According to THOMAS’ website, this engine has been discontinued. It’s going to be interesting if they adopt the upcoming CUMMINS 6.7 propane engine due next year.
@ The C2 lists that DD5 as being available now. INTERNATIONAL dropped out of the engine business several years ago and BLUEBIRD offers a FORD 7.3L V8 in the VISION in gasoline versions. I own CUMMINS stock but competition is a good thing. Plus most customers prefer to standardize anyway.
@@crabbymilton390 true which is why I believe more companies should try to compete in the engine making business. I liked how it was 10-20+ years ago when everyone pretty much had their own engines in the bus and truck industry whether it be gas or diesel.
I don’t think I will ever see a Propane powered C2, tho I have seen Propane powered Visions and CE’s before, as a matter of fact, the moving company that I also work for besides being a school bus driver is putting me in a new truck in a few weeks, I’m really excited, it’s going to be a 2019 Freightliner M2 106. Kinda like the one box truck I drove one time, except that one had an 11-speed split shift, and the truck they are going to put me in is going to have an Allison transmission which I really am not a fan of, I just think they are boring even tho my 2011 C2 has one. Right now I currently have a 2015 International Durastar that has a Maxxforce 7 which is not the greatest engine but it works. My new truck will have a cummins 6.7 in it. And the cab will be extended to, my international Durastar is just a day cab, nothing special. Whereas the Freightliner M2 106 that they are putting me in is going to have an extended cab, it’s going to have a bed in the back of the cab as well which will be helpful for when I am moving someone to a far place that’s not in my town.
We are getting Propane buses soon in January. Going to be Visions.

It seems like everyone is going to Cummins for engines. It seems like they’re becoming a monopoly over the medium duty market.
