- Hey guys! I know this is not my normal criteria but while my car is down I figured this would be a good time to fix my friends car that I am responsible for breaking. There is just too much to do on this car so I just filmed the main parts of the process. I knew we had some damage but I guess I didn't realize just how bad it was until I took it apart. Come along on this journey with me and let's get this S4 running and driving better than ever!

What is up RUclipss? Just wanted to post this documentation of my friends car. Follow me on this journey as we attempt to resurrect this car back to life and return it to the owner better than ever!
Failures are part of life and certainly part of having a project car. Sometimes they appear when you least expect it, but it is up to you to learn from them and keep moving forward!
Since the exhaust on this car is crap, I plan to cut it off and make a homemade exhaust that will sound better and last much longer so stay tuned for the next video! Thanks for Watching!
That shot of cylinder 5 was brutal! Good on you for stepping up to fix the car for him though and cleaning/fixing stuff that had nothing to do with the engine. You lose some time and money, but you keep a friend. But man, of all cars... an unplanned motor swap on a _B5 S4,_ what a kick in the balls!

Any work done on heads or bottom end on s4? Considering rs6 turbos on mine but I am more and more inclined to building the motor, minimum rods and bearings etc
@@TC-db5fm As long as you can afford it, it's always a good idea to build the bottom end at least. You gain peace of mind, a big safety margin, and a look at the state of the engine you otherwise wouldn't get. If you're already pulling the motor to do turbos, it just makes sense.

massive amount of work done in this vid man, great stuff! b5s are so much more fun to work on vs the C4s ;) my bro has rs6 turbos on his b5 too, it moves nicely.
Thanks, I haven't done one of these in awhile so this was definitely a lot of work and certainly tested my patience. But after it was all over I feel very rewarded for all that effort. Can't wait to see his reaction when I return it!

What is it with 2.7bit's and 1.8t's dropping valves? :D Ive seen that happen sooooo much here, both on stock and built engines.
What year rs6 turbos should I be looking for? There is a pair of s6 turbos for 500 near me and rs7 turbos for 750 I am swapping a 2.7t into my car

I did the same build up wit SRM and SBC stage 3 I should have gotten this clutch the Mikehood
I was extremely impressed with this clutch. It had some chatter at first but after initial break in it didn't chatter at all. For how much torque it can handle it definitely is daily driver friendly. I would love to put this clutch in my race car, my 4 puck can handle the power but the drivability is shit... thanks for watching!

Sorry friend, I'm at least 2500 miles away from there! Ten years ago I drove out to Bend, OR and picked up a 93 UrS4 and I must say that is a beautiful place to live. I'm pretty busy right now getting the race car ready for the season so I really don't have a lot of free time anyway but hopefully soon I can start on my own B5 project and make some vids. Good luck on your journey, sometimes we just need little sparks of motivation to get the ball rolling again so I hope this video can give you that spark ;)
