Hi Thomas, I have just installed a K&k mini and I am playing it directly into a Bose s1 pro amp. The sound I am getting is not what I was hoping for, I am an absolute novice to this. The sound I was hoping for was a warm electric twangy tone. The sound I am getting is clean and okish I can tone the bass down on the Bose s1 pro. You mentioned an equaliser, would this give me that tone I’m looking for and can you recommend a product that is reasonably priced if that is what I am missing. I just play at home and would not want anything too technical, just simple the does the job. Thank you

Jetzt zur Frage/: bekommt man die Harmonie auch mit dem TC Helicon Harmony/Singers 2 hin. Ich frage dich, weil du der absolute Fachmann bist. Ich würde mich auf deine Antwort freuen. (Vielleicht gibt es ja noch was anderes, (nicht kompliziertes Gerät).. LG.
If the transducers are installed away from the bridge, would a more natural sound be obtained? moving them away from the strings and placing them on the harmonic top would improve the tone?
@@ThomasSchuber are you secure.. Because there are somo videos when the k&k sounds better that others (all without preamps) and I thinks it is for bad installation o maybe for different types of bridgeplates where someone's permit to k&k be located more or less away from strings.. Just a curious
Sounds like a bad idea. Sticking the transducers to the top would greatly enhance feedback and unwanted body sounds, and would definitely kill the tone. Best place for the K&K is beneath the saddle where the strings are under pressure. That's where you get the most volume, definition and high end.
This pickup can work pretty good it seems once it is helped out a bit. It always appears to be a rather Flat sound but seems to respond well with some eq. Thats why I'm surprised no one has put out a video demonstrating judicious use of parametric eq to rid the sound of unhelpful frequencies and boost those that enhance. But nice video, Thank you
Danke für deinen wieder sehr informativen Test. Der Pickup ist als Ergänzung oder Plan B sehr interessant. Ich experimentiere auch mit Impulse Response (IR's) für akustische Gitarre. Ich hab mir selbst welche gebaut, und das Ergebnis ist gar nicht so schlecht. Du sagst, es gäbe außer 3SigmaAudio noch eine Menge anderer Quellen. Die habe ich allerdings bei meinen Aktivitäten noch nicht entdeckt. Hast du Tipps?

I have a Rainsong Carbon fiber and a CA Baritone carbon fiber gutter. I wouldn’t use the under saddle pickup. Hated the sound. I played another guitar with a K&K and thought I’d try it in my Rainsong. I’d already pulled out the pickup and pre amp because it had a buzz(not electrical) so I tried the K&K and I could plug it in and not cringe. So I put one in the baritone and one in my 64 Gibson. Yes I do have to tone down the bass end especially in the Baritone. I live in Alaska. Carbon fiber is perfect for here.
