I watched this just to bring back the memories! We stayed in 2017 which sadly was the last time we were able to visit WDW (from UK). We adored this resort, it was so relaxing and a great place to unwind after a full on park day! We loved the smaller pools, really quiet and as we stayed in a Royal room we had one right by us so super convenient. I’d definitely stay here again 💚
Aw I love that! I get nostalgic for the resorts we stayed in on our early vacations too. So many good memories. 🤗
Love the bayou buildings. Quiet , small quiet pools I love on adult vacation. Nice to walk around, great food court. I don’t see the attraction to mansion rooms or POFQ.
We've stayed there every other year and hopefully the years to come. WE LOVE IT👑
I didn’t know you made these videos! What a wonderful summary, and really well-done! I love the sparkle transitions. You are a great host! And kudos for keeping it brief but hitting on so many aspects of the resort. We really got a good feel for it.
Thank you so much!
Very professional and mature presentation. I watch many of these reviews, well done !
Thank you very much!
My son and I both loved our stay here! I liked the relaxing vibe of Riverside but with the ability to access the amenities of the French Quarter. My 7 year old loves pools so the ability to utilize both Riverside and French Quarter pools is fantastic! The boat transportation was fun and easy. My son has an egg allergy and they were able to make an egg free beignets for him and he LOVED them! Bus transport to the parks was easy. We did the fishing, carriage ride, and arcade and it was a win all around. We also saw characters like Jasmine appear outside of the Riverside lobby.
Disney is really the best with food allergies too. It’s so easy to find great options. So glad you enjoyed your stay!
Love all these videos! Funny I prefer FQ over Riverside. I think the downside to Riverside is multiple bus stops where FQ is 1 stop, smaller compact resort. Keep up the good work, Serena and team!
That’s a good point about French Quarter! I am just in love with those Royal Rooms. 🤗 Thanks so much for watching!
Your video was very well done. I stayed at three Disney Resorts so far and while every one has its unique charms, if I had to choose a favorite, I'd probably pick Riverside.
Its kind of tough to explain but I found this resort the most 'relaxing' of all of them. The place was more homely, and everyone seemed happier and chilled out than the usual hustle and bustle. With Riverside, everything was so easy to navigate and find, the staff were wonderful, of course the place is beautiful, and I agree, if we're talking food courts, Riverside's is the clear winner. I found their food to be the best out of all of them, a great selection to choose from, seating was great (even if it was crowded, you had your own space), and there were no complications. What I mean by this was that other resorts, while their food was good, one of them I had to wait to be seated, they may have asked you to purchase a ticket first, or items were tough to find. Not with Riverside, that resort had no complications and maintained top notch quality.
The only con I give Riverside was their lack of bus stop locations.
I agree Riverside just has this super relaxed charm that we loved!
Yes would love to see French Quarter!
This is a beautifully done, and well-organized overview! I've visited French Quarter Resort, but am now intrigued with Riverside. Thank you for the insight and providing a truly comprehensive guide. Looking forward to more guides from Living By Disney!
Aw thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. 🤗
This is one of the best resort overviews I’ve seen! Please do French Quarter!!
Thank you!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

We will!
Hello, this was such a great insight. I'd love a video on French Quarter as we are staying there soon x
That one may have to go on the list then 🤗
We're staying in December so I second your request!
New sub. Riverside may be my favorite of all the resorts. It's sooooo relaxing there.
Thanks for the sub!
I’ve been thinking about staying here so this is really helpful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
This was a great insight, thank you! I'm very excited to stay there in 2024!
Glad it was helpful!
Oh wow that piano guy is still there. Saw him years ago and last Jan. I’m sure I’ll see him in November too lol
He is a disney legend for sure!
Love this video!! Would really like to see the same for FQ please as we can’t decide between the two so it would really help!! ❤
Great suggestion and thanks for watching!
Hi! Love the video. You’ve just earned another subscriber. Can I ask, when did you film this? I heard the boat between Port Orleans and Disney Springs was taken out of service? Is it working again now?
It was filmed in late May/Early June. The boat service was paused for a bit in June due to low water levels but to my knowledge is running normally now. And thanks! 🤗
I'm staying at FQ in late November, gimme some tips and tricks ♡
I’ll see what we can do 🤗 thanks for watching!
Personally I couldn’t stay in the plantation buildings but I do love the river with the blooming Magnolias!
Love that river area for sure!
