  • During our visit to Wolsztyn to commemorate Howard Jones and the Wolsztyn Experience (both no longer with us), we had a free day to chase and ride the regular steam passenger train to Poznan with Pt 47-65, Wolsztyn's only operational steam loco at present. The loco was not turned in Poznan despite the presence of a turntable there. We were told this is a cost saving measure - possibly the Poznan turntable needs a repair. It is not clear how much longer these regular steam passenger trains will last. The new management may be more interested in creating a tourist steam service in the future rather than a regular passenger service.

Some of these locos remind me of the big ones you see in the states.
And theres a graveyard of ones waiting to be restored😊👍
