Feeling a connection to God through certain types of old Gospel tunes doesn't mean that other styles aren't also inspired by God. God is too big to fit into just one box. He can work powerfully through urban Gospel, Rap Gospel, hymns, or even other styles that may seem unusual to some. Just because we're familiar with certain songs or genres doesn't mean they're the only ones God can use to reach us. God's power isn't limited by our expectations or traditions. He can work through any kind of music to touch our hearts and bring about a revival, even in unexpected places like a club. So, let's be open to how God chooses to move in our lives and not try to confine Him to our own ideas. God's ways are beyond our understanding, and His love can reach us through any song or sound.

Lol. God does not work through any kind of music. There is such a thing as "the songs of the Lord" (see 1 Chronicles 25:1-7). The Levites tasked with psalmistry and music in the temple were all instructed in the songs of the Lord. This matter of "don't put God in a box" has opened the church to so many extra biblical activities and manifestations. We did not put God in a box. We walk with God as He chooses to manifest Himself to man. So we have the responsibility of testing every manifestation to see if it is indeed God behind it or not. God does not know genre. God only knows songs that are from Him. Likewise, genre is not the focus. The focus is "is this song inspired of God?". That's all that matters. May we not embrace Satan in our attempt of not "putting God in a box".
      God bless you

It is very easy to criticize what you don't understand. It is obvious you don't know how music has evolved. Do you have any idea the genre the Levites used? If you were to hear it today, it would sound very weird based on what you are used to.
It is interesting, you have more to research. God can move anyhow He wants. He could even choose to speak through a donkey. Don't put God in a box.

Some content in certain urban Gospel could carry certain biblical revelational truth some called pastors might not even know.
      God is God.
The fact the Gospel has transcended beyond the walls of the Church, does not mean it is not God inspired. It is a sign God is breaking barriers anyhow He chooses to move. Don't put God in a box.

@@khariscreations-gospelvibe5877 what I'm used to does not matter. What matters is if what I'm hearing and opening up my spirit to is indeed from God. Personal preference is no match for the will of God. Like I said earlier, God does not know genre. We test the spirit behind the song, not the genre.

@@khariscreations-gospelvibe5877 The gospel was not meant to remain within the confines of the church; whether word or song. It was designed to spread. However we do not flout God's ways just because we want others to hear the gospel. Hence, there is no room for gimmicks and theatrics when delivering the mind of God; whether in word or song ministrations. Sometimes it is not Men putting God in a box,but rather Men aligning to what God has revealed as His sacrosanct will and modus operandi. God is God. Yes He is. But He does not do things anyhow. God is not an anyhow God. He makes His ways known unto those who seek Him sincerely. He is not a "by heart" God. It is expedient to know God's ways so that when some Men point out the fact that "This is not how God acts", you won't say they are putting God in a box. GOD IS GOD, BUT HE IS NOT AN "ANYHOW, BY ANY MEANS" GOD. HE HAS HIS WAYS!!

If he thinks today's gospel is not good for him, he should enter studio and do his own song and let's see.

This mindset is the mentality of colloquial thinkers. It is not different from how oldies feel about the youth of today. We must understand the times and the experience and the mentality of humans at that time.

It does not change the fact that the songs they used to sing had power behind it. Does it?

    • @khariscreations8158
      @khariscreations8158 2 месяца назад +2

What do you use to measure power? The fact that some feel connected to God during those times based on the style of music doesn’t mean that other styles are not God-inspired. God is too big to be put into a box. In certain areas and to certain people, God can choose to move massively through urban Gospel and Rap Gospel to reach that audience. In certain areas, God can choose to move powerfully through hymns, in certain areas God can choose to heal through Sounds of Praises which might not make sense to some. The fact that some of us grew up with certain songs, writings, and certain styles does not mean that is the benchmark. God will move those times because that is the available tunes available to you. I have seen God move through songs, genres, tunes Ghanaians are not used to. So be careful how you decide how God should move. God can choose to move through a gospel you are not used to even at the club for a revival to break up. DON'T PUT GOD IN A BOX.

The accuser of the brethern is the devil, these attacks are too much. Sing your song we will sing. People sing their experiences with Christ. The people of the old sang their level of their walk with God and their understanding. Let the youth of today sing their song.

That is indeed accurate. It is important to refrain from criticizing that which we do not comprehend or are unfamiliar with. The events occurring today serve as a reminder that God utilizes all possible methods to connect with the current generation.

Almost everybody is cashing out these days. Those who preach are cashing out. Yet they have a problem with people who spend hours writing lyrics and melodies and paying for production. What is the problem, really? Is it the cashing out or the lyrics? If his problem is about the lyrics, then there are equally old songs that are not Biblically sound as well, and there are new songs that are Biblically sound. When we preach Christ, the congregation will know Christ and use music that preaches Christ as well. If we turn the preaching of the Gospel to philosophies of men, the minstrels will do concert

Is clearly they have none and some don’t even care. They just need the money.Trust me some are also witches and wizards

We love our party songs wai. Who told you Gospel songs should be slow songs only. If they center on Jesus, that's the point.
The Bible says that in the presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy. Where are we supposed to go and enjoy ourselves and be happy? In the club????
Have you heard of King David?
What if it was during this era that he had gone naked in order to praise God? It is people like you who would call him mad.
I'm not saying gospel songs should stray from the real ficus, Jesus Christ. All I'm saying is that feeling excited in God's presence isn't a sin if the source of our happiness is the joy He gives.
The Bible calls it a garment of praise.

Is the problem the cashing out or the lyrical content. As an honourable steward of the gospel, if you know a song is not scriptural point the song out. Let’s not behind the emotions we attach to songs we grew up with and condemn an entire generation. There are songs written now that preach Jesus if you can’t find them expand your and call out what isn’t scriptural. In the same way the kids now will also grow up and might say they don’t write songs like the Joe mettle songs any longer. Let’s learn to do better. The beginning of the clip has its place and it’s not comparing it to current songs.
