You will absolutely love that seat. Once you have a backrest, you will feel the difference in comfort. Blackjack is looking better already. I'm following and I'm rootin fer ya.
I had a road sofa on my 2022 Road Glide. Hardest seat I ever sat on! I sold it after a few thousand miles. Corbin is a thousand times more comfortable. I look forward to your thoughts on the road sofa after a few long rides. Love your channel!
Great seat! I order mine 3 weeks ago and its being built now. I got the extended reach per their recommendation for over 6 footers. Look forward to it. Once you have a backrest you'll never go back👍best thing on long rides
Black Jack is coming together so nice!!! Love the new seat 💺dare I say it rivals most cvo seats. Looks amazing and I’m sure so comfortable. I love the direction you’re going with this build i’m planning on getting a street glide all blacked out but other than that difference you and I are spot on on this build. I want something that has a little bit more performance than stock, but definitely touring oriented and cosmetically upgraded so needless to say you’ve got me hooked on this build. I’m with you all the way brother. Great job so far. 🤙🏽😎
Thank you and really appreciate all your videos, i just bought 2024 Road Glide Whiskey Fire. Now i have lots idea for my new bike. Again thanks man, may be we meet sometime at the road
I also do the passenger peg ride position when riding, you can sit like that for a while, you can also lean forward with your feet on the back pegs and stretch your back. That plus highway pegs and you get a lot of positions when riding long distance.
When I was younger, I said that I’d never use a backrest. Now I won’t leave home without it. That seat looks awesome. Looks like you need an extended brake pedal. I’m 6’3” and I run a Softbrake pedal. Check it out. Peace out…..
Bikes looking great John! I went with the Mustang Deluxe Extended reach. Rode mine 1100 miles from Colorado to Az Bike week last Tuesday. The seat is amazing. Saddlemen looks beautiful too.
@@IveAlreadyWonI can only speak for myself. I’ve used Harley’s Tall boy, Saddlemen road sofa and this Mustang. The Mustang is by far the best seat for me and my long rides. I think I was on it for maybe an hour before i felt like it was broke in. The ornery one does a full review and factory tour. Check it out
@@IveAlreadyWon The mustang deluxe is a fantastic seat. I tried a harley Tallboy and a Saddlemen road sofa for 3,000 miles each. The Tallboy sitting position was ideal but the cushioning was not. The Saddlemen was beautiful to look at but after almost 3,000 miles still gave me tail bone and back pain. I had a rider back rest for both of those seats. The mustang felt immensely better even after a few hundred miles. Now each time I sit in my bike, it feels like it’s molded to me.
I have the road sofa also and love it... it raised me up a couple inches so I had to get a taller windshield. That seat only gets better the more you use it. Takes at least 1000 miles to start wearing in.. spend that much you should of got the heated seat option..great choice!
I have the same seat. Only regret I didn’t get the one with a backrest. I also got the extended reach. To be honest I hated it at first. It was hard as a rock. After about 1500 miles it finally broke in. I love it now. Looks awesome John.
Love the seat , I also have the same , like others I did not get the back rest version , I might sell mine and up grade with one with back rest , but the seat was one of my best upgrades for sure comfort , thanks for sharing your build
I had the same seat on my road king, it was a love hate relationship. The workmanship and seating position was top notch. The problem I had was I believe was the jell in the seat. I have Khrome work’s header pipe and tuned. Anything over 75 degrees my butt and boys would get very warm. Also have wind deflectors behind the heads. I loved the riding position keeps you planted, I hated the heat. Good luck, keep up the Great Job 👍😎
Looks awesome... I love your tail light set up and I'm getting the same. Custom Dynamics is awesome to work with. Kim even answers emails on saturdays and sundays!
Man she looks so comfortable lol. My street glide had the 2lane life carbon with the tuck and roll gripper and I love that seat so much. I just got a 2011 road glide and it has the saddlemen lattice stick and it's super comfy. I myself prefer the step up tucking roll. But it's your bike lol and I think the seat looks great on there. Remember you're not getting any younger either😂
That’s a sweet seat. I compared my father n laws 24 saddlebags to my previous model. Open the lid and see how the entire thing will flex. Definitely not as tough/thick as previous. Time will tell if it matters, just something I noticed.
it's a beautiful saddle! I think they should have found of a way to taper the rear portion of the seat so it would be better contoured to the bike fender, instead of sticking up like a mushroom.
love my road sofa, but like said from some comments already it does take about 500-1000 miles to soften up some. Looking forward to the changes coming for Blackjack and for the upcoming trip you have planned later. Going to be awesome.
Hey John. Thank you so much for the effort you put in this channel and the joy you bring to us. I am following every episode and not only love the motorcycle content, I also like your style and the nice guy you are ;-) Black Jack ist slowly developing to a beauty, congrats for your choice. In last episode I´ve been astonished that these custom dynamics rear light are really legal in the US. Not because of the looks - they are beautiful - but because of the huge repositioning from the stock lights. These custom dynamics lights seem to be minimum 2 to 3 inches mor e to the inside of the bike and I think they are not really directly visible if you have an angle mofe than 30-40° degrees from the backside. From the side they should be even invisible. You are really lucky if there is no problem in the US with these, in Europe they wouldnt be legal, I am pretty sure. Maybe the are so bright to compensate this fact a little bit ;-) I hope you dont get in any traffic situation where this can be a disadvantage for you. As you always say, safety ist the most important thing on a motorcycle. We dont want you to get hurt my friend, thats all!!! :-D Hope you have an wonderful time with this bike and I cant wait to see more coming. Best greetings from Europe...Norbert
I remember Mad Max starting out as a mild build also. Only going to be a stage 2 focused on touring and doing over 20k miles with lots of trips planned. This Harley got involved and of course why say no. Seems like the same thing again but this time it may take longer because of parts release dates. Still fun to watch the process.
I’ve got one love it wish I had the Saddlemen backrest but the one I got is comfey, also it makes you feel like you’re one with the bike especially when you get on it.
Those Custom Dynamics filler lights pose a real safety issue in that they cannot be seen very well from the side at night. Love the seat as Saddleman products are the benchmark for the seat industry.
Hey John looks like your going for comfort on this bike when age kicks in it sucks all of a sudden you feel aches and pains all over your body ... Time nor Tide stands still for no man, cheers brother beautiful bike im happy you didnt get white, black just does it
I have a Road Sofa and it raises me and makes me feel like the handlebars are lower. I only use road sofa when wife comes for a day ride like to the jersey shore or farther. I'm also in north jersey so u know the ride. Keep doing what you doing bro😎👍
I hate how it lifts me up. it changes the entire ride. was the worst thousand dollars i ever wasted my money on. I have the honecomb stitching in red with the backrest. Sadly not many seats out there with a backrest to purchase. just going to have a guy i know do his thing just using the pan of the oem seat.
I was looking forward to meeting you and Steve at Bikers and Breakfast yesterday. Maybe you got there before or after me. The lighting upgrade looks amazing. Not sure I can get away with it on the CVO. There was someone there yesterday with a 2024 Black RG. Really beautiful bike!
I run a Saddlemen Road Sofa with Backrest on my 21 RGS. Love it. Sits me up a bit which stopped my knee pain. Great seat. I also run a Soft Brake + 2 rear brake pedal, it's a game changer.
I have same similar bike, black and chrome 2023 Road Glide Standard and I have Mustang Touring seat with backrest because I fractured my 2 lowest vertebrae’s and fractured my pelvis all the way around it from a drunk driver 38 years ago therefore my lower back can hurt severely on longer trips and the backrest saves me. Bike is already looking great John.
SEAT IS VERY NICE. I CAN IMAGINE THAT BACK OAD WOULD MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR BACK ON VERY LONG TRIPS. ONE THING. I THINK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COOL IF THEY MADE THE BACK PAD FOLDABLE. WHERE IT COULD FOLD BACK FLAT ONTO THE PASSENGER SEAT WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO USE IT OR KEEP BUMPING IT WHEN YOU CET ON IT. AS AWLAYS ANOTHER GREAT VID 👍🏾
Had a road sofa on my last bike, wasnt my favorite but it did the job. Put over 12k on it, personally liked the corbin i had before better. Im very impressed with the stock 24 seat, thinking i may just have alittle extra padding added to it and keep it.
I’m on the fence between waiting for aftermarket options or installing the 511 SE cam. It will be interesting to see what you and the MoCo do for the mild build this spring.
A backrest!!... there goes your abs, time to fit in with the "over 50 and flabby" crowd... 🤣😂 My current bike came with an aftermarket seat & backrest. I've never once used the backrest or even popped it in. You've inspired me to maybe try it out. The Road Sofa looks great, I'm sure its going to be ultimate comfort for touring.
Hopefully Dave has you going with a CR483. That thing popped off the chart compared to the other mid range cams. Just did one myself. 114, 55mm throttle body, polished manifold, 6 2 injectors, Khromewerks headpipe with their slipons, louvered baffle. 126hp/ 139tq
I ordered the same seat, but the extended version as I hate sitting up on the tank even though we're the same height. Mine is still being built, not sure how you got yours so fast, pays to have friends 🤣. My first time with a backrest, but everyone says once you have one you won't go back. Can't wait for mine to come in! It just went to sewing but I'm hoping to get it before the 20th as I have a big ride that weekend. Loving the videos!
Bike looks awesome!! Love the seat!! I'm looking into getting a Saddleman seat for my Fat Boy also. I like the one I have, it looks sleek and flows great with the lines of my bike, but I love to RIDE FAR!! Lol. So I'm going to have to upgrade i think , and Saddleman is my choice. I still put on a good 4000 - 5000 miles a season, with the Harley Badlander Seat I have, but a better one i know I will definitely put on more miles. Plus living up here in Massachusetts, the weather doesn't always cooperate. I ride a lot after I get out of work, through the country roads and out to the Cape because the traffic is not so bad during the week . Keep up the great work and ride safe 💯🤘🏻
Looks good John. I was gonna get a saddleman sdc seat but the guys at the store I get my parts from told me saddleman also makes lucky daves seats same foam and gel padding and it was cheaper so I went with the lucky daves seat. Good video 🤘💀🤘
Love my road sofa. I’ve put 17k miles on it so far. Did you get the extended reach? I’m 5’10 and I went with the extended reach. I love that it moves me back 2 inches.
Was lucky enough to get. Road sofa barely used some guy got it and upgraded to 24 for more than half price. Testing it next week on my ride from FL to NC/TN. Should be doing 1800-2000 miles. So should break it in nicely.
That was me!
Black Jack! I had a notion of that name as soon as I seen your new bike. Perfect!
Instead of another performance bagger style build, do a touring beast for the first build. Love the content.
Thank you
That sofa looks more comfortable than my living room couch 😂
It costs as much😂 as
Black Jack! Definitely fits the bike!! Looking forward to the build.
You will absolutely love that seat. Once you have a backrest, you will feel the difference in comfort. Blackjack is looking better already. I'm following and I'm rootin fer ya.
One of my favorite upgrades to any bike is always a Saddlemen seat! You said it perfectly, "premium"
I know right, it’s like getting a brand new pair of boots
Have the same seat on my 2022 SG CVO, absolutely love it. About 8,000 miles on it and no complaints.
Seat looks great. I have a Saddlemen...worth the money!
Looks Great. I have the road sofa on my Indian. So far all good . I only have about 800 miles on it. A well made seat!
Very nice!
I went with a back rest a couple of years ago. Complete game changer for long trips!
Damn that seat looks a lot more comfy. I’ve heard from other RUclipsrs that those backrests are definitely a life saver for your back.
Nice work sir! I like the idea adding a lot of chrome - it's my favorite color. It's gonna look good. Love your videos.
Thanks! 👍
John! I got the exact same seat for my 24 CVO RG. It makes a huge difference for me. Very comfortable.
Right on!
I have the saddlemen roadsofa on my 24' street glide, your 100% right it it awesome, I have about 400 miles on it so not quite broken in yet.
I had a road sofa on my 2022 Road Glide. Hardest seat I ever sat on! I sold it after a few thousand miles. Corbin is a thousand times more comfortable. I look forward to your thoughts on the road sofa after a few long rides. Love your channel!
I use Corbin also. I get them for all my bikes.
I'm a RoadSofa simp, I just finished a 1600 mile round trip and was good to go at the end of every day with that set and backrest.
Great seat! I order mine 3 weeks ago and its being built now. I got the extended reach per their recommendation for over 6 footers. Look forward to it. Once you have a backrest you'll never go back👍best thing on long rides
Great to hear!
I love my road sofa!! I just can’t believe people hate them. I have a red road glide and got it with the red stitching. So nice
I really don’t know anyone who hates them
The Robert Becker Designs seat lox is unmatched.

Thanks my friend I have a step up seat also on its way
The saddle definitely looks comfortable for long touring.
Bike is lookin great. I ordered the same seat. Best seat ever! Can't wait to put it on my 24 road glide.
Looks good John. I sat on a 24 road glide today at the dealership, it felt good. For now I'm keeping my 21 road glide limited.
Seat is really nice. Great choice.
I just got mine. Time to start riding it and breaking it in. Love the look.
As always Brutha- we love to see these bikes of yours come together!
Thank you for making the best seat
