[ Lyrics below ] At Pinwherry station one Saturday night, The moon it was high in the sky A weary inspector was lying awake, For the very last train to go by But the engine was stuck, for the load was too great, The driver he wasn't depressed "Take half of em' up to the top of the hill, And then we'll come back for the rest" So they shunted them up to the top of the hill, Just over the crest at Pinmore And then they went back for the rest of the train As they'd done on occasions before Well they coupled them up when the message came through, The driver sat down with a groan "Oh those wagons we left at the top of Pinmore Are runnin' away on their own!" Well those runaway wagons had started to go And the brake couldn't handle the strain, They shot through the station at Pinwherry dip With the speed of a passenger train Oh the rate they were going it carried them on, Damn near to the top of the hill But the gradient won and they came to a stop, For a moment or two they were still Ah, but now that the incline was in the reverse, Those wagons were rolling once more Hurtling down to Pinwherry again, And all the way back to Pinmore! Where they came to a stop but it wasn't for long, And soon they were moving again And somewhere behind them the driver and guard Were searching for half of the train Oh the wagons go up and the wagons go down, They were doing ten minutes a trip Till at last they were spent and they came down to rest At the bottom of Pinwherry dip But at back at the station still lying awake The inspector was cursing the light Saying "I'm damned if I knew there were so many trains At the best bloody part of the night!"
The only other one I can think of with an upward incline at both ends is Harbour, and that one's just too big I had thought of using the forests, in fact one was a stand in for Pinmore, but they haven't got passenger platforms and don't have the right inclines
Request: do requiem for steam! You could use the steel mill as a scrap yard, & the steam demonstrators (in the state that you first discover them in) as scrap engines! (Ps: also i'd personally prefer if you used this version of the song: ruclips.net/video/oRJ9VKaBkG8/видео.htmlsi=fyed95sRvvyRW5cy )
[ Lyrics below ]
At Pinwherry station one Saturday night,
The moon it was high in the sky
A weary inspector was lying awake,
For the very last train to go by
But the engine was stuck, for the load was too great,
The driver he wasn't depressed
"Take half of em' up to the top of the hill,
And then we'll come back for the rest"
So they shunted them up to the top of the hill,
Just over the crest at Pinmore
And then they went back for the rest of the train
As they'd done on occasions before
Well they coupled them up when the message came through,
The driver sat down with a groan
"Oh those wagons we left at the top of Pinmore
Are runnin' away on their own!"
Well those runaway wagons had started to go
And the brake couldn't handle the strain,
They shot through the station at Pinwherry dip
With the speed of a passenger train
Oh the rate they were going it carried them on,
Damn near to the top of the hill
But the gradient won and they came to a stop,
For a moment or two they were still
Ah, but now that the incline was in the reverse,
Those wagons were rolling once more
Hurtling down to Pinwherry again,
And all the way back to Pinmore!
Where they came to a stop but it wasn't for long,
And soon they were moving again
And somewhere behind them the driver and guard
Were searching for half of the train
Oh the wagons go up and the wagons go down,
They were doing ten minutes a trip
Till at last they were spent and they came down to rest
At the bottom of Pinwherry dip
But at back at the station still lying awake
The inspector was cursing the light
Saying "I'm damned if I knew there were so many trains
At the best bloody part of the night!"

@@Spencer-b4j On RUclips, simply enough
@@mattwolfeius okay but I need the title of the song name and the person who sing that song, k?
@@Spencer-b4jThe song is Pinwherry Dip, sung by Dave Goulder. It is literally in the title, and in the intro.
