I remember the first T-1000 (biker) and John Connor being terribly difficult to find in stores at first….I think I still a carded T-1000 that I got back in ‘91. 😅. Had the entire first series of figures from ‘91, vehicles and the bioflesh regenerator, too. From the 2nd wave, I had a repaint of the battle damaged T-800 (with a yellow tank top and weird camo pants 😂). I had exploding T-1000 only because my friend at the time bought it for me...because he had a T-800 figure so now we could have our figures fight each other. He did this because somehow he had gotten in to see the movie, and loved it, even though he was only like eight years old in 1992. I wasn't allowed to see R rated movies yet because I was twelve that year, but there I was with an admittedly cool T-1000 figure that I had no idea what to do with. That Bio Flesh Generator did look awesome to me back then though, and the squishy pink putty used as the "flesh" was the same stuff that a dentist uses to make castings of peoples' teeth which means that you could still use that playset, all you would have to do is find more of that powdered dental putty. I didn't know that Universal had re-issued those piece of crap figures in their theme parks. Interesting...and kind of a waste of money...for both them and us.

Wasn't into Terminator 2 as a little boy (I'd find an appreciation for it when I got older), but my mom did get me the Bio-Flesh Reginerator out of the blue. Cool idea, but the toy was garbage. Was hard to use, made a mess, the mold only vaguely resembled the sculpted figure on the box, and the flesh came apart too easily. There was also no real playability because the figure had zero articulation.
They resurrected the idea for Terminator: Salvation. Not sure if it worked any better or it was just the same thing.
