This was Awesome Kev, nice to have Kieran in on the action too. This was an interesting line, definitely Joe trying to cash in on the early 90's Ninja craze, good stuff man.
Hey, Kieran on the show. That's cool. This line is from after I stopped with GI Joe (and actually just before I switched into my only-collectibles-in-package phase of collecting). So it fun to learn about.
Awesome video guys.. have got all of the Ninja Force from 92 and 93..... any idea why the 93 Night Creeper Leader was in battle corps and not like a proper ninja force dude? that has been bugging me for almost 30 years now LOLs
I had Dojo,Dice, Nunchuck, a snake eyes that changed color in water, firefly in his green attire, and that ninja in white with the orange mask. I also had Sgt. Savage with his tape he came with
I really got into G.I Joe in 1992. I have all of that year's Ninja Force. I liked them all but my favorites are Nunchuk and Slash. I never did get 1993 Scarlett, Snake Eyes, or orange Slash but I have the other 4. Snake Eyes is the only 1994 Shadow Ninja Force figure I have. I remember feeling like he was a disappointment compared to the 1992 line. I completely agree with you guys on the fact that this line had 2 drawbacks. 1) They're incredibly hard to repair. 2) The thumbs broke too easily from constant play depending on the weapon. Overall, I really enjoyed this line as a kid and still do as an adult. The GI Joe comic book really focused on these guys for years during the 1990s before it concluded with issue 155. Thanks for the work you guys put in to make this video.
I think these were the last ones I ever had before moving onto to larger scale action figures. I had Dojo and Storm Shadow but was always confused as to why he wasn't with Cobra anymore. Because of their weird hips and arms I seldom played with them but they were both cool looking.
Its nice seeing a video with a fan of that sub-team. Kinda reminded me of a documentary about fans of a disliked movie I saw, the fans seemed to be good people still.
Ninja Force guys are fun. I'm in my 20s, so I was a child of the New Sculpt era (so MY G.I. Joe ninjas were Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Kamakura, Jinx, Tiger Claw, Slice, and Slash). They even tried to bring back the Ninja Force gimmicks for a bit, there were Storm Shadow and Kamakura figures with action features in Valor vs. Venom. The Kamakura one was garbage though, which is a shame because I actually really like him as a character. But I've been diving down a rabbit hole of Old Joe, and as much as I totally understand why purists hate Ninja Force, I find a weird charm and appeal in them, so I have a few (secondhand, no weapons). Got a soft spot for T'JBang and Dojo (I have both. The Swedish flag colors grow on you I guess), and I unironically think Nunchuk looks cool (don't have him). Also thinking of repainting a movie-era Storm Shadow figure into T'Ginzu.
@@Pegwarmers That's cool. One thing I never understood about the NS era is why they didn't bring Dice back when they brought Slice back. Instead they partnered him with some new guy named Slash. (ok to be fair Slash was a cool figure) But it's obvious that Valor vs. Venom was trying to tap back into that Ninja Force theme with "Ninja Battles".
@@Pegwarmers Heh, glad I could help - even if it was just a little bit! I've taken a few Japanese language classes and understand a bit of Japanese, and that certainly ain't it... plus from what I've seen, Japanese toy boxes aren't written exclusively in Kanji; usually it's a blend of mainly Katakana and Hiragana plus Kanji when needed. Sorry I didn't mention it earlier but this was a damn good overview of the line, too.
I had Dojo...had no idea till this vid lol..I remember dat red ninja 2.....my older cuz in had a bunch of these n of course TMNT....I remember the weird GI joe Street Fighters....I really liked those.. I was...well still M a huge SF fanboy..my gf got me the Super 7 "remakes" of Ken in his player 2 gi
Almost everybody is a cobra guy. They were cooler. They have advanced tech way ahead of their time like weather manipulating machine, battle android troopers, anti matter spce probe, DNA cloning etc. If it wasn't for bad politics inside their camp, they would've beaten the joes. On the other hand The joes were united no political division within their camp even if they only use standard army issued tech they always beat cobra to a retreat. Hehe.

Yeah, it's been a while since Kieran was on the channel and he and I talk about 90's Joes a lot. So this was a great video to have him on.
Awesome guys..love all GI JOE including Ninja Force I'm a guy that LOVES the bright colours on 90s figures...well most of them anyway. Awesome 👍😁
I'm really glad you found the channel.

Everyone is Ninja action feature, he couldn't join the club. I agree it was odd.

Yeah, depending on the age, I think Ninja Force was a turning point for a lot of kids/collectors.

Yeah, I really wanted someone on board who enjoyed this figures.
Lezen, why are you not on cinemassaxre anymore?
Really cool 😎
Great line, Great video!
Thanks for checking it out!

Wow, great to hear about your history with GI Joe. I was buying the new sculpt figures in college.

"This is in Japanese"
He says, as he shows off a box that has Cantonese or possibly Mandarin on it. :P
Either way I don't speak that language, but when I bought it off eBay it was listed as Japanese. Thank you for letting me know.

There will be a video on the Street Fighter figures down the road. (We already filmed it, but these take a while to edit).

I like your voice, keep it up.
Thanks!
What hurt g.i.joe is they stopped making cartoons that made you want to buy the toys
Yeah, the cartoon became very expensive to produce, but it's true that giving the kids great stories makes them want the toys.
