Who put the mic over the badge on the orange 🤦🏻♂️
Interesting choice.
oops
Hahaha
Yeah... OMG
i know what you mean, although it actually sounds good! i can hear how the orange has more bass response and less clarity and vox the opposite ... wouldnt be surprised if due to mic placement
The orange sounds brighter and crisper it has a sweet sweeter tone
This is exactly what I wanted from Orange. Clean. Clean. Clean.
Oranges have beautiful clean sounds!!! Not sure why people keep saying they don't.
I think if you ran em together it would sound incredible
Chime goes to Vox it just stands out to my ears the Orange sounded a tad better overall. A Greenback AC15 goes for about $700 new and the Orange Tremlord goes for $1300. I am biased because I am a Vox guy but I am wanting an Orange. I don't know if the difference in the two warranted paying the extra cash for the better amp. If your looking for clean tones it is hard to go wrong with the Vox AC15 the Tremlord is a very cool amp though. Hats off to the Britt's they do make the best guitar amps.
I dunno if you got round to buying your Orange but I had the Orange and my AC15C1x parked side by side and the Vox could pull off everything the Orange could do plus more, having for more flexibility to play styles the Orange just wasnt cut out for. I even parked the Vox next to my Fender Deluxe and it done near all the Fender could, nearly put the Fender out the door aswell but just couldnt bring myself to do it. For me it was a space issue and some amps had to go,.Yes when it comes down to performing songs that beg for that Orange Amp then stick with the Orange Amp, but damn the Vox imitates it so well
They both sounded lovely but I think I'd have to pick the Orange over the Vox if forced. Cheers!
Both are really nice! Just depends on what you're looking for. Tremolo alone both are great. I think a few folks are comparing tones, which are going to be different. But both have great tones too! The orange has a great tone, but the Vox's ability to cut through, and that chime... again, both are really great sounding amps.
Im well impressed by that orange, sound better than the vox to me
Orange Tremlord-my jaw dropped 👍 Beautiful deep rich cleans with a wonderful shimmer. I have the AC 15 and it kinda lacks in depth but has plenty of shimmer.
I'm a Tremlord owner and love it. I just wanted to say that while the comparison to the Vox is fair, the Tremlord is not a Vox clone. While it's capable of AC15 chime, it fits just as naturally with the Swampy, Bluesy vibe of a Princeton Reverb. It's kind of a unique mashup of the two.
very happy with both of them. Any differences between them could have been the settings.
The trem circuit on the Orange is leaps and bounds ahead of that on the AC15…
Wow….!!!
The AC had more top end as an Amp.
But the Orange is full and round.
But when listening to the trem, it’s the real seller. That Valve trem circuit in that Orange did the authentic 50’s thing. Where as on the AC it was less musical and too low down in the mix.
Lord Baelish, is that you?
The Orange for me. Classier. But pricier.
Orange had a wave sound. Vox had a more digital sound. Both gr8 depending on what you're looking for. Thanks guys
More digital sound? It's all valve!
@@arbitermatt crazy hey, I watched a test of samplings here on youtube somewhere and so called experienced guitarists who owned valves amps were calling solid states as valves and valves as solid states lol
@@arbitermatt Idiots trying to sound more clever than they actually are. Ask them to explain how a valve amp produces aliasing and they won't actually know what it even is!
The orange has an effects loop too
TheTaulusPaulus if it’s so clean, do you really need one?
The way I use time based effects? Yes
Vox seemed to have a fatter sound. Like a fuller and slightly more balanced range.
Orange all the way!
Orange brings guitar, Vox takes some extra atmosphere around, including more of finger noise and obviously player.
Yes, but can it beat Roland JC in cleans?
I'd take that Orange over the Vox any day
Both sound nice orange sound bit better lot Detail in sound you can hear guitar run Through all the circuits out of speakers vix sound great too. It's hard there is a difference in tremolo orange as more flowing detail to the vox like A tube or sold state. Poweramp both nice I like orange to all vintage
What is awesome about the Tremlord is it's compactness. An AC15 or 30 is annoyingly awkward to carry.
Both use EL84s I think that they sound different not better than one another just different from each other. I personally love both brands and own both brands and use them differently.
All talking until 3:05
Hero
3:50 "Wtf mate?!"
What happened?
The dude on the left turning off the volume without even asking, look at the reaction of the guy on the right 😅
uuuh, guys your mic on the orange... it's... you're micing the logo. Why?
The Vox didn't sound dialed in to me. Was the tone cut nob adjusted at all during the demo?
Honestly I think this was awesome but to me the comparison should really be between the fender bassbreaker/ OR Trem lord. I think the Vox takes this one though just do to its chime. Coming from a huge 🍊 ⚡️ fan
Get more diversity from the Vox. If you think an AC15 is heavy wait till you have to lug that orange around! Even Oranges solid state amps are heavy AF!
Vox wins.
I'd be immensely curious to know how a Jensen or otherwise 'Murican style speaker would work in this amp.
Would have liked to hear both of them through various gain settings
Orange has more style 😎
Vox AC15C1x can go anywhere the Orange can, but not so vice versa
But the vox can't do drive as effectively and with drive you really need a treble booster with the vox and as Brian may puts it ' without a treble booster the amp makes a wooly confused sound unlike an orange or marshall'
@@berennicholas5003 yes but I can get a treble booster for the Vox, I cant take the drive out of the Orange making the Vox more versatile and user friendly
I was impressed with the Tremlord, a Alnico blue / gold, or Eminence Red Fang, would polish that tone for my tastes just a little bit. I am actually surprised.
I wouldn't go with the blue as it's only 15w.
@@chrisdee5032 that is true then the Red Fang makes the most sense.
I’ll take them.
Orange has a bigger more vast sound Vox sounds thinner brighter more subtle.
Tremlord for Xmas Pls
Esquire??? It’s got a neck pickup
It’s a custom shop build.
Both amp's sound cracking...! But, if push came to shove.... Vox AC....! 3 ton of overtime and every weekend that Tele could be yours in a couple of years....! 😁😁😁 💰💳💷💷💷💸
You think you jest. The hoboroadie is saving dimes for an AC15HW60. That high gain preamp valve is special.
Lol who set up the mics
Cainhurst The fairies at the bottom of the garden
Nice mic placement on the Orange...🤣🤣🤣
The comment about clean tones from an orange not being thought of as good is stupid. The rockerverb 50 produces some of the best clean tones I have every heard far surpassing fender or marshall and vox.
I'm looking at a rockerverb in the next couple of days have you tried the mkii for cleans? Thank you
Yeah micing a badge is less stupid then a mic on a head
The orange is double the price and double the wattage so it's not that fair
hillsong worship
Why no princeton reverb with valve trem closer in price point and features. Or even a deluxe reverb. What a missed opportunity
can the orange be pushed? does it get that starting break up sound at any point?
No it's not a fender
The image is too offensive
So why are we comparing a 2000$ amp with a 1000$ amp?
Does cost always represent quality?
@@GakCoUk no not always but often yes say compare a £80 eBay strat with a £1080 strat as it has the same price gap
