Make sure the current the LG is sending to your macbook is enough. I have a LG UltraFine 5K Display connected to my new macbook pro 16 and after a while started experiencing lags. Found out the current sent from the monitor wasn't enough and had to use the charger, otherwise the insufficient power was borrowing from the batteries.

Great point! The USB-C power supply on my monitor, and the one linked in my post are rated at 60W PD (Power Delivery) which should be enough for my 13" MacBook Pro I used in the video but might not be enough for a larger one. I'm not sure which model of monitor you have. Does your monitor have the Thunderbolt 3? That would be the port to use if you do, it should have 94W PD. But then would you need a cable that supports that? Unfortunately, that is above my knowledge of electronics.

how did charging work for you, I see it's a 65w charging, I have a 16"Mac Pro, the wall charger comes with it has 95w, some how worried about 65w charging ability. Thanks

Little Gray Squirrel I have the exact same monitor connected to my 2019 macbook pro. I have mine hooked up by the USB-C cable but it does not utilize the whole screen -what i mean is it leaves an annoying 1-2 inch border on the left and right side of the screen. Curious if you're dealing with the same issue or if you have a solution for this. Thanks in adv 🙌

I think they have the same issue. You can just see a small gap on either side of the monitor (larger than the monitor frame).

Once you close your Mac it will use the whole screen

@@laurencec09 Did you check the box to Mirror Displays under Arrangement in settings? I show this at 1:55 in the video. At 1:38 I open the settings to get to that part. After you click to mirror you should be able to change the Display resolution if you need make changes. I hope that fixes it for you. Let me know if it doesn’t and I will try to find another solution.

For mirroring a MacBook Pro to a Mac monitor? It should be the same process. I’m sorry I don’t have a definitive answer for you.
