It was carefree and laid-back not because the world was better (it wasn't) but because YOU were a different person back then. You were younger, had less responsibilities and had more life ahead of you than behind you.

I was in junior high school (around 1996) when a close friend of mine lend me a tape of the the "European and American Golden Pop"(欧美流行金曲）, which I believe this song was included and I was so fascinated by this song.
