    My points.
    1. Beep is too loud and cannot be muted or it's volume cannot be lowered.
    2. Button's click feels loud and cheap. For the price, they could provide premium silicon membrane buttons with backlight.
    3. Only one pencil type soldering iron type is available. Since this is a removable item, they could provide tweezer type iron also, at least as a seperately purchased add on. That would be very useful for SMD work.
    4. Tips are very similar to Hakko 900 M - T, but slightly longer. I don't know if they are a direct fit. Would have been better if they are.
    5. Display is detailed and clean. Easy to read and well laid out.
    6. Unit is very compact for the power and features. (It is a unit with blower + iron that can be used at the same time). Looks very nice too. Plastic quality is good.
    7. Tips and Nozzles are hard to find in stock.
    Overall a good purchase, even though the price is on higher side.

      Thanks, Dileesh for your inputs.
      I also found the points you mentioned (1 & 2) a bit minus as it is not good in silent lab environment.

    Hey Great review! Very thorough! One question I have is how does one turn off the beeping sound (if it's even possible...)

    • @PallavAggarwal
      @PallavAggarwal  Год назад

      Not sure about that. See settings for that option.

      @@PallavAggarwal Yeah I'm pretty sure there is no setting for it, it's a real shame, they could have included one, I guess I will need to desolder the buzzer.

      Yesh it's a shame. They should have given a provision. I faced issue while using iron at night st my home lab :)

    There is a company that makes these soldering stations for Toauto, Lytool and Bakon. This looks exactly like the Toauto ds882 station.

    Nice explanation. price cost is little more i think.. what about when power goes and come, soldering iron / blower is keep ON or manually need to ON?

    • @PallavAggarwal
      @PallavAggarwal  3 года назад +1

      1. If the power goes off, the station will come up in standby mode, the soldering guy needs to start again.
      2. Key beep cannot be put OFF :(

      I don't have experience with YIHUA 995D, but you would want to compare the features which are important for you and watch some review videos.
