I am a 5th generation Messianic Jew on my Mother's side. My Great Great Grandmother became a believer in Yeshua shortly after her Prussian Jewish family migrated here from Germany in the 1860's. I am at least a 3rd generation Messianic Jew on my Father's side. My Jewish Grandmother was a believer in Yeshua. Her family came from Switzerland. Her sister, my Great Aunt, attended synagogue. My Father grew up in church but currently is far from God. My older sister lived in Israel on a kibbutz in the 1980's. She attends a Messianic Jewish congregation. Thank you for using your gifts to spread the good news that our Messiah Rabbi Yeshua has come.

i am just curious, what made you convert to Christianity if you are of Jewish mother Grandmother?
You, then, after being "a 5th generation Messianic Jew on my Mother's side" are NOT a Jew, NOT part of Am Yisrael. After 3 generations of non-believers on the Maternal side, such a person would be rendered NOT PART OF AM YISRAEL. if you decided to join Am Yisrael you'd have to convert; but if you become interested talk with a Jewish rabbi for the Halacha. By "Am Yisrael" this means "The Nation of Israel" - the so-called Jewish religion is a vital part of, yet only a part of being part of the Nation.

Yes, that was his original Hebrew name.
However we know there is nothing special or mystically important about it.
As many as one in eight males were named Yeshua at that time. One in five women were named Mary, we even see this in the New Testament four or five other Mary's are mentioned.
Then the Jewish Disciples of Jesus chose to write down his story for the world in another language the Greek language and they wrote down his name in Greek over 900 times.
The Greek word they chose was iēsous. Translated as Jesus in English.
They also chose to change the Hebrew word Messiah to the Greek equivalent christos or Christ.
Hebrew: Yeshua hamashiach
Greek: iēsous christos
English: Jesus Christ❤
Spanish: Jesus(Ha-suse) Cristo

I love watching these videos because it helps me understand the faith from a Jewish perspective. You are correct to maintain your customs and history. Make Jesus your King Now! His kingdom can be lived in this world in your heart. It is a "Kingdom of Conscience" lived in our hearts. God has wanted to be the King of Israel from the beginning.
I enjoy your discussion alot I'm actually at the opposite end of the spectrum a christian wanting to return to our Jewish roots back to our Jewish messiah and the teaching of the scriptures
Not many Bible students even notice this because the popular narrative has Israel eventually receiving their prophesied kingdom after the Christians are conveniently taken out of their way to heaven in the pre-trib rapture. Jews that believe in Jesus now would be going in that rapture to heaven because they would be in that group of believers! But what if I told you that none of that is true and either Bible scholars got it wrong by accident or maybe it’s being taught on purpose!
But the truth is that the real Israel (as opposed to the fake Israel we see now) lost their kingdom hope permanently in Acts 28:28-31 KJV, or they would have received it in the first century! And if God still loved Israel, he would have sent his Son back to stop the massacre in 70 AD! But he knew when he was not wanted and he moved on, letting the prophesied wrath fall on the ex-wife who said hell no to his offer of remarriage! Israel’s promises were not postponed - they were canceled! Forever!
That doesn’t mean that the faithful Jews that loved him will be robbed of their reward but salvation at that time (end of Acts) went from one of “all Israel shall be saved” to an individual proposition! There will be a different earthly kingdom (Colossians 1:13 KJV) and everyone that should be there will be there, alive or resurrected from the dead. God knows those that are his from the beginning of the world until that day that he sends his Son back here, Colossians 3:4 KJV. When God let Israel go at the end of Acts, he changed the identity of everyone yet unsaved to simply sinners in need of a Saviour, Colossians 3:11 KJV! There are no more differences between people in the eyes of God! Anyone that decides to accept the FREE gift God is offering today in Ephesians 2:8 & 9 KJV will have a place in the eternal kingdom that Christ will establish on the earth.
We’ve missed this truth for too long! Humans were never created for heaven! God created the EARTH as the place where HE could dwell with his creation! Somehow the story got messed up and people believe in the phony rapture and the fake Israel! Could the Devil have something to do with this debacle?

My grandfather, from my dad's side, was a peacekeeper in Israel during the formation of the State of Israel. His wife, my grandmother, was Jewish, though I never saw her as she died a year before I was born. I know it is happening. There are more Jews who believe in Yeshua today than have ever been in the history of humankind. I was an atheist until my 30s, and I often have thought, if this was a hundred years ago when the Jews were not back in their homeland, would we have believed the Bible? But today, we have zero excuses. Keep up the excellent work of the faith, my brothers and sisters, in HIM.

I admire that Messianic Jews accept for what Jesus came to earth: Salvation of the Jew and the Gentile.
I'm wondering though, how do Messianic Jews reconcile the sacrifices in the Old Testament, with the fulfillment of the Law by Yeshua, where blood sacrifices are no longer required; i.e. on Yom Kippur?
I attend a Messianic congregation, and they do observe Yom Kippur with Jewish traditions. It is done as a time of reflection and prayer, and thanks to God for Yeshua as the complete and final sacrifice and High Priest. Beautiful tradition and fullness of it all in Yeshua!

Through the Grace of God and Faith in the Finished Work of Jesus on The Cross, I was born again in 1979 - Jesus was, IS, and will ALWAYS BE Jewish. ... so then, should I be Jewish? Why not? MY Savior (Messiah), Jesus (Yeshua) IS Jewish! .... Praise God (Adonai) - the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob! Jesus never created denominations. When the messiah comes will he do exactly what Jesus of Nazareth did, that is, focus on the real problem with humanity, the problem of sin. The problem of selfishness that exists just as much in a family living room as it does between International powers squabbling for pride, place, and possessions.
How can there be an "increase of peace" when sin abounds everywhere which is the opposite of peace. Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah and while he was on Earth and after he rose from the dead he started his campaign to end sin on planet Earth and thus fulfill His promise to Abraham to bless all nations by ending sin. Many will resist him, many will cling to their sins. As they cling to their sins they will become the enemy of the King who sits on David's throne.

When he establishes dominance. There will be peace on this Earth and the promise to Abraham will be fulfilled. A man descended from Abraham and David will bless all nations by focusing on the real problem, sin. Then will come the prediction given through the prophet Daniel.

*_"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."_*
There will be a resurrection of the dead.
Because God is not the God of the dead, he is the God of the living and he is called "the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob" these men are currently not with us, but God continued to call himself Abraham's God many centuries after these men had passed away. Because they are not truly gone. They and many others will rise again.
And those who cooperate with Jesus of Nazareth will be honored and gorified along with him. And of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end.
Psalms 2 and many other Hebrew scriptures speak of what will happen to those rebels who disobey the King, remember only Caleb and Joshua, not Moses or anyone else, made it from Egypt to the promised land even though it was just a 13-day walk by caravan trail.
I'm not Jewish but consider myself a Messianic Christian, if that's a thing. i love my Jewish brethren and pray peace and salvation for them all.

That what I love about Jesus Christ, knowing Adam and Eve sin separation all mankind from God... Gave Satan dominion of the whole world and the curse of death predestined all mankind -- eternal separation from God. Praises to God's great mercy, He promise to restore mankind unto Him through Jesus the Christ. By His Blood and sacrifice mankind is atoned from their sins and transgression of death, and restored back into the presence God who is the life giver of All Things! The Bible remind us all of God's merciful plan of redemption and salvation by the revelation of the Bible OT/NT, and God's Compass for us as Christians to live and follow His example in this world of sin and affliction. In His Word: we learn to find Him, trust Him, walk with Him in our daily war with sins (Satan along with his evil demons of wicked angels). With His Promises of Truth we look forward to the future with confidence "that He will never forsake us even until the end of the world." I choose life, I want to live with my Creator and surrender all myself into His Eternal Law (Truth). Note: this is another reason why I love to surrender unto Jesus: He don't care how much gold you have, nor the stature the world recognized you by... God look's into your heart, that He judge who you are.
God created man for His pleasure. We will once again have fellowship with God through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

Due to the recent war, some Christian believers said that SALVATION can not be found in israel😢 It could be outside in israel but when I found this page the "Jews for Jesus" last month it's because of the recent war😂 I was so happy and believed that there's a salvation in israel. When jews and Muslim found Jesus, it made me tears, tears of happiness. Congratulations to all who found Jesus we all saved from the death row of hell.
As a child growing learning all the Bible stories and being a fan of the Jewish people as the chosen people, one day I heard that Jews didn't believe in Jesus. I was like: What??? But they are the first that should believe! This story hasn't end!! Israel!! take your place and go first to the Father❤🙏
If you can look at TRUE peace and what it's outcomes are,then we should also look at the works of the TRUE Church and what its works are.Persecution of Jews by the Church tells us what type of church that is,a false church which is not filled with the Holy Spirit.

God was asked to provide human kings, which he did, but warned us that they will abuse their power. God ruled Israel through the prophets until Saul was named King. God predicted a King from the line of David, to rule forever as king of the Jews and the world. Who can live forever? Jesus died and rose from the dead fulfilling the prophecy. He rules in our hearts. He rules through his "Word." Which will never change forever. Since he is God, he becomes the perfect king, as unchanging as God has been. We can trust his kingship. The whole of his manner is laid out for us to say yes too. He will not tomorrow change his mind about who he is.Israel! Embrace your king! He wants your heart!

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)

Don’t let it what the catholic woman said to you hurt you. Honestly a lot of them have religious spirits. Or It might have been motivated by some totally divorced jealousy over your looks. Peter called these people "exiles" Jews. and he compared them with the gentiles after they started learning Torah. Since at the time, there was no NT writings, because Peter is the one writing this letter to them.
"So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time? ” (Acts1:6 )
On this text, Jesus did not respond them at all, why? because he was not the Messiah Ben David. If he was, he didn't have to deny or ignore the question but he will clarify that to their close followers. He was just a Rabbi. Nothing else. My point here on this text is that his followers were expecting a kingdom to be restored as promised to king David. It never happened in their time. They were not expecting a "church" my friends but a kingdom restored. They thought it was the end generation. As we know, their timeline was incorrect. They didn't have the revelation to know that.
This kingdom was quoted many times in the NT as their only hope. They believed to rule the nations ( this is the original call to Israel since they left Egypt as the firstborn son to God) and be priests to God to the nations. Revelation 5:10 and Revelation 20:1-6
"You are the sons ( Paul mentioned in plural not singular referring to those Jews anointed with the Holy Spirit according to the NT context in Acts 2 ) of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors, saying to Abraham, And all the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring."“God raised up his servant and sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”" (Acts 3:26,27)
Yes, Paul knew that the descendants of Jacob will receive their inheritance not only to receive the Land but also the gift of the Holy Spirit as to be called sons of the Most High as sons of the prophets and royalty as Peter mentioned it. Jesus was not the only one to be called "son of God" per se. It was common knowledge among the Jews who knew the Tanakh or Hebrew Bible. So Paul, knew that the Jewish identity of the Jews was not to be "slaves " to the Romans or any other nations but instead to be a special possession to God to rule and be priests according the original covenant.
"They are Israelites, ( not gentiles) and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, and the promises" .That is, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but the children of the promise are considered to be the offspring." For this is the statement of the promise: At this time I will come, and Sarah will have a son. ( Isaac) " Romans 9:5,8,9
In summary, Paul is making a point on this whole chapter of Roman 9 that Jacob through Isaac is the promise son of Abraham to receive the inheritance of the kingdom of God on earth not Ishmael or Esau who were also sons of Abraham. Paul was making an emphasis to those Jews who did not know their inheritance or had any knowledge of the truth of the Tanakh. That's why Paul stated that is not through physical descent but through a promise to Abraham. Since Esau and Ishmael were physically descended from Abraham.
The sons of Ishmael and Esau represented "slavery " and the sons of Sarah represented the blessings of the kingdom of Hashem.
