Would you recommend this for a camper build where I have a 24 volt vitron 3000 watt, since its a 24 volt truck, and use 4 these in series parallel, or is there a different battery you would recommend or a 24-volt battery that would come out as less expensive but equivalent in quality?
Thank you Will, honest and revealing! I live full time in my RV with an EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra and two batteries for 12kw. I lost the inverter and one battery bank this summer in a flood at the RV campground, EcoFlow was so incredibly awesome on their return/exchange process. It was not a quick process but they did replace what I lost and for that I will be their customer for a long time. I currently use a Renogy 12v 200a house battery w/Renogy monitor. Also impressed with that setup. As a side note, my RV neighbor showed me his 6kw setup and it was straight from your book that he used to follow, well done on all fronts!

Thank you Will. I purchased and installed 3 Li-Time 100A LiFePO4 “Trolling Motor” batteries in my RV in a parallel configuration combined with 3x200W solar panels connected to a 50A MFFP Controller and a 2000w (4000w peak) pure sine wave Inverter. I run 2 fridges (12v and 110v) as well as Starlink 7/24 and also use it to power my microwave, coffee maker, toaster, satellite, 2TVs, AppleTV, ice maker, and Traeger BBQ (as required not simultaneously). The batteries have plenty of reserve power in the morning and are quickly recharded by my solar array. I purchased this particulae model because of the low temp charging protection and so far am delighted with the quality and reliability.
Great video, Will. *** TIP ALERT *** Use a small (5-1/2") circular saw and just set the height to the wall thickness. Easy straight cuts. Works better than the cutter you use now. If you make the depth just shallow, you can finish cuts with razor knife.

Great job on this and all your videos. I switched out a Group 24 AGM 77Ah battery for this Group 27 Lithium 100Ah battery on the tongue of our camper. First task, replaced the battery box. My camper appliances, e.g., lights, water pump, furnace blower, normally failed when the AGM battery voltage dropped too low for usefulness. The AGM was normally just below 83% SOC, per Victron smart shunt data. With this new lithium battery, we went well into the next week before watching the voltage take that steep plunge. However, I learned a rather simple lesson. A 10A smart charger will take over ten hours to charge that lithium 12V 100 Ah battery from empty to full. Ten hours! Simple physics, I know, but I never faced this challenge with the AGM. I picked up a 40A MPPT charge controller to speed up the recharge process. I believe this particular lithium battery supports 50A charging. With a 6,000 cycle rating, I may never replace this battery. Again, thanks for sharing your excellent work.

You need to pick up a commercial walk in freezer so you can do some cold weather testing for us people who live in Canada or Alaska. 😂 I need new batteries for my cabin but -30°C is the lower end of winter temperature. Pretty sure I will have to stick to AGM's but Lithium would be nice based strictly on performance. Will pick up one of these for the boat trolling motor though.
I recently purchased 4 x 12V-100Ah Power Queen batteries with Bluetooth for slightly more than C$300 (~US$215) each including 5% GST on Amazon Canada. A pretty decent deal IMO.
I wonder if most batteries have a UL 5VA rating for their case like this one? Not having burning plastic cases is a huge plus. I wonder if this is why the material was so difficult to break.

Any way you could do a video on how to do an automatic aux battery setup. Wonder the best way to setup so that if you have 2 banks, one sized for standard use and one for redundant if the main bank hits X volts. So failover to the backup bank if main bank hits X volts, then top off the backup bank and switch back to main bank to charge it back up when power is available all using one solar charger setup. The thought is It might be nice to put some cheap batteries in bank 1 and have a more expensive battery in bank 2. allowing the more expensive to take less cycles over time.
You say $200, ecoflow here in Australia sell it for $699. I wish it was even remotely similar pricing. Looks like a nice battery! My most recent battery is a Kings (4wd supacentre) 120ah lifepo4, and that tested to 134ah at 1C, which i was rather impressed by, for just $349aud. Time will tell if it remains good after a few years. It runs 8 cells in a series parallel configuration. They also use the same cells in their 60ah battery, but just 4 of them. Thats what im currently using for my trolling motor and ive gone for 4-5 hour trips solely under propulsion from that, and gotten through about half its capacity so its plenty for my needs.
Love your video and has helped me alot! Could you do a video where you tear one of these batteries down and rebuild the cells to a smaller custom case? That would be awesome!
If you were going to build a solar setup for winter use in a van to last 2-3 days with minimal sunlight to power, what would you recommend. Cpap Small tv, game system Heating blanket Small space heater And general charging
I wont lie, I am still a little salty I paid almost $900 each for the 8 Battleborn batteries in my system almost 5 years ago. Of all the things in my system Battleborn was the worst, not because the batteries are bad but because the company is awful to deal with if you have an issue with their other products.
This may be a time limited sale which ends October 31. I found the price Will stated by going directly to EcoFlow. I decided to get two of the 100 AH trolling motor batteries, so we shall see... Those appear to be some of the best made batteries I’ve seen. I have a River generator, the add-on battery and one of their portable solar panels. So far, the EcoFlow equipment has proven to be very high quality and durable. Some others offer more features, but at a lesser build quality.
I'm concerned that this new resistor bank can be a fire hazard. Perhaps consider using the same type of insulation behind, above, and beside it as is used around wood stoves. It would probably be excessive but cheaper than repairing fire damage.

I have 4 of these wired to 24v running a 2k inverter that powers my office. It is also my backup power to feed my AC200Max when solar is not available during a storm. They are setup on a cart that I can wheel across my house as needed. Love these units. I will be getting 4 more for a total of 8.
Bro, stop posting fake reviews, it's so fake
I believe that when resistors fail they burn rather than explode but I'd still like to see you use a blast shield or at least goggles
Me too, I'd love to see him wear goggles always.
I left a comment on the ecoflow facebook group and stated Will Prowse will break this battery down once he gets it, LOL I bought 2 of them for my 12 ft stryker inflatable boat. Thanks Will
Thanks for the review, I was looking for a thought build battery to carry around in the bush. That will be the one
Im still rocking my HQST batteries. I have 10 of them with 2 weize batteries for 4s3p setup in my solar shed.
I was really hoping you would test the ionic lithium diesel starter battery
It really works great starting my truck and would be nice to see the internals
But I understand the way it’s sold you probably can’t make money from an affiliated link to help support your channel It’s just such an impressive battery it deserves a Will P teardown
Litime makes a dual purpose starting battery 140 amp hr that I may test in my boat sometime
I will definitely be upgrading my bulldozer starting battery to the ionic diesel start battery when my lead acid’s fail
I love watching all of your videos
Thanks for educating us
Excellent testing I am so glad the battery survived😊
Loadbank, Will great idea to have a non-inductive resistor loanbank, your fan cooling idea is important. Consider a metal housing for the bank as passages within the box can better dissipate heat, maybe temperature sensors on the resistors themselves to add to the dramatic effect.
Cheers,
Thank for being you, we need more people making or keeping these companies honest.
So again,
Thank you.
It would be cool to see a visual of the thermal bank heating up. How about a wall mounted tv connect to a thermal camera pointed at the resister bank?
Oh I love the little sideswipes at THE OTHER battery company throughout the video ..
This guy is awesome! I came to watch a battery video (researching my own solar generator) but got a good laugh out of the video as well.
Good job eco flow. You passed the test.
Love this dude. Great teacher. This is the guy that always wins the science fair projects.
I did win the science fair projects 🤣 That's what I used to live for haha
Can you do a video on some of the new, cheap 12v300ah Small form factor batteries that run around $500? It seems like this is the best bang for your buck right now.
This makes the $750 Battle Born look silly. Why do their prices remain so high?
Probably cause people will still by them for perceived value. You see a $750 battery next to a $200 battery and assume it must be far better
100% I just ordered a couple of these, I was never going to order the BB from my Airstream dealer, I told them to fly a kite. Although I do wish they had a charge side heat element
I love watching your videos. I get great feedback from your videos which helps a lot for those who buy lithium batteries. There is 1 battery that I haven’t seen on your channel yet and that’s the Li-time 560AH battery.
lol, that sticker in the background 0:12 brought back memories
4:10 'That makes it nearly impos..." 4:15 RIP via multicutter AHAHA love it 😂
I was just thinking about you doing a review on this yesterday! Thank you!
Thank you for checking this battery out as a homeless person living out of a SUV I pulled the trigger and ordered an eco flow 12v 100ah battery. It should arrive between November 1st to the 6th and yes I'll comment on it later to give you my input on how it holds up. 😊😊😊. This is my first actual lipo4 battery. But I do own a river 2 256wh and an older non lipo4 kyng 300wh power station. But the kyng is failing to use to charge at 60 watts but now can do 7watts 😢😢.
Bro, stop posting fake reviews, it's so fake
I would love if you could explain the pro's and con's of using one 36v 100ah battery vs 3 12v 100ah batteries run in series. Also would love for you to review the smaller power queen battery that is a 12v 100ah in a grp 24 casing size. Both with and without bluetooth
Same battery on the Canadian page of eco flow is $470cdn.
Great price of $200usd in the USA. But north of the border it’s completely unreasonable
"Take a screen shot so I dont get sued!"
All nonchalant like😂 mixed with REAL seriousness😢
Make a small clamp of metal to clamp on the oscillator blade as a depth guard
Love my Delta 2 and Ecoflow honored warranty when needed. Warranty is King with all these products.
True
I have a bunch of Delta pro solar generators and the extra batteries that go with them. Its been about a year and they are a Solid products, so far
Can you share more
Same, my Delta 2 cycles everyday, from solar or shore power, it hasn't let me down in 2 years.
That makes it nearly impossible... Insert osc tool. I don't know what they are using, but it is incredibly strong! More osc tool! Love the channel Will!
Love your teardown videos!
"Take a screenshot so I don't get sued" lol. That DCS fiasco is sure sticking around
What happen?
@@Patta.Csome ytube guy reviewed there bat and got sued, ongoing still I think. There skum bags!
I'm looking to build a 48 volt RV system. I know it may not be the most advantageous but as good and inexpensive as these 12 volt batteries are getting it may be great cost savings to use those in series instead of 48 volt batteries
I was contemplating buying one of these batteries to extend the runtime on my EF Delta 2. I ended up with the Li Time group 24 with BT for $211.
Thumbs up 👍 for the opportunity to be part of this amazing community 😊
Looks fairly impressive and mostly well though out . And with the replaceable top hatch and BMS., they have a way around the Tariffs by shipping the parts separately and finishing here , then claiming made or assembled here .
Great Videos will be upgrading my rv batteries next spring and will know what to buy
You are better off buying any batteries now before the expensive tariffs kick off. So waiting may lead to spending more money
I think your “shiney” theory is spot-on
Will, look at getting something like the Bosch GKS 12V-26 Professional circular saw, it's a 12V tiny saw with a 85mm blade, will make opening the cases so much easier and quicker.
So what use case is there for 300 amps for 30 seconds? It would take 2 to start most car engines and would the alternators even charge them safely?
Stronger than a coconut, keep me smiling.
I like solar, I don't do any electronic work, I have zero experience, but I wanna buy this just because it looks like a really good product.
So can I use this for my RV house battery?
Does this battery work in colder climates? Thanks for being a great teacher to those of us who don't know much!
Increíble la explicación si lo tradusieras a Español sería increíblemente bueno y tendrias cantidad de seguidores por los comentarios sois uno de los mejores gracias por tus conocimientos
This is a great way to extend life in a River 2 or River 3. Just plug in a 12V to XT60 connector and you’ve got a 1536kWh power station
Yup, you can do that with ANY battery on ANY power station.
Just make sure it is less than the maximum allowed input voltage.
I do this with 2 35 amp hour agm batteries I got new for 50 bucks. My bluetti stop charging right around 11 volts which is perfect
Will--Use a circular saw, set the depth to 1/8", Fast and easy.
I put my safety glasses on just to watch Will do this.
Was waiting for this video. Thanks
If you were going to build a solar setup for winter use in a van to last 2-3 days with minimal sunlight to power, what would you recommend.
Cpap
Small tv, game system
Heating blanket
Small space heater
And general charging
Maybe a cordless router that you can stop the depth of, would work for making precise shallow cuts?
If you bolt a bit of plastic, or plywood, to the cutter, it will limit the depth of the cutter.
I wont lie, I am still a little salty I paid almost $900 each for the 8 Battleborn batteries in my system almost 5 years ago. Of all the things in my system Battleborn was the worst, not because the batteries are bad but because the company is awful to deal with if you have an issue with their other products.
*that resistor station is a modern FRANKENSTEIN Machine LOL*
*I Love It!
*the ice cube HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA*
*Got To Dissolve Potted Material*
Use a mini circular saw. You can set depth with it.
How are the components, especially the cells, supposed to be recycled at end-of-life, when it's all glued together like that?
Thank you for testing all that out for us
Hey Will, with that test rig you finally look like a professional RUclipsr 😂😂😂.
Just kidding, I love it and you.
Try using a hot soldering iron with a blade to cut the plastic
I'm concerned that this new resistor bank can be a fire hazard. Perhaps consider using the same type of insulation behind, above, and beside it as is used around wood stoves. It would probably be excessive but cheaper than repairing fire damage.
