Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Does Not Work on GTX Cards! (GTX 1650)
and another game that requires ray tracing means only rtx cards can play this game on any non rtx card it will not even launch same as indiana jones great circle.
well if i find any bypass i will upload video otherwise lets hope for mods , but for now RIP!

It only runs on cards with hardware support for dx12 ultimate which is why it can run on a steam deck but not a 1650 despite the 1650 being more powerful, they for sure could've found a way to not have this requirement but probably just decided not to

you can force DX11 mode then use DXVK to convert the DX11 to Vulkan DXVK api vulkan
There is a DX12 mod on nexus which made the game run on GTX 1650/1660 and maybe even RX 5000 series GPUs. Get that and update us on the performance.

@@PhilodoxGamer He is a troll, ff7 rebirth doesn't even have a mod page set up yet. If you look, only ff7 remake page exists on nexus mods right now.
The reason it does not work has nothing to do with ray tracing or any of that. FF7 Rebirth does not even use ray tracing. The reason it uses dx12 ultimate is because of mesh shaders, which only modern cards have support for. They were very clear up-front before release that the game needs dx12 ultimate support with shader model 6.6 to be able to run. So anyone who bought the game and is now complaining it doesn't work, only has themselves to blame for not checking if their pc can run it. The game will never run on GTX cards the way it is, the only possible way it would ever work is if modders found a way to replace mesh shaders with something else, and hack the game to bypass dx12 ultimate. I doubt that will ever be possible but we will see. This is what happens when you don't upgrade your GPU for over a decade, you lose support for the latest games. It has always been like that, and anyone wanting to keep up needs to accept the fact when the time comes their old gpu is not gonna cut it and they have to upgrade. There is more to graphics cards than VRAM, and it is about time people start learning that. It is so cringe that people still don't know this stuff...
It is no different from people needing to buy a new console every 7 - 8 years to play the latest console games. Also, you don't see people moaning that their 1080p screen from over 10 years ago cannot run 4k resolution...but somehow a game with mesh shaders that requires dx12 ultimate and shader model 6.6 not running on their card that lacks these mandatory features is square's fault?
Gtx 16 series Have mesh shaders dude. Buts doesn't have direct x 12 ultimate support.

Now a bypass mod will come. And it will work fine atleast on 16 series gtx gpu , the graphics are nothing special or extra ordinary it's still a unreal Engine 4 game not even 5 , just because developers put rtx 5090 on their system requirements page it doesn't mean that gpu lower then that become trash if developers want they can optimize their games like alan wake 2 removed mesh shaders requirements later, gow Ragnarok removed blockage from 4gb gpu, yes they mention this dx 12 ultimate on system requirements page and most of the people here didn't buy the game yet as people first watch benchmarks how it works then buy and they are just disappointed because many users do not own a rtx series gpu. Point is that a unreal Engine 4 game is asking for this but not even a ue5.

forcing a dx 12 ultimate is not a good thing and when graphics of this game do not look any special compared to old games its great but still game with same graphics or even better do not force these limitations

I hope they acknowledge the fact that atleast 30-40% of players still uses GTX cards and because they're gatekeeping, the game won't sell enough.

truth be told even if it could run on gtx, perfomance would be terrible. my 1060 couldnt run ff16 for me to enjoy the game so rebirth would be equal or worse in that matter
Did you try everything on low? my friend have a 1660super and it looks good enough. It's also running at 50+ fps.
If you're fps drops on cutscenes like a slideshow, there's a fix on github. works 100% perfectly. you just need to paste it on the game directory.

you keep saying the gtx cards don't launch because of rt its most likely not rt there aren't any settings for it and i don't think its forced either also searching online says its not most likely its because of something said in this "*GPU Memory of 12GB or greater recommended if a 4K monitor is used. *Graphics card supporting ShaderModel 6.6 or a later version & OS supporting DirectX 12 Ultimate required." this was said on the performance chart by the devs for this game 2 month ago it seems like the game is defo forcing to use dx12 ultimate which gtx cards cant run so its using at least one of the feature of dx12 ultimate that the gtx card doesn't support so it doesn't work so only 20 series and 6000 amd cards and above support this game so gg and also the gtx cards can ray trace but ofc they aren't really good

@@michaelkiske6917 worst advice ever, this game looks horrible on ps5 XD. PS5 pro is all I would recommend to play ff7 rebirth outside of a pc, but for the price of a ps5 pro you are better off just building a new pc. Just get a used rtx 3080 on the cheap, half-decent cpu and you are good. Ram is cheap af, nvme drives are cheap nowadays too.
