That's good to hear brother! It's wild out here, never know when we might need it! 😎😎😎 planning on doing some more reviews over other brands like mountain house. Support this channel by subscribing. Thanks!
My family goes through a 50 pounds bag of uncooked rice in about 3 months. So essentially 200 pounds per year. Readywise is not ready for Asians. But I always have at least 300 pounds of uncooked rice in my reserve rice bin.
it is packed in bulk, this is one of the cheaper options but definitely a good starting point. if you want more individualized i would look into mountain house. going to do some tasting test videos here soon with mountain house. subscribe to stay tuned.
OK so I just checked and the dates are on the inside but they don't say exp date, they say "made on" date so I'm assuming you just add 25 years to the made on date to find out the expiration date
Also, I believe they even last longer than the 25 years but I believe the flavor will start to become stail after that but I think as long as the bag isn't broken they will last forever. They're are definitely more gourmet better tasting brands out there but I think this is a great starting point to get the ball rolling for the price.
Not terrible but pretty good 👌 this is more of a starter more economical kit that is the best bang for tbr buck. As far as flover goes, the brand mountain house leads the pack. I'm going to be doing more videos over this as well as taste testing videos. Be sure to subscribe 🙏
The main reason I recommend this is that when I first started prepping I didn't have a lot of money to spend so this was a good deal to get the ball rolling so I at least had something if shit hit the fan lol
I like augason farms. They are middle of the road. It's no mountain house but mountain house gets all its flavor from sodium. My opinion. Invest in a freeze dryer and educate yourself on how to use it. Then make your own freeze dried meals. Eventually it pays for itself. It's huge investment up front but you can make so much and higher quality.
@@BurritoBandito140 that's actually a good idea! Yes I completely agree, I want to make a video on mountain house as well. Do you have any recommendations on freeze dryers?
I have not tried the taste of them yet. i figure its a pretty good starting point just to get the ball rollilng then you can start investing in higher quality stuff. how do you feel about mountain house? i thought about doing a review of them
@@CaseyQueen Mountain House is actually really good…high in salt…these emergency buckets aren’t supposed to taste good…(that’s what I was told) they’re for survival…if they taste good? You would want to eat more…that’s not good in a survival situation…hope this helps…I personally want to enjoy my food no matter the circumstances lol…also…Mountain house is geared towards backpacking and camping trips…not survival…good luck

Is it rationed in the bags or packed bulk? once it is opened it needs to used up in said time ?

Yes this is definitely one of the more budget friendly options out there. It's a good starting point for sure and then you can upgrade to other brands

I thought it tasted pretty bad myself…ijs
When you are starving and wishing everything is perfect, these will go down like steak and potatoes off the grill.
It’s 30 days for one person correct?
