought that very colour wheel after watching your live stream of doing the necron flyer way back before you had all these wonderful production quality videos because that scheme was so beautiful. Bet the scheme from this flesh hound will look amazing across an army, and especially on the big boy models too!

      @@ArtisOpus Thank you guys for the content. This is useful, but not in this video. I made a lot of cool thumbnails from your videos. But this video didn't teach me anything because of its speed. And I would like to get experience from you, you're cool. That's why I'm asking you to make the video a little longer. Thanks))

    please tell me this uses proper subtractive (pigments) CMY color theory, and not additive (emissive light) RGB, or the broke arse (doesn't exist anywhere except "fine arts") RYB.

      You've lost me😅😅If you can make your question more clear that'd be helpful 😊

      Haha, they're different color models. RYB (red, yellow, blue) is used in fine arts a lot, but results in drab, desaturated colors. RGB (red, green, blue) is additive color and is how light waves work. It's used for emissive light like computer screens. CMY (cyan, magenta, yellow) is subtractive color and is how pigments and other reflected light works.
