Voting for the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards is now open! Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will host the event live from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, on August 26. This year's event will feature performances from Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Rosalía, and Missy Elliott will receive the Video Vanguard Award.

I remember watching this with my mom and how we were saying this is the best house we've seen of them, the colours the decor, just so clean and fine and crisp, gotta love missy then and now. Love her tribute to Janet Jackson and her Doctorate speech and so many of her other recent speeches, it's all about persevering despite all challenges and obstacles and a whole lot of humility and real and long lasting friendship and loving support from her mom and friends like Janet, Queen Latifa, Da Brat, Timberland, her team and the list goes on.
