This channel is literally helping me get through my depression. I can't thank you enough. I keep watching a video every day and I am learning a lot about myself and what I can do to be the better version of myself thanks to you and your guests. This is not a channel of motivation or theories, it is not selling us words. It is some real and raw talk that can save so many people. Really..I can't thank you enough.

She hit it spot on with using pain as a motivator. Pain is what enabled me to transform my life. The key was to dwell on it long enough (and not numb it with TV, partying, etc) until making a change becomes less painful than staying the same.

Lori gets me spot on! I have suffered from debilitating fear and felt no one really understood how I felt going into social situations or the extent of my anxiety. Facing your fears is something I heard one had to do, but even harder to actually do it. I appreciate her straight forward truth.

Girl yes! I had to do the same, I was on three medications at once and I got myself weened off last year with the help of my doctor. I faced the fear of my emotions and it has brought such beauty. Avoidance fuels anxiety, so when something makes me anxious, I just do it! The first time is like jumping off a cliff but you eventually make a habit of it! ❤️❤️

Thanks for sharing this. Until now and these days I am still pretty closed or keep my space to friends. I got hurt when I was in second grade.
Me and husband were still fighting until last year. I would tell him to get the fuck out of my house and my life, he just sat there, I used to get so pissed and just drive off. We were doing that for a while. Thank god he stocked with me. I am very grateful that he is not the type will just say screw this, I am gone. Then I started work on myself. That’s when I realize I have issues. I am still working on myself and will keep ongoing. Instead of looking to change other, changing how we view and deal with things can benefit ourselves more then always trying to fight, or walk out and pretend nothing ever happened.
I can relate to everything u guys talked about. 🙂

Crowding your life with good things [21:00]
■When there are ppl in the tribe you love, but they try to keep you, it becomes harder for ppl to leave, how do you suggest ppl to make that choice make, the heart is connected to, but theyre no longer connected to?
→I've done this a lot. Things I always tell ppl is start crowding out your life with really good things. You can invite them along. For example you wanna be more healthier, or lose weight, its never that you wanna say you cant have anything anymore, but what you wanna do is to fill your plate with so much good stuff, so theres no much any room for crap anymore. I look it life like that, is to put so many good stuff in your world, and with the next level stuff, events, connection with ppl, network things, classes, podcast, books, so you don’t have much room anymore for the other things. If they say: you don’t have time or room for us anymore, you say: come with me! There's always room for you if you come with me, but this is where I have to go, if I don’t do this for myself, I know im gonna be so unhappy. I would love your support to this area. That’s a real conversation too, we forget to have this conversations, crystal clear conversations. And its not only once, its gonna be many times. I have this bigger vision, you just have to keep saying it.
    Communication is freedom [24:06]
→Clear communications is for all the time. I think if you are growing, if you have a good relationship with anyone, then you are in it always. Coz I don’t wana live a life with resentment, coz I've lived a life like that beforehand. Feeling like you are in a straight jacket and feeling resentful, is gonna manifest in some really ugly way later. If you don’t start communication. The first conversation is gonna be awful, its gonna get less awful each time. At the same time, just go straight to that conversation , to that X, to that fear, and its gonna be freedom.
    Picking your battles [25:02]
■When ppl just cant hear you or being crazy, what do you do?
→there have been some ppl that I had to say no more. I have the analogy that if the bus is not going to stop, get out of its way. Stop stepping in front of it. For years I've been keep stepping in front of it and like when do you keep running me over? Stay out of its way. There always gonna be someone like that in our life, no matter what you say or do, they don’t like you, and think you are crazy. Every time I go back and apologize and say I found myself even didn’t know what I was apologizing anymore. So I learned to completely cut that out of my life, and make peace with it. It now becomes your journey to let go and forgive them, and love them from far. I have to love this person somehow, but the only way for me to do it is to cut them out, and to start asking for being able to forgive and love them from far.
Giving love to feel love [27:55]
■What do you think its so important to love someone you may not like?
→its not for them, its for you. we may hate someone, we are feeling the hate, they are not feeling it, they don’t even know it. So its for you, if you love them, you feel love. If you feel hate, you feel hate. And we also know the feeling of dislike someone or hate someone, is also linked to creating a chemical cocktail in your body which is harmful. So when we wonder why we have health issues, we feel tired, we have no energy. Your thoughts are consuming that thought of that person, or taking something personal, or wishing you could go back and change something, we cant. We only have power of how we feel right now.
■How do you separate someone coming to you for criticism, and you can be like oh that’s true and I can used that to better myself, or to separate it and say wow no, this is just them, how do you make that distinction?
→there are couple of things. 1, when someone is giving you feedback, criticism but in a loving way, you'll feel that. coz they say things like: [hey you are amazing, I value this about you, I just wanna give you some feedback around this, because I really either can see your highest potential or I see how it could help you, maybe you are seeing it. Is it ok if I share it with you?] so they delivery. If you didn’t like the delivery, you can say:[can I get a little more detail on the feedback, just because I wanna make sure that I can move forward feeling empowered, and right now I don’t feel complete or I don’t feel closure around this. I would love to be able to let you know how I was feeling at the time, or whatever this looks like], just asked to go deeper with that person, and get a little bit of closure.
Lori’s kidnapping and how she processed it [30:14]
■When you were kidnapped, it took a while for you to speak about it, I wanna tie it in with identity, first of all, how did you not just inevitably slip into the pattern of that’s your identity, I am someone who was kidnapped and beaten. And what was the process in coming out and speaking out about it eventually?
→rule no.1, don’t go to someone who doesn’t process anything in their life to process something. Because my friend told me: I don’t wanna talk about it, I makes me feel bad, you should never talk about it and it will go away. We were both alcoholics at the time. I really believed the more hard I became, ill just not feel it anymore. So my new identity was I'm hardened, I'm detached, and I'm not gonna feel it again. Of course it didn’t work out well for me, coz I never connect with ppl again after that for a while.
Learning to face your problems head-on [33:13]
■How did you recognize that was extremely detrimental to your future and how did you get out of it?
→my husband had to process everything and he said to me, if you leave don’t come back, coz I will not put out with them. so if I flea, I will flea the bedroom. So I started to listen.
    Try out being vulnerable [35:10]
■How do you advise other ppl if they don’t have someone to push them into being open? What actual things they put into place to start to soften up?
→ 1, relationships are hard, they are not supposed to be easy, it’s not a fairy tale, even best friends fight. Even the most beautiful marriage you see, they still fight. But in time you'll learn how to do it. At first you have to start trying on what if feels like to be vulnerable with someone, to stay in the room during the fright, to cry in front of someone, to be like this is me, I'm messy I'm raw, I'm ugly, this is the part I don’t want you to see. Are we in this for a long run? Even if we are in a fight, do we actually both want peace at the end of the day? Is that what we actually both want? what do you actually want? what’s the final thing? Then you'll start saying, my action is not matching up with peace right now. This is how someone would act if if you want someone out of your life. You are not looking for resolve, you are looking for a fight right now. So I always think about that. I am choosing suffering right now. If I am running, im choosing to stay in this longer. So now I think life is too short, id rather be happy, and at the end of the day if I have to be with this person anyway, why I am postponing the apology, or the acceptance, or the conversation .
Figuring out what your mission is [37:07]
■You said you wanna be your higher self. How do you be your higher self and know when enough is enough? Because you are so driven, your identity is evolving. Do you ever say I am at my highest self, period, and now is enough is enough? If not, how do you still have peace within your self of who you are right now?
→I wont be my higher self until I die. I think to be a human is to crave growth, no matter what that looks like, whether it’s a better relationship with yourself, or a partner or your kid or whatever doing. I think its endless evolve. I do think its important to celebrate the evolution, there’ll be a point you probably not pushing this hard, but I am pushing in different areas. Maybe its kids or garden or learning how to relax.. thats growth. To ignore growth is to feel pain, because humans we are meant we start to feel pan when we are in growth mode. I do think rest is important to build in, its vital. When you start to feel exhausted, or tired or empty, you may not be celebrating enough, you may not be doing what you love if you feel exhausted or empty.

    Attacking your fears [1:59]
■How those fear penetrated you and how you didn’t allow it to paralyze you?
→Fear used to be something you avoid. Using medication makes ppl numb, and blocked. Did the scariest thing and every time did it, it felt horrible in it, but it felt a little bit better.
Bringing in the pain of the future [6:20]
■How didn’t you choose the path of staying inside the comfort zone like a lot of people do?
→fast forward to the future, bring the pain in one year if you didn’t do this, in 5 years if you didn’t do this. i always go to my deathbed, say how am I gonna feel if all these gift and potentials that I get visons of are not reached on my death bed. I go all the way down to whatever you believe religious or energy, whatever your end day look like, are you gonna say: you know I just really feel you didn’t give me everything I needed for this life. But we know ts not the truth. So bring the pain into the present moment. But you also need to bring in the reward to the present moment if you face that fear. Example, speak in front of ppl in an event, I couldn’t think about how bad it could be if I fail. I had to think about how fun its going to be, how excited I would gonna be when I got done, what I would open up if I did this. my whole life I wanna to preform. And I also need to think, if I don’t do this, how would I feel? What if I never got the opportunity to do this again, that feels terrible and awful.
Fear is the X that marks the spot [8:28]
→Because I know, Fear is the X that marks the spot to a treasure beyond anything you can possibly have. Its everything. I go to all of my fear places, we all know where it is, we just avoid it. If you want to accelerate your life and have a a life beyond your wildest dreams, its al of those things, you have to go to your fear places. It doesn’t matter the rejection, rejection is part of it. Rejections is powerful and beautiful and really fast feedback. Rejection to me is they cant see me yet. They cant see whats in here yet, that’s ok, I can see it. You have to keep saying that to yourself over and over, and also you have to say that’s ok, this is new for me, itll get better. You have to allow yourself to be a beginner. Like no its not gonna be polish, its not gonna be awesome, and youre not doing it to the mentors who are up, but doing it to the people listen to you thinking wow shes just a couple of steps ahead of me. Im not gonna do it to be perfect, im not gonna compare myself to that, I want those to inspire me, but im not gonna make me stuck, I am gonna do it my version.
    Failing is still progress [10:55]
■Sometimes ppl don’t realize it is actually the fear that’s driving them. so they’ll use excuse and even sometimes the excuses are valid. What's your advice to that situation if you could use all the excuses in the world that other ppl didn’t understand, but truth is if you really dig deep, it’s the fear.
→no matter what in life, you're gonna to have pain. So I'm going to choose the pain with a reward in the other side every single time. coz the longer you stay in your comfort zone, so much more uncomfortable than the quick hit of pain, even if I do something and I fail, I'm like that’s ok, that’s progress, that’s the first step of going and doing something new. I think we forget that everyone is a beginner, id like to test ppl who are watching, to take their favorite mentor and go and look up some of their old stuff like 10 years ago, and youll be like omg I feel so much better about myself now. Coz we compare with how polish and good looking they are, but at some point they were at home alone on their computer with bad hair bad look.
If you can’t conceal it, reveal it [12:36]
■Before you perform, in those first spoken words that you released, you do a whole intro about how nervous you are about doing it. And then you start doing it amazingly and the second you done it youre like oh thank god I'm done. Its beautiful and hilarious at the same time. coz it’s a glimpse into seeing who you really are and seeing you are human just like everybody else. Because you did that, I feel that fear in you, to hear you overcome the fear and then exhale at the end. What was the reason behind doing it that way? Its showing vulnerability.
→I really believe my whole purpose on this planet is to be walking permission. And I can only be walking permission for ppl if I can give it to myself. I want ppl to look at me and know that when I do sth, I want them to see all of it, so it gives them permission to do whatever they wanna do. This weekend I got cried on the stage because I just got so nervous and overwhelmed, I literally asked them to support me, I cant do this without you cheering, pls cheer for me. I ask for support. I ask my friend before I do it, pls help me to get grounded, what I can do? I want ppl to see the journey to that is like I'm not just doing this, I ask for so many help and support, ive done all the rituals and I also allowed myself to let it be if I fail. My friend said to me: if you can’t conceal it reveal it. I cant conceal how freaked out I am, so I’m gonna tell you about it. Try it!
Transitioning to new tribes and facing the criticism [15:30]
■I’m a little obsessed about identity, growing up from my Greek background, I'm a Greek girl that have kid and support husband, even tho deep down I had massive dreams for I wanna win the awards and so on. but its always like two parts of me, the dream and the reality, and I separate them for the longest time. as I got older I tell myself I don’t have to be this. then I went into quest, then my identity was quest, making that shift was very difficult, and then into impact there in the making that shift again like constantly evolving, is what I strive for. But its hard when it comes to identity who you are yourself and then how other ppl identify you. talk to me about how you are able to either shut up the noise or embrace the noise of what your identity should be versus what you want your identity to be.
→it makes me emotional because I understand the transition from tribe to tribe to tribe.. because you are breaking the contract and acting the way they expect you to, which means you are gonna probably be kind of cast out or criticized. Because criticism is the fastest way to make someone act the way you want them to. That’s what we are afraid of. We are afraid of being criticized. Especially our character. Its important to know when you are criticized, its someone trying to control you our of fear. So if we can know what’s coming, and what is normal, we can also know that its gonna eventually bypass, and you can also learn how to support yourself around it. So I know that criticism is gonna come when I bring something new, but I also know I can support myself and get the ppl around me who are gonna help me if the criticism comes, or they’re gonna give me feedback about what I desire to hear, or they’re gonna help me in the transaction.
When I knew it was coming, I am scared to death of what ppl will say, like what a fraud, who is this person, why s she doing this , does she think shes that good etc., who knows? So what I did is, I did it first time in a very close gf group and I told them, Im gonna do this, but I don’t want any feedback yet coz im too rough. Give me a couple of days, just tell me the good stuff and Ill come back and ask for the best. When I do events, I give myself 4-5 days before I hear any feedback. Part of your private soul being shared, you dong have the willpower and exhasaused and put it our there the fear, so supporting yourself on what you want to do is so vital. As fas as the transition and leaving tribes, I think knowing what is gong to happen, asking ppl what happens in supporting yourself for where you want to go. So create group of ppl ofr where you want to go, instead of just for where you are at.
So I do that before I leave the tribe. Because what happens when you are like… wait is this normal? I just got criticism. So you can go ask that person and they’ll tell you, of course its normal, this is to be expected, here's what's gonna happen now. Ppl are gonna say this and that, its gonna feel this way, theres gonna be point where you're gonna feel like there's a freefall, its gonna feel awful, youre gonna wish you didn’t do it, youre gonna have vulnerability hangover, and you're gonna be like what the hell was I thinking, and youre gonn keep going and youre gonna do it again. So its important to have those ppl ahead on that journey, to tell you what it looks like ,or to think that its suppose to feel good, because thinking that your journey to who you want to be that its going to feel good, is one of the most disempowering belief we can possibly have. Coz it doesn’t feel good. I think its powerful to know. It feels like stretching beyond anything you think is possible, feels like massive self doubt, its painful, and its what it really looks like and feels like.

    Hello ladies.
I can relate to Lorie experience.
    In regards to someone being
    extremely and delivery.
    Verbally abusive to me.
This went on for five long
    years. Could I respond.
    By cussing this person out.
    Or possibly start to cry.
Because I was raised to respect
adults. I did none of the above.
Not that I was not capable of
doing so. My loving spirit for this
person. Did not allow me to.
As Lorie said. She had to love
this person not for the person.
But for herself. Which is a validation
    assessment. Conclusion to make.
I am also a God spiritual praying
    warrior. Therefore when ever I'am
in need for help and an answer.
God's grace and mercy shows up.
After I asked God to remove
is evil spirit from me. Before I
    stood up from this particular
prayer. God led me to realize.
This wicked spirit I felt. Was
    how this person was feeling
most of their life. As opposed
to my happiness go lucky self.
Because this person and I, knew some pf the same people.
I would see this person through the years.
Every time I would see this person.
    I no longer felt uncomfortable.
God answered my prayer. The words coming out of this persons mouth
    had no effect on me.
Twelve years later. This person nasty disposition was still their strongest link. Of evil spirited unhappiness
She striked up a conversation with me. About going to church.
    To talk about her daughter-In-law
like a dog. An elderly. lady told her.
She was a devil to speak such nasty things.
I look that person straight in their eyes. Without saying a word.
But in my mind. I thought to myself.
That woman's right you are a devil.
Unfortunately this person still misable. Not that person has to be.
It's just a way of their life.
    The great thing about life.
We get to pick and choose.
The people you want to socialize with.
    ever

About IDENTITY....how other people identified me was not how I saw myself at all....it’s been surreal to know the real ,everyday Aussie me , and then be surrounded by people who saw me like I was another person...theres always been 2 of me.... I don’t know or care about the one others see, I don’t know her, they have developed her in their imagination cos they can relate to me easier when in their mind im a simple European girl , but I’m nothing like that..and I don’t know why they insist that I am...it’s strange....but they freak out when modern Aussie bursts through...and they try to quash it..or ignore it....it’s been very sad to not be accepted, I’ve had to move on from people I didn’t want to move on from... but they don’t and won’t know me....they seem to refuse to accept me....I wanted nothing more than to be loved by them...hasn’t worked...and even though I’m being me and I’m free around people who know me...It’s always hurtful I didn’t make it with the people I wanted to luv and be luved by....I’m not really ok 100%...I’m too regretful and annoyed...but I soldier on of course cos I have kids and I need to keep smiling ....I won’t be a sad depressed mum... they deserve better...
