I am so impressed by the immediate group debriefing. I hope they also have counselors available later.
It's not easy seeing someone die in your care; especially, when you've only had first aid/cpr training. I've experienced a suicide at my work and it was very difficult for me to comprehend being the first person with them and trying my best to help. It was way beyond the scope of my training, so I can't imagine how hard it is for actual trained professionals to handle these events.
So thankful for the extraordinary care given by these professionals. Bless them all ❤❤❤

When the aid asked if that sweet old lady was going to keep fighting cancer, the look on her face broke my heart. She looked so tired, and not entirely sure if she wanted to keep fighting, and then at the end... I can't even imagine the pain of her husband's loss for as long as they've been together. I see that and think about my own parents who are coming up on 37 years being together and 36 years of marriage, and I'm happy they're in relatively good health and spirits, but I worry when the day comes when either of them pass. Hold your loved ones close and enjoy the time you have.

How many beds does the average UK hospital have? They need more beds. Or, yes, more hospitals.
remind me to NEVER go to England and get sick or hurt! I can't imagine this horrible care. These poor EMT's and paramedics go above and beyond care just to have the hospital slam the door in their faces! That is "IF" you even get an ambulance. Watching these shows I have seen several patients pass away just because they could not get to them in time. Why don't they have more people and ambulances? In USA we get Ambulance 5-20 min max. No waiting to get in but once in you will wait unless you are about to die or lose a limb and it may cost your home, cars, live savings and anything else you might own. The average cost of just transport, with little to no care, in ambulance in USA is $3,000.
Wow this is awful…is this what National Health is like all the time. I am in the USA we have a number of hospitals and many have private insurance but one does not have to wait for hours to get care especially if it’s urgent.
It happens here in U.S. , rural areas take forever for care even after you get to hospital by ambulance, I've been ER at times waiting for nurses or doctor to help me. Firsthing they do is give you something to knock you out before I could tell them no dont do that, they didn't figure out what's wrong with me. ER nurse knocked me out, for hours before I came to. Never going to that hospital again. Scary waking up an have no idea why I got knocked out. My son in law came made big stink when he found me on gurney knocked out in hall ,I wasn't in the ER anymore. Thank the lord he found me.

I have taken my aunt to ER in AZ with her 02 sat under 75 and we had to wait for 7 hrs. to be seen. It happens every where.
Two weeks before my Mum passed away she was at ER two times and waited 12 hours each time .she had Sepsis . They did not take care of her the first time with it and it took her home to be with the Lord . I miss her everyday . She was my Mum but she was my best friend and always took the time to call and take me to doctors and she was 84 Bless her
They use injectable Narcan? We have nasal spray Narcan here in the US. Where I live, people are being urged to carry it to help save a life of anyone you meet who's overdosed.

Probably at the same time they decide anyone with any injury that was caused by their own actions gets less attention than a “person in true need”. 🙄

Maybe no one has told you, but addiction was found to be a disease in the 1950’s. They don’t want to act this way; they are ill. Of course they need help to quit using ( alcohol or other drugs) and then continue to stay away from their drug of choice. Pray for them.

@@Dylanesque You seem blissfully unaware that in the US it is a federal crime to deny care based on ability to pay. And it was municipal hospitals that were accused of patient dumping. Check medical outcomes between the UK and US... we're much better for heart disease, cancers like childhood leukemia. You cannot defend a system that leaves people waiting hours for an ambulance and hours sitting in an ambulance waiting to get into an ER. You can't. Canada as a health care system much like yours, if it's so good how come so many Canadians come to US hospitals for treatment?

And the reason US citizens buy drugs in Canada is because we have ridiculous laws and Canada as limited torts. Also the drugs were developed in the US, with an average cost in research, development and licensing of $3-5 billion dollars. You're the one who sounds ignorant because you certainly know nothing about the subject nor can you defend what I said about waiting hours for an ambulance and then a hour more in the parking lot of a hospital. Almost 30% of the ambulances for the entire 5 million people were sitting for an hour, waiting to unload. The woman with cancer had to sit in the parking lot for 2 HOURS before she could get into the hospital. ANd you think that's a 'gift to the people'? Are you serious?
