I made a comment on one of Gerdes' early videos. I mentioned Anna, about one of her early videos. She had said that the air raid sirens sounded, her class had to be dismissed, how the basements at her university weren't large enough for everyone to seek shelter there. All the lights went out in Lutsk. Street lights, traffic lights, store lights. Since there was no room in the basements for all the students and staff many had to walk home. Cars still had headlights but there were no traffic lights to control intersections. Imagine being in a large city. Many intersections with no lights, wide streets with multiple lanes going each direction, and you need to cross the street. Sirens sounding, explosions going off and you need to cross six or seven lanes of traffic at an uncontrolled intersection. Anna said a student of her university was killed. She didn't say it was one of her students. I could have been, it might have been.
I mentioned this incident in the comments of one of Gerdes' videos a long time ago. His reply to me, paraphrased, was that he could relate because is also a professor. As If I couldn't tell by his username which was even longer back then, that he's a professor. How can he relate to Anna's experience? I stayed subscribed to Gerdes because he supports Ukraine but I disabled notifications. I've seen many of his community posts asking his audience what they want to see. Several polls asking what interests people.
I decided to watch this video in spite of Gerdes. I'd give him another chance. I'll continue to watch your videos but I didn't hear anything enlightening from Gerdes. Well it was stated that he's a professor of management. Last I heard it was leadership. I still haven't heard him give any insights that I haven't gained from other sources.
    Slava Ukraini !!

I have to wonder if Biden hesitancy is from his memory of the Soviet Union and the danger it represented. Dan Carlin on one of his podcasts (I think about WWI) pointed out that having witnessed the horrors of WWI the fatal desire for peace makes sense. Similarly Biden grew up while the Soviet Union was a major power and threat. Similar to the WWI survivors blindness, could Biden and the folks saying restraint be similarly blinded by a memory of what the Soviets and Russia were.

      "your boys"
Who is this nebulous group that you ascribe me to belong to whose "boys" are losing in Ukraine? As far as I am aware, I am not part of any group, much less a group that is engaged in Ukraine.
"you feel offended by society that has offered you hope with the false narrative that Ukraine is winning"
This seems highly incongruous. If someone is given hope, even if unbeknownst to them it is a false hope,, why would they be offended?
Are you sure you're not describing how you feel yourself?
"the difference being you believe and I question"
You believed 90% of Zaphhorizhzhia was lost, and I put that claim to question.

The one thing the grass roots support for Ukraine shows is that the people support Ukraine. Since the people support Ukraine the government could easily support Ukraine and not face any backlash. The people would support a greater involvement.
    Parents against Russia
For me it's all about the children. Never forget all of the Russians who abused children and their families in Ukraine. From the mass graves (in Izium) to the stolen children. Now if Ukrainian parents don't become Russian citizens and go to fight against their brothers and cousins Russia will take their newborn children at birth. How many children are now sex slaves? They cannot be allowed to win.
Speaking of Izium. What did those 414 people see? The Russians thought it was better to murder them and bury them all in a mass grave instead of letting them testify. Whatever they saw must have been truly horrific. At minimum I'm guessing rape and torture. With an average of 150 war crimes per day who knows what they did. (That is a very old number they are way north of over 138,000 documents war crimes a month ago).
If Russia wants to sign a treaty they must first prove they will stand by one. If Russia or Putin wants to negotiate, start with your original written agreement. Putin on January 28, 2003 signed the border agreement. He has since signed several other agreements he doesn't honor. Pull back all of their troops back behind their original border and then you can start negotiations. If they don't show they will honor the original agreement how can anyone expect them to honor any further agreements.
It's our war to lose. Russia canNOT win. Unless we choose to not support Ukraine of course. It is on us in the global West to pick the world we want to live in. Choose wisely. Thanks.
Glory to Ukraine. God Bless the children, Ukraine, and her people. God bless the heroes 🇺🇦🇺🇸

    Dear prof,
After the Smith’s filing - please consider to publicly join “the republicans voting for Harris” - your vote may not change anything in your state - but your courage to take such a position may motivate someone in one of the swing states to do the same AND there it could make a HUGE difference!
As a conservative you have a duty to your country to protect it against a 2nd term of Trump
    Good luck with your decision.
