You know what this game would be like if it were like a fighting shonen? ''The Wheel Of Fate Is Turning! Rebel 1! Action!'' *cue three episode flashback*
The Lamer Gamer I think it’s because the animations in the newer ones are Snappier, while in this it seems there’s a longer pause after each hit; Probably to give off a sense of momentum and Impact.
kaqn is my BB idol, even if i could pull off the combos he does consistently it will take half my life to develop such fast thinking and use them effectively in matches. he read that jin like a children's book
only the start up frames but u have to take into effect that he has so many openings, he needed at least one invincible move, just like Ragnas uppercut slash
@airplayY Well Noel's bread and butter combos are actually not your standard fare and I think Jin has an easier learning curve to learning his combos than she does, seeing as he doesn't have any throw cancel motions in his combos, which in Noel's case are ESSENTIAL to his game play
he cant use his slash in the middle of a combo if thats wat your saying, wasnt sure, but the only reason it looked like he did in this vid was because the combo had ended ragna didnt imput his command fast enough which left enough time for jin to input his move, as far as recovery jins move takes a VERY long time to recover from if he misses the entire time it takes him to sheath his sword he can be hit, ragnas move i was referring to is his F+D+DF C or Drive which he does and uppercut motion.
I just have a hard time with arakunes and freaking Jins. I dont have to explain why with arakune, but for Jin I just have a hard time getting close, he has a slash for everything plus on hell mode he spams those icycles like a japanese person using Ryu from street fighter. This video helped a little.
Oh god, rounds 2 and 3. Don't tell me he fell for the rapid cancel trick twice. XD That fourth round was so ridiculously one-sided it was almost painful to watch...
@GatlingSmash Kaqn is actually a multiversed player in the AkSys games. He primarily mained Order Sol in GGXX Acore but mained Sol most of the time in Slash. He was usually using any character there is from Millia, Jam, Testament, and such. In BBCS, he uses various dudes and girls. Kaqn
@Saturi BBCS aside, the most popular games he plays are SFIV (C. Viper, sometimes Ryu) and Guilty Gear (Order Sol). His gameplay videos of other games are rare, so it's hard to say which ones he plays seriously beside these.
With the exception of arakune, I agree with the bit about jin, and nu (and while im at it, ill add tager and noel =p) pretty much any noob can use them and piss the hell out of any veteran who uses the other characters.
@nnecron Possibly just you... Well, I think it's just a matter of design and your age... I think I'm more personally going to say you're just an older guy looking at how difficult things were to pull off back then compared to now where things look a little easier or more fluid... We can look at old mario and new mario and, me and possibly you, can say old mario was harder/seems more impressive than new mario simply because that's what we grew up with, but they have their impressive feats..
@nnecron Oh, when I meant age, I meant our time spent at gaming.. age? Basically the same thing you said.. I was trying to imply that we just played GG first so we like it better.. same with the COD franchise.. I played the earlier COD's and I like them a million times better simply because I grew with that difficulty and play style rather than today's COD's which seem rather meh... anyways.. Have a nice day.. :PP
I have a little translation problem. When Jin did that big air slash and was about to do an air combo at the beginning, he said this in Japanese "Cruketemehyo!" Can you translate that?
@Gerjoker94 Seeing as I play both jin and ragna, i can easily say ragna is not a overpowered character. easy to read and his moves leave him open, not to mention he has low health.
@iShootYouDont Nooo Ragna is not overpowerd a 9 Hit combo make over 3000 damage his Range is high and whn u at the end of the map u can do nothing with Ragnas instant attack spamming -.-
@airplayY Noel ''takes'' skill if the opponent isn't a scrub, buddy. If a Noel D spammer is beating you, it's your own fault, and if she's not beating you, you should know better than to claim it doesn't take skill.
@Gerjoker94every character can spam, jin has 9 hit combos that reach over 3k, heck he has a 4 hit combo that reaches 2.4k no heat. ragna is not overpowered, i'm telling you. Try playing with him.
I see myself comparing my play to Kaqn all the time, and I always say damn I could be that good... but naw, you need superb reflexes and quick thinking to play in high level competition. Take a look at 1:50, Kaqn knew that burst was coming so he set up an easy combo, rapid canceled just as he saw the burst, then took the win all the same.
she's really easy to block and punish though, not to mention her damage output is really low. You want ANNOYING? fight arakune on Hell mode, or find someone who can REALLY use him. annoying little prat, really hard to hit. Or a Bang FRKZ spammer >.>
@KeikunFPSPinoy Yeah, he's probably the best competetive Ragna in Japan. It might sound overexaggerated, but it's really not. Takes some outstanding skill to become a famous player by maining one of the more common characters. ..Of course, he was known before from other games as well, but anyways. :P
Holy shit, rapid cancelling to block a burst ON REACTION. Kaqn must have two brains.
You know what this game would be like if it were like a fighting shonen?
''The Wheel Of Fate Is Turning! Rebel 1! Action!''
*cue three episode flashback*
They see me Ice Car, they bitchin'. Complain' because they hatin' on mah ride.
This game was much slower compared to Central Fiction.
The Lamer Gamer I think it’s because the animations in the newer ones are Snappier, while in this it seems there’s a longer pause after each hit; Probably to give off a sense of momentum and Impact.
kaqn was a monsterrr. but still gotta give props to ren, like the attempt at a double grab at 0:52
I still love that video. Thanks to that one, I got into fighting games
kaqn is my BB idol, even if i could pull off the combos he does consistently it will take half my life to develop such fast thinking and use them effectively in matches. he read that jin like a children's book
That Ragna was psychic he saw both bursts coming
Man, Burst seems so underpowered in CT. The armor on it gives the opponent time to react and RC to block it.
Kaqn, beasting as usual. That Jin was jst askin 2 get killed, so many 623 dp's coming from him
only the start up frames but u have to take into effect that he has so many openings, he needed at least one invincible move, just like Ragnas uppercut slash
Noel is definitely a "pick up and play"-character. Of course, actually learning her is a whole different thing.
Ultimate Brother ShowDown!!!
@rikibolz your talking about stark right
2:35
Kaqn. So awesome that Barrier Burst merely causes him to wonder if someone left a window open.
Nice Ragna, learned quite a bit from him
I find a person knowing how to use arakune is harder then a cpu using Arakune.
I really didn't realize that, until I see this video it does looks like Halibel
@airplayY
Well Noel's bread and butter combos are actually not your standard fare and I think Jin has an easier learning curve to learning his combos than she does, seeing as he doesn't have any throw cancel motions in his combos, which in Noel's case are ESSENTIAL to his game play
lmao great engrish to the announcer
he cant use his slash in the middle of a combo if thats wat your saying, wasnt sure, but the only reason it looked like he did in this vid was because the combo had ended ragna didnt imput his command fast enough which left enough time for jin to input his move, as far as recovery jins move takes a VERY long time to recover from if he misses the entire time it takes him to sheath his sword he can be hit, ragnas move i was referring to is his F+D+DF C or Drive which he does and uppercut motion.
love how jin just randomly calls him an idiot (baka) lol, "omg we are fighting your an idiot."
Jin's got too much life...
I just have a hard time with arakunes and freaking Jins. I dont have to explain why with arakune, but for Jin I just have a hard time getting close, he has a slash for everything plus on hell mode he spams those icycles like a japanese person using Ryu from street fighter. This video helped a little.
lol, I like the way you spelled it, he really does sound that way!
Better than strive
@Lseelba can't you tell by the HUB design?
@GatlingSmash What other games does he play ?
Kaqn is fucking unstoppable.
I love watching these matches. Got mad respect for Kaqn.
jeez wats with jins voice actor it sounds like hes puking each time he gets hit
Kaqn was fucking beast in Rebel 3.
@Light77900 I think you need to use the grab command yourself at the exact time your getting grabed. Can someone else confirm this?
0:56 and on was so sweet
would've been such a slap in the face for Ren to see Kaqn win after that
It's probably playing as Sol that set up Kaqn for playing as Ragna. Both characters have fairly similar play styles.
as usual Kaqn is a beast with ragna
i love this song it is one of the best themes ever
what are you talking about? Most of their matches are fairly close from what I've seen.
@Saturi he plays hakumen as well ;)
Oh god, rounds 2 and 3. Don't tell me he fell for the rapid cancel trick twice. XD
That fourth round was so ridiculously one-sided it was almost painful to watch...
Watch this vid? >_> I mean, this guy only shut down Jin on a billion different levels.
>.> i just realised that ragna looks like halibel from bleach in that costume
Man I miss when Jin's air combos didn't consist of fiddling with a bunch of (9)2C's. That shit drives me insane.
Kaqn
i miss this game
@Saturi
BBCS aside, the most popular games he plays are SFIV (C.
Is this CT or CS?
I wish there was some cool comentating to go with it... like the Arcade Infinity vids.
Do people still play calamity trigger on the xbox 360 online ? in europe btw =]
@nnecron Possibly just you... Well, I think it's just a matter of design and your age...
I think I'm more personally going to say you're just an older guy looking at how difficult things were to pull off back then compared to now where things look a little easier or more fluid... this costume of ragna reminds me of ichigos inner hollow, white and black GO RAGNA!!! :P
im guessing by you including noel and tagar you probably arent a veteran.
@Lseelba
CT. I always write BlazBlue CS in CS videos instead of simply BlazBlue, so you'll be able to tell the difference by reading the title. :P
ragna's appearance makes me think of harribel from bleach x)
Wow seeing this makes me miss Jin's jB and 5D.
hehe gotta love watching DP spammers get beat. Even if the DP spammer is one of the best Jins, next to Buppa hehe
2:17 - 2:23 = Beautiful
does he use a fighting stick?
Yeah easy to avoid, but when you try to close in as he does the projectiles he slashes. Is a bitch man!
A+B+C+D=Burst??? sorry, rookie here, btw, how do you counter a throw(grab)?????
Moar dp from Jin plz
In case you didn't know, Arakune's pretty damn hard to master.
:PP
ne one know effective ways of dealing with jin with ragna -.-
V13 and Arakune = Most annoying for me. I don't care about Noel cause Next to Carl Clover she is the hardest to use.
great game man thanks
I have a little translation problem. When Jin did that big air slash and was about to do an air combo at the beginning, he said this in Japanese "Cruketemehyo!" Can you translate that?
2:38 Did he just say "orgy"?
Maybe it's because I've also seen him use Order-Sol at times.
@Gerjoker94 Seeing as I play both jin and ragna, i can easily say ragna is not a overpowered character. easy to read and his moves leave him open, not to mention he has low health.
@XiahouYuan111 It means something like "naive", I think. Yes I am responding to a 1 month old post.
i can't even pull a 5combo off ragna...
and buppa lost to BLEED whom Kaqn dispatched. :X
Lose some, win some. =)
@Lseelba sorry...i meant HUD...
@iShootYouDont Nooo Ragna is not overpowerd a 9 Hit combo make over 3000 damage his Range is high and whn u at the end of the map u can do nothing with Ragnas instant attack spamming -.-
His projectile is total crap and easy to avoid.
nice fight
Wow, beast ragna
Maybe you should follow that advice and comment on the game and not other peoples references.
@airplayY Noel ''takes'' skill if the opponent isn't a scrub, buddy.
If a Noel D spammer is beating you, it's your own fault, and if she's not beating you, you should know better than to claim it doesn't take skill.
2:07 DAT KICK'S PRIORITY O_O
@Gerjoker94every character can spam, jin has 9 hit combos that reach over 3k, heck he has a 4 hit combo that reaches 2.4k no heat. ragna is not overpowered, i'm telling you. Try playing with him.
you mean ragna
lol, I found that out yesterday when I beat her story mode =\, oh well, still funny
@RemnantLol It's all good, but I found out like 1 day after I posted that comment :P
Thanks anyways though.
I see myself comparing my play to Kaqn all the time, and I always say damn I could be that good... but naw, you need superb reflexes and quick thinking to play in high level competition.

Or a Bang FRKZ spammer >.>
@iShootYouDont woow Ragna to play is not difficult hes a Noobchar with easly Combos and High damage hes fast and have a good range= Overpowerd -.-
@BadGuy45
I'm aware of that, but thanks anyways! :P He's still got his clear maiins, just like Buppa even though they pla varios ones.
@KeikunFPSPinoy
Yeah, he's probably the best competetive Ragna in Japan. It might sound overexaggerated, but it's really not. Takes some outstanding skill to become a famous player by maining one of the more common characters.
..Of course, he was known before from other games as well, but anyways. :P
God, I hate Ragna's 5B so much/
LOL!
HADOUKEN
Rakaqna.
this is a great match. alot of good combos i see from jin ^_^
@Xninja2456 expect more and nothing less from kaqn
Ren was playing like shit. Sorry, but it was pretty bad.
whats your psn
lol Raqn
LOL yeah he does. Haha
