Good morning. I love the walking around and showing you do for us all. I stay subscribed. Also very happy to see you well, vibrant & healthy. Family is well, God Bless.
The weather looks amazing so is the price! Wish we would have made it! It’s way better than the Big Cities! It looks so tranquil! I appreciate you Cartess! You are a real one! The streets are so tidy! Happy to see you out and about! The Pastries here in Mexico I’ve yet to try maybe one day! Very solid content! 🙏🏼💯
@Belltown Daisy appreciate the heads up because I’ve never experienced that type of HOT 🥵 I heard the mosquito 🦟 are out of control? Other than those things Merida looks and sounds amazing 😉 smart to go out and about either Early in the day or later in the evening! I hope to get to Merida! Thank you for your reply!
Mosquitos ain't too bad ... Depends where you're at. THere is a rainy season here and there will tend to be more during that time. I will spray OFF on when I eat at outdoor restaurants at night and wear socks so my ankles don't get bit lol.
Depends what areas you're looking in. You don't have to pay that much at all. Plus the search engines might be figuring you're searching from the US and may not show you the real local prices. You don't have to pay $800/mo for 3 bedrooms. I promise u.
Thanks for the great content! What would it cost to buy a 3BR/2BA house in a "nicer" neighborhood? I'd love to see tours of some rentals and houses for sale, just to get an idea of what you get for your money.
Depends... Everyone's tastes are different... You can find nice 3br/2ba in 'nicer' neighborhoods for $400-$800 (the range is low to high based on what you want and based on your definition of nice). A great place to start searching is on Facebook marketplace to see what you can get. I'm currently in a 2br/2 1/2 ba for about $600/mo, but it's in an expensive/upscale area (same thing could be had elsewhere for probably about $400 US)
These areas I like ... but it depends on the immediate area within these 'colonias/neighborhoods' ... Montes de Ame, Chuburna, Benito Juarez, Colonia Mexico, Colonia Maya, parts of Altabrisa
I have to think that might be the secret in many Mexican Cities (or towns) - just get out and walk around the areas you might be interested in ? - - Then word of mouth too I've heard is a good method if you can speak Spanish or know someone who can for you. - - I would bet long term less expensive leases can be had - if - your willing to spend a few dollars to fix and improve the property to some extent ? = $ will talk in some cases - I strongly suspect. --?--
Thanks for sharing

The prices seems to be increasing drastically. I'm trying to relocate to Merida & rental prices are $800+ USD for 3 bedrooms

Hi do they have Spanish/English speaking churches nearby?
Spanish yes. English I'm not 100% certain but have heard they do by other foreigners.
@@MoveAbroadandThrive Thank you.
How do you get an Uber driver?
Download the 'Uber' app to your phone and setup an account and order.
Wish I had your number to help my find and apartment in Merida Mexico.

Is it alot of red tap for foreigners to buy real estate there?
From what I hear, it's a pretty straightforward process. May take a minute because things move much slower here but it's not too challenging.
@Belltown Daisy thanks.
@@MoveAbroadandThrive thanks
@Belltown Daisy I've read it floods in centro. Could that be why there's so many sellers?
