I think it's really true that if you beat the offlaner, he's not coming back. Winning as an offlaner however doesnt really matter in the long run. You can boot the carry out and take the tower, but the side camps gives them so much comeback potential nowadays. Unlike before where they have to play jungle and get ganked all the time.
You know is a great player in one instance. Around minute 12:00 WR powershot to scout Mars he joins....sees Hoodwink about to shakle him...and he purposely reposition him self with Rot up between Mars and hood to maximize the damage, that's a sick play, even tough they dont get the kill on Mars
You do know that the one actually killing/last hitting the enemy gets more gold? That means more farm => faster timings => more offensive power on the carry. Especially in the laning phase that can make a huge power difference between the carry and the offlaner
