The Only Thing, that makes Negan from TWD Comics look more appealing is his muscular appearance. If Only Jeffrey Dean Morgan was more buffed up, he would be The Perfect Version of The Negan we still love the way he is! However, there is no doubt that the writing for The TV Show Negan is way better than the one for The Comic Book Negan.

This show stands on it's own but when Negan enters the picture (season 6 finale), as disturbing as his opening scene is to watch, stick with it and you will see that his character arc is masterfully done. None better.......Ever! No other actor works for Negan. Jeffrey Dean Morgan shaped this character into the single best villain of all time. Name another villain that literally affected you that night & days to follow. Then you get glimpses into his past & a smidge of justification creeps in. And that swagger, Christ that swagger.
