I just screenshot the "Routine is the enemy..." quote you have. I just retired after 51 years of working/routine. I think losing the routine has been the hardest part. I will use this quote to remind myself that I can now approach retirement with enthusiasm rather than regret/discomfort. I used to do art but allowed my routine to distract from it. Thanks to BTS and your comment/narrative, I will approach life differently. Thank you.

As always, I appreciate your comments. The 7 BTS members are super special in many ways, so please don’t take my comment as a criticism.
It seems to me that as young boys, they had excellent people shepherding them along. People who recognized their unique talents and fostered them; stretched their knowledge base to some rather arcane Western literature; devised interesting games for Run BTS; sent them on trips to rather out of the way places…Finland, Malta; developed excellent choreography that has promoted growth for all the members; producers and song writers who compliment and extend the members individual talents; etc… I could continue, but you get the point.
BTS would not exist without the 7 members who have given so much and have the personalities to ensure their success. But there are many people behind the scenes, without whom BTS would not be where they are today!

I agree with what you said about the people behind BTS success. I give a lot of credit to ARMY. Many of the BTS songs and lyrics were written by RM, Suga and JHope. The vocal line also contributed lyrics to their songs. Bang PD said he gave them artistic freedom to create their own music.

Plus the ... what was it ... the something and Development people. The people who trained them how to be idols, how to behave as idols in the industry; to the extent that CEO Bang directed. Then, their family and friends too. Greatness is not created in a bubble. They were natured and nurtured to be so. Our7 are magnificent! 💜

I throughly enjoyed your work on this video and your insights into the group. I like watching BTS content but get frustrated at the lack of maturity. I am 64 and BTS was my salvation during a difficult time in my life. ARMY was also a big factor in that being so welcoming and kind. I know that is the case for many ARMY. The vibe has changed a bit now with ARMY but I remind myself and others ARMY is billions strong and that includes every nationality, ethnic group, religion, gender, age, economic level, you name it. It is impossible for us all to see eye to eye on every single subject. What is important now is that we continue to show respect for one another so that our actions do not reflect negatively on BTS. I am going to subscribe and continue to watch your content. Thank You! 💜

BTS also saved my sanity, reminded me of my resilience, while going through complex grief... I wish I could recall the exact moment when it clicked for me...
At first, it was their beauty that caught my eye... A deep dive into their story revealed their authenticity and depth of character.
My "peers" do not begin to understand my "latest obsession," and no one has bothered to look under the surface.
I'm grateful I have decided to stay open-minded and intensely curious about the things that make me feel alive... Art and music... (From Bowie to Philip Glass to BTS, and to my amazement BTS has proved to be most impactful)
      Thank you...

RM I think said "We are seven individual in the same boat looking in different directions." I want to change it : " We are seven giants in the same boat looking in different directions." To me, they have paved the way. For a long time, I thought K-Pop meant Kids -Pop, so I was not interested. After I started watching Google shorts I fell in love with BTS. I started listening to "Fire" and Idol. Before I clicked play, I remember hoping that I liked it. I get so tired of kids that grow up and then destroy their lives for 10 years. Then they put out some music. Happily, I loved "Set Me Free! When I heard "Like Crazy" I knew it was a hit!
I actually wanted to buy music! Each solo by BTS has been superb! Before BTS I was listening to classic Rock and Country.
I thought I was too old for rap and uninterested in big-band music. They are all so incredible. I want them to go as high as they want. I consider them real idols. Let them stay together and still make room for their individual projects. I am so happy for them! You say it a lot better but I just had to add my thoughts.

    • @ruthfischer7615
      @ruthfischer7615 9 месяцев назад +1

It's funny how long it took my to understand that "Fire" had a very important message and didn't just "soung good".
Dr. Jiyoung Lee always shows of a particular quote from the lyrics to show how BTS is different.
It helps that the MV on the HYBE channel has a serious misstranslation and only 1theK has the real one:
      "It's okay to loose"
But you have to know the context and truly look closer to understand how important that sentiment is - especially in SK - but also everywhere else.

Thank you, it’s heart warming to know what we as ARMY know about the guys. They don’t complicate things for themselves and our relationship with them is symbiotic. One of my favorites came back 10 years later, after learning hard lessons about humility and the importance of the group. I also think the clear expectations of Asian societies in terms of expected behaviour ( sex, drugs and rock n roll ) humility and respect has probably helped them not go “off the rails” like many young western artists. They know that certain bad behaviours are not tolerated. Their families as well clearly have been profound influences. And credit to Bang PD he seems to have their interests as artists and individuals front of mind.

The times off that things forced on them and all of us made them seek other avenues. If all of us took advantage of our side tracks we come out better for it. This time in the military will ultimately be good for them and make them stronger in their goals. I feel like I am being given the chance to catch up on knowing who they are.
I have thought that the timing of JK’s album was perfect. I call it the GOLDEN ‘mic drop’. Like in the song Standing Next To You, he laid the Album down like the mic , walked away and let it do its thing.
I would call them White Lighters, but that puts a lot of pressure on a person. They just need to keep being in this world creating good things and awakening the White Lighters in the rest of us.
