Bell Tree

This bell tree is virtually a new musical instrument. Perfect for playing sound effects and melodies alike. The bell tree has a beautiful wooden carrying handle for transportation and an aluminium stand/base for easy positioning. Used by Emil Richards in the Hollywood Film Studios.

In in the process of mapping a custom drum kit in music software for the first time, and I wanted to conform to the MIDI standard. C5 is supposed to be "bell tree" and I had no idea of what it was. What a fascinating instrument, although I'm not sure how I could possibly sum this up in just one sound sample when so much of its most interesting character is a result of the interacting harmonics!
