Emma is a biological woman, she was not misgendered.
Perhaps she prefers they/them pronouns, but she was most definitely not misgendered.

@@themurrrrlove your talking about sex. Their gender is non binary and that can usually correlate with they them pronouns which they prefer.
It’s disrespectful and is indeed misgendering them.

Biological sex is not the same as gender. @@themurrrr You can say their biology is female, no one argues with that. But calling them a woman is not right.

I do relate to her , I like having long hair but when my hair got very long , I felt pressured to keep to fit into something I wasn’t sure to was really what I was , then when I chopped my I have pissed but was at the same kind of happy to know that I wasn’t dependent on how people wanted me to look like.

I do not feel pressured to call people their preferred pronouns. You were born a noun based on your gender at the time of conception. I won't apologize for the truth I stand on, nor allow myself to be criticized for it. Societies values should never be watered down with these types of issues. I will never intimidate a person for their live style provided it does not affect the well-being or the lives of children. However, I will not bow down to that which is abnormal. I think this lady is a great actress and prefect for the part she is portraying. She brings a believability to her character that makes you feel her emotions and desire to see her become Queen of the Iron Thorne.

I was born in a time where you were allowed to be different, not have to conform to the norm, but that didn’t mean you suddenly had a different gender. It had nothing to do with gender and everything to do with personality. There was no label for you. You were still you and you were allowed to be you.
Being a woman is not a constraint, it’s not some small box you have to fit in.
Being a woman is not a label, it is biology, it is fact.
One day people will look back on this gender crisis period and do an analysis on why delusion took over.

    • @BlancheNeigefan
      @BlancheNeigefan 8 дней назад +2

I understand that you may be genuinely confused by these changes rather than hostile, so I'd like to provide some context comparing the experiences of people who insist on identifying as trans with those you describe as simply "not conforming to the norm" in the past. You do not specify when you grew up, but I assume this past is relatively recent.
      1) Although they have been mentioned for a long time, we know that in the recent past (1970s/1980s/1990s), trans people diagnosed with gender identity disorder opposed the abusive aversion therapies of the time, and homeless "gender-deviant" teens were often kicked out and homeless, leading to movements like STAR. Trans people also had to oppose legal discrimination, including the trans panic defense for murder (still in use) and arrests for "cross-dressing" (continued in the US until 2002). Their identities, relationships, and reputations were often deemed "fake" due to societal fixation on their biology (ie body parts that strangers would never see), for instance in fiction and news media. For these reasons, these people were often loudly "trans", whether they were the ones using the word to claim rights or the phrase was imposed on them by others.
      2) Meanwhile, you mentioned that others were allowed to be different without repercussions (I am glad but surprised if they were spared insults, discrimination, violence and even condescending utterances about "tomboys" and "in touch with their feminine side"). Because they did not openly speak of having a different gender, you think that the difference only had to do with their personalities and had no links with gender. You seem to think that these people are somehow more "reasonable" and accepting of biology. You seem to believe that unlike trans people, these people do not promote gender stereotypes (like the belief that men have to be manly and women have to be feminine)
Do you think these two groups-the trans individuals facing severe challenges and the non-conforming but accepted individuals-are the same? Could it be that your understanding of trans issues is influenced by your experience, which is limited to the latter group?
Some argue that "real trans people" experience intense dysphoria and need to come out as either a manly man or a feminine woman. I understand how this simplistic version of their lives probably makes you feel that they reinforce gender stereotypes. However, this is not accurate to the experience of many trans people. Trans people do not support gender stereotypes more than anyone else. They do not deny biology (if they were unaware of their differences, they would not call thesmelves "trans") but they feel their body or social role doesn't fit their internal identity. This doesn't mean they conform to stereotypes; a trans woman might enjoy traditionally masculine activities while still identifying as a woman. Some do not. Some trans people choose to alter their bodies. Some do not. This may not make sense to you, because you never felt like them. But it makes sense to them, which is all that matters.
So what is the difference between the two categories you mention, overtly trans people and people who are simply different? Trans people in category 1 are visibly trans and often fight for their rights. People in category 2 may or may not be trans but do not face the same level of oppression. They are not necessarily more rational. They simply do not need to use the word "trans" to describe their experience to you. Maybe they are not trans. Or maybe they are fine hiding it. Or maybe they do not need to think about it because they are happy with their lives and rights. In category 2, it does not serve them.
But now, thanks to the people in the first category, those who fit into category 2 may recognize themselves as trans thanks to greater visibility and acceptance. The word is not reserved only to those who most needed or feared it. So more people have started using it about themselves and you have noticed the change. I understand that this might feel puzzling, but increased visibility helps others feel comfortable being themselves. This is a good thing and it does not need to affect your life. You get to still be a nonconformist. You do not need to be trans because of it. But some people do need the word "trans" and the idea that comes with it. And that's okay.

Oh, I never said I was confused or even puzzled.
      I am disappointed.
I am very much informed about topics such as gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, autogynephilia, social contagion and all such matters.
I love how you assume that I am simply ignorant or misinformed about all sorts, instead of seeing that I have a different point of view.
My post was pretty short, yet you were able to make all manner of assumptions from it.
I ESPECIALLY loved the US history you decided to expose…. As if that is the whole of the world, as if surely, I must be an American like all of internet.
My knowledge of history goes further than the borders of USA or the measly 1970s.
I will always be against chemical castration of children and people making drastic permanent changes to their lives due to a social contagion. Mental health issues are an ever evolving mystery mankind will always struggle to understand as the brain remains the most complex organ we posses.
But preach on. This contagion too will pass and then you too will finally understand what I meant.
Thank you for your condescending thesis.
Frankly, I don’t know why I even bothered to answer, since clearly you are more invested in what YOU have to say.
Go argue with Buck, Blaire or Marcus. Maybe they have the patience and stamina to argue with you.
And yes, I am subscribed to all three.

@@themurrrr I hoped that you were kind and did not perceive the difference between your experience and mine. I tried to "bridge the gap" as people like me are so often asked to do. I refered to facts from the 1970s to the 2000s because you mentioned your childhood and assumed you were American (unlike me) because this is a US produced show and that is most of the audience. Regardless of your nationality, I did my best to argue on the basis of the history of a culturally hegemonic superpower whose policies have global relevance. You have proven yourself needlessly hostile to strangers and expect me to answer your dismissive, factless comment on a US produced show with a comprehensive history of the world. I understand how imagining the "castration" of imaginary children and subscribing to pseudo scientific and perverted theories such as autogynOphilia allows you to justify your hatred for actual transgender and non binary people like Emma Darcy, including children. I hoped you were kind, but a kind person would not lie about the near-universally accepted WHO backed transition medical protocol or repeat a pseudoscientific theory that accuses all lesbian trans women of being sex predators. You are the sort of person I was scared of as a child. Your unchecked belief and your hatred genuinely ruin lives.
