He says for the most part he's fine. That's a protective mechanism. I grew up with a marine with horrible PTSD.. my father. These men are never just fine. They are strong and endure because the military rebuilt them to be this way, but what they didn't do was prepare them for a lifelong of psychological hell once duty was over.

I’m a veteran I have I have 12 different disability’s related to military service with P.T.S.D. which is at the top of my disability’s. And I’m still having to play the game of oh you couldn’t have possibly gotten injured that badly with the V.A. And that veteran shown on this video only has a 90% rating. He needs to keep pushing for a 100% rating it’s criminal how the government treats me and other veterans, knowing what I know now I wouldn’t recommend anyone going into the military, after the way I’ve been treated by the department of veterans affairs . I sometimes stay too myself for months on end without speaking with anyone I feel like a caged animal, and I’m almost turned into a feral human and it’s been that way for me for over 35years now . Hopefully that marine doesn’t get this bad it really hurts . Good luck man .

Hey, I wanna respond to this, I realize it’s late but I desperately hope you see this and respond. What you just said, as “righteous” as you think it was, is probably the most insulting, horrible, pathetically naive thing I have ever heard. I myself am a Christian, half of my family has had some sort of involvement in the military, starting with my great grandfather in WW2. Let’s talk about WW2 shall we?
8 million Jews, 5 million other ethnic minorities and disabled persons, all either executed in cold blood, or starved and tortured until they physically could not continue. They died like that, no, they were killed, life snuffed out in the most atrocious way possible. And my great grandfather lost his leg attempting to free those prisoners, trying to stop the massacre that would’ve continued on if your unbelievably terrible beliefs were true and followed. Do you believe he was “charged with murder” in God’s kingdom? Seriously? You must be 10 years old because the amount of absurdity that comes with your statements are just unreal.
My uncle did 2 tours in Afghanistan, he can’t talk about it without shaking, but the one memory that brings him joy was the night he shot down a suicide bomber who was yards away from a young girl and her mother, my dad later told the bomber was forced to wear his vest, and my uncle knows that, but still he’s able to look past that sad, dark reality to realize that he saved that young girl’s life, he gave that mother decades with her daughter. So when he dies, you believe he’ll be locked away in Hell? War and death has been present for all of human existence, but soldiers? Soldiers are not murderers. Both sides of every war believed they were innocent, and I’m sorry you can’t comprehend this, but the death of 1 innocent, to save the lives of thousands, is not only justified, but if God loves us how true Christian’s know he does, he’d encourage that. In your naive world the monsters would rule the world, they’d kill, steal, and destroy without question, and all of us? Our lives would be snuffed out, or we’d be tortured in atrocious ways, that is a world without soldiers. I believe that’s what Hell would be like, but you’ll be able to check for yourself soon.
You are the reason God’s love is becoming so hard for people to accept. YOU. You are the reason people are turning away from him. You’re naive, pathetic, self inflated importance. Do you SPEAK for God? Has he told you that all the soldiers protecting their families will be charged with murder? When you arrive to be judged by Him you will be thrown down to burn, I promise that, because it’s obvious you are not a true God loving man, a true follower of Christ knows that he loves, and he forgives, and yet you say these men will be charged with murder if they kill anyone. You don’t understand God, you are the worst type of fanatic because you genuinely believe you’re right, and when you are emit allowed into his kingdom it will be a real wake up call. I truly hope you learn to use logic as well as faith, but I believe you’re too far gone, I just wish you would see your horrible thoughts for what they are, unholy, egotistical, and just wrong.
      I’m begging you to respond

@@Oliverf-ej8klI think the OP said that because theres lack of empathy and more mockery for the Iraqi & Afghani Civillian even when they were the victim and instead more care to the soldier who did the attrocities, for example put your position in the Iraqi & afghani civillian when the Marines bust your home and casualy shot your family member to death, and then years later they care more with the soldier who massacre your family rather than you, who wouldnt mad ?

Jesus loves you and wants you to follow Him ❤ He is the way, the truth, and the life. I was an atheist for years until I had a supernatural encounter with Jesus that profoundly changed my life. The gift of salvation and eternal life is available to all who put their trust in Jesus. He can heal you of the deepest pain and shame. Seek Him with a genuine and humble heart and He will reveal His existence to you.

The sadness of all this is, for what are they sending these guys into this BS for whatever reason it is it is hard to believe that it is the one they are telling them, but the way they brake these guys and then build them back up with all the programming,no wonder Thier heads are stuffed whenever they get back home ¡!¿?

    • @gileshurst3470

It's like a bruise that is there that no one can see. Sometimes it's ok, but then someone will bump the bruise, and it'll begin to hurt for a long time afterwards.
My wife says I used to be this happy go luck guy. Now, always serious, angry, ready for a fight a lot of the time. You're not always there mentally because your mind is else where. People stay away from you. So you feel isolated. I really don't think there's a way out.

@@gileshurst3470I don’t have war PTSD, but I do have CPTSD. Lots of Americans and global citizens/humans do for any reason, and a lot of it starts with our parents. I hope there’s a way “thru” but there doesn’t seem a way “out”, thank you for your service
