      Yeah I though I'd just group them all together in one video since you can't really by any of them in US stores yet. Wish I had gotten some sound examples from the Carlsbro pad but I'm sure I'll play it again some day.

    I'm looking for an electronic drumkit whose acoustic sounds are good enough to not mess with vst drumkits. That's largely bcos I'm lazy, and it would save me a little time or something. I got no complaints about my Addictive Drums per se, lol. I've only just now learned of this dev, and this is available on the Chinese sites for 5-600ish bucks. Thx for the demo.

    There are laser triggers, although difficult to find, they trigger almost flawless compared to piezos. However dynamics are an issue. The kick drum issue on the first kit could be fixed easily if they used them in conjunction with each other. Piezos track dynamics and laser picks up actual hits. If the piezo tracks a hit the laser doesn’t or alternatively misses, then it adjusts. The concept wouldn’t be that dissimilar to software I have that cancels hits if they overlap other drums.

    I just got the nPad on Friday. It's a weird little unit. Also I'm convinced that all the different versions of this pad made by HXW are using either licensed or stolen samples from Toontrack. Gonna make a review video soon.

  • @Prisha-so6rm
    @Prisha-so6rm 4 года назад +1

    I think the gewa drum kits are pretty great even with the imperfect triggering and the high price. The bass drum speaker thing is also quite interesting although I’m not a fan of the SPD-SX copy. Also, i thinks you should use 24 or 26 inch bass drums and 13, 14 toms. 18-22 inch bass drums look absolutely tiny with you playing!

    • @FubukiCards
      @FubukiCards 4 года назад

      @@TDre554 The main downside he named was that the floortom was 10 inch, but he admitted himself that that was a mistake: it's 12 inches. Other than that he also named that the TD-17 sounds weren't amazing, but I'll be using Superior Drummer 3, so that's no problem for me. And lastly I only have limited space in my room, so the VAD-306 is the best I can get for how small it is :)

    DbDrums pads are really low quality, but the prices are good here in Argentina. I've been using their mesh kick pad to replace my kd9 for almost 5 years now, and it's still working well. But the cymbals are pretty awful, they stop working 1 year ago, after 4 years of usage.

    Carbon Fiber is an odd material for drums. Usually it's used for automotive, specifically because it's lighter than fiberglass, or sheetmetal, which is what cars are usually made of.

    • @65Drums
      @65Drums  4 года назад +1

      It's just for the looks. I don't think it's actual carbon fiber, probably just a wrap

    • @pinheadlarry1019
      @pinheadlarry1019 4 года назад

      @@65Drums Yeah you're probably right, if it was real carbon fiber, it'd probably cost at least $600 some dollars extra per pad. I base that because that's how much after market carbon fiber car parts if similar size costs. And if you get it as an option on a car that offers it, it's about double that because they always charge more

    Hey Justin: just a question but is it possible to "frankenstein" a 3 piece electronic drum kit? (Kick, snare, hat). If it is, can you do a video how to do it. My room isnt big enough for a full ekit nor can I get a real 3-piece kit cos of the noise. Thanks!

    • @GoulartGH
