Hi Lila, Thanks for your kind words, so glad you're enjoying the video projects. It's been fun sharing these video ideas with others. My wife thanks you for thinking of her as she has been on several videos in the past. We have been married for 63 years and she is the best!!! Always ready to give me a helping hand. Thanks for your comment and please feel free to ask me anything about these video projects. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Bill, I found your videos several months ago and wanted to tell you how awesome they are! You give very clear directions and show the process from start to finish. I've learned a lot from you and will continue to enjoy each new video that comes out. Thank you!!! Can you give us more information on the Black Stove Polish? I'd like to buy some but want to make sure I get the right product. Thanks. I'm a woodworker and stained glass artist, but am still finding my groove. I love seeing the new ideas that you show us and have already made one lantern. Love the bow tie spinner! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! It's very much appreciated! Debby
Hi Debby, Thank you for your kind words, I'm so glad you found my channel and hope you will try some of these projects. The Black stove Polish is from Amazon and is by Meeco's Red Devil. You're into Woodworking, there are several videos where I've seen lamps made from wood and have a glass shade on them. Again, thanks for your comment, please feel free to ask me anything about these video projects. Have a great day!!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi, The wire and brass tubing are made by K&S Precision Metals. The wire is 3/32" x 36" and the brass tubing is 1/8" x 36" and are sold online or at Hobby Stores that sell Radio Controlled cars, boats and planes. Thanks for your comment. Regards, Bill Stone
Your videos are awesome. I enjoy watching them. I appreciate how you demonstrate the entire process of each project. I do have one question, where do you get the set collars? Thank you for the inspiration!
Hi, Thank you for your kind words, so glad you're enjoying the video projects. The set collars are from a hobby store that sells radio controller cars, boats and planes. You can also find them at Amazon. They are made by DU-BRO and are 3/32" Plater Brass Dura-Collars. Again, thanks for your comment and please feel free to ask me anything about these projects. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing❤ Would it be possible for you to share the size of tubing and wire that is used for this project? I think that I may be able to figure out the tubing, but I am unsure about the size of the wire, along with where to purchase it. Thank you for all the instructions, so generous of you!
Hi Cathy, Thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed the video project. Both the wire and brass tubing are made by K&S Precision Metals and are sold online or at a Hobby Store that sells Radio controlled cars, boats and planes. The music wire is 3/32" and the brass tubing is 1/8". They are 36" long. Thanks for your comment and please feel free to ask me anything about these video projects. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Good morning Bill, Thank you so much for your response, I truly appreciate it! I have 2 different sizes of K&S tubing, unfortunately neither is the correct size. Off to Hobby Lobby, one of my favorite stores…lol. Again, thank you so much for all that you give. I’m just getting started in stained glass, and happily found your channel. Have a beautiful day😀
Hi Cathy, Sounds like you have a plan, if you have a regular Hobby Store that sells radio-controlled cars, boats and planes you can get the tubing and wire in 36" pieces which makes it easier to make larger projects. I think Hobby Lobby only has 12" pieces of both wire and brass tubing. If you are just getting started you may want to check out my very first video called Leaded Glass Solar Lantern for beginners. It talks about all the tools and different things you need to know to get started in leaded glass. Thanks for your comment and I'm also glad you found my channel. Please feel free to ask me anything about these video projects. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
@@billstonesstainedglasscrea3310 Good afternoon Bill, yes, I’ve found it to be a bit challenging to find the 36” length locally. Looks like I will need to order these, and that’s ok. I’m not certain, but I think that I did watch your video on the Lantern. I’ve been watching so many during the last month, my head is swirling. I believe that I’ve collected most of the tools that I need, including an expensive grinder. I decided not to splurge on a better one until I see whether or not I’m interested in continuing with this new found hobby….I have a tendency to go overboard, then decide that it’s not what I want to do. I’ve made 2 very simple pieces, and was so excited that I didn’t break any glass. Seems a bit addictive…in a good way! I decided to subscribe to your channel because you are so wonderful at explaining things. I also enjoy learning how to make your own accessory tools (helpers). I’m going to go back and start at the beginning to watch all of your videos since I’m a visual learner🙂 Thank you again, and a big thank you for your offer of help if needed!
Hi Charlene, Thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully when you have time you will check out some of my other video projects. Have a great day and thanks for subscribing to my channel. Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Donna, I don't know if the copper foil would be strong enough to hold up outside in the wind. It might work is you put U Came around the outside edges to give it some strength. Let me know how it works out. Thanks for your comment and have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Donna, That will make it strong enough with a zinc came around the outside edges. Let me know how that works for you. Have a great day! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Austra, Nice to hear from you, your right, that's why hopefully they will spin or at least turn a little in the wind, if they don't than they just become a sun catcher. Thanks for your comment. How is your new work area working for you? Have a great day and make something fun today!! Regards, Bill Stone
