You're the worst representation of food here in the Phil kaya wag ka nang trying hard, OA ka pa. Pa-cute ka pang animal ka, mukha ka namang hindi naliligo.     Sacorab(scallion), luya pageresun(ginger), luya tiduk(fresh cayyen pepper), with a few salt combine it to boyowa or mixer and that we called mailaw a Palapa (fresh palapa And when it cooked we added shreded coconut with small sugar in it that so delicious appetizer and a medecine food, the maranao food is heatiest food because their always a Kalawag(turmeric) and luya pagiresun(ginger) and the Sacorab(scallions) palapa is a secret medicine food of our ancestors maranao.

    I'm an Ilonggo in ethnicity and loved Sakurab when I first tasted it. I started to look aroud in our public market here in General Santos City and found a small Maranao community and was able to buy Sakurab and made myself a Palapa.

    Amazing video of Jack fruit recipes. Looks so yummy. In my country of Guyana we do cook small Jack fruit curry with coconut milk. It's is yummy too but this one in the Philippines takes so long to cook. Enjoy Mark.

    Mark, my brother in Christ the fish fried patties in the USA is called salmon croquettes or fish croquettes.     Awww, I miss the city.
    Born and raised in Samar but my dad’s from Taraka. I went to MSU for a year (96-97) and lived with my uncle in Marawi.
    I wish I remember the names of my classmates and boarding house friends. I’d love to connect with them.

    Never heard/knew of Marawi and Marawi and Maranao cuisine before. Oh my, the yellow rice, badak, palapa, everything look so so good, flavorful and exciting!     "Dodol" is also available in malaysia (melaka state, particularly). likely a regional food across the SEA nations, doubting that it exclusively originates from that region (as stated by the guide) 🙌🏼
