I just might do this build for my 13 year old daughter. I have a 1155 board, 3240 i3, 430 watt psu, 8 gb ram and two old sata ssd's laying around. All I would need is a case, i7 and rx580. Should be plenty for roblox, minecraft and Sims.

It would be nice to test video editing with this PC using Vegas Pro, Premiere, After Effects and Davinci Resolve. Not everyone uses the PC just for gaming.

How do I tell I'm considering this build
it’s an older cpu, 3rd gen to be exact. 4 cores and 4 threads I believe, but for a budget graphics card and even like 1650/1660/1660 super it should be a decent option. I would advise going newer though. Like a i3-10100f. It is more expensive and not an i7, but it provides more threads and doesn’t use as much wattage. Also it’s more future proofed than anything like the I7-3770K or 3770S.

Looks great and just shows you do need to spend a fortune to play what you like. Please overclook that I7 3770K though , im going to get one soon and try for 4.6ghz

i have an Asus P8Z77-M mobo and i7-3770K running Windows 10 Pro, but every time I do even a mild CPU overclock in the BIOS to 4.2 GHz my PC locks up within a few minutes and/or i get massive file system corruption.
Dude your temps are super high, are you sure your fan orientation is correct? Maybe repaste is needed?

dude u dont get the i7 K, the 500W and rx 580 without pushing it +15% OC! :D thats why u make budget pc. btw, how much was it? its around 200$ in 2024 (ofc not that good looking)

1. Mungkin temperature tinggi sebab tu auto off. Cuba try pakai MSI Afterburner utk check Temp & test pakai Unigine Heaven.
2. Tukar thermal paste yg bagus.
3. Update driver RX580. Pakai DDU(Display Driver Uninstaller) untuk clean uninstall driver sekarang.
4. Update Visual C++ & Framework DirectX.
5. Masa main game selalu ON V-Sync. High framerate boleh jadi Gpu panas.
Cara pakai MSI Afterburner & DDU boleh search di RUclips.
Biasanya kes mcm ni terjadi kalau pakai used Gpu@Mining Gpu.

Why do i get a lot of s ttuter and low gpu usage which varies a lot with the same setup except that i only have 8 gb of ram,more worse 4 sticks x 2 gb,could that be the problem?Or des the i7 3770 just bottleneck this gpu that much?
nah its probably your ram. try get a 16gb or 32gb ddr3 kit and overclock using xmp.
@@seterauto9706 You probably right,i do get less stutter now,somehow i fixed the stuttering and low usage in games but i did notice for example i recently played rdr2 and i can run it locked at 60 fps ultra settings custom but i noticed when the 8 gb of ram exceeds the memory the pc starts writting memory on the hard disk and i can even hear how the hdd works hard to write the memory down,even clicking noises and then it likes to freeze for few seconds until the hdd gets the memory written.thos only happens when i play for a longer time,few hours or so.I should probably replace that too and get a ssd together with the ram upgrade

@@gamingmeanslife1222 Maybe need to change to AIO cooler or undervolt it to lower it. The Cpu & Gpus is used parts. The CS:GO & GTA5 game Temps is ok but the other game Temps is high. I need to do more test later on.
better to change pc case. That one is pure shit, absolute 0 airflow. thats why both cpu and gpu are so hot.
If you put glass panel in front of the case, those fans do absolutley nothing.
if your fans are ramping up you probably don't want to run it for very long, you might want to reapply thermal paste and check your temps.
