Many carp streamers are hung on the Takase River, which flows through the Takase district of Yamagata City, in time for the cherry blossoms to bloom. The view of the carp streamers as you descend to the riverbank is truly spectacular. There are carp streamers from various eras, and it's fun to look at their different expressions.
