Great video. I was wondering if you can do a tutorial on making storages using silos for just root crops and stuff like mineral feed, loose straw or hay, and without the bale trigger? Another thing im wondering is, has creating the traffic splines changed? I couldn't put it in my current map and get it to work.
splines are the same, nothing changed, this video is good for what you want in silos, buildings or any of those root crops, all you do is to change the filltype in the xml to what you prefer.
How about taking a placeable mod and adding it into the map? Ive looked around and tried many different methods and 1 way works for one but not the other. 1st time map maker and so far im getting stuck on bringing in modded placeables more then anything TIA love your tutorials!
With mods you have to work differently than placeables, as a mod has a moddesc file where a placeable does not have one. So with the mod you need to cooy all the working parts of the mod over into your maps moddesc, and then point you maps moddesc storeitems section to the mods xml file. Once you have all the workings of the mod like (specializations, L10n stuff, Types, filltypes, etc ) all that needs to be transfered into your maps moddesc. Then the mod becomes part of your map. And note you need to unzip the mod then into your map and then place it like a custom placeable following my video on custom placeable procedures.. 😊😊

For example, we wanted to raise the walls of the shed (easyshed). How should we put it into blender, raise the wall and undo it without spoiling the textures?
Hey Bob. I must ask you something about your first release of 4x blank map. I have this big square shadow appearing on the map and it moves with my camera movements in the editor but it is also there when i open the map ingame and it moves with my camera movement there too. What could be cause of this square shadow? When in editor and I move towards the sun I hit a black area where I see only black and I have no idea what this is.
@@FarmerBoBonRUclips Thanks for answering but the shadow flake is still there. You talk about translate Y and not rotate Y I assume. I have messed with the translate wheel of the sun before to try to move the shadow out of the map but it never helped. I could move the shadow flake around with the wheel but never make it disappear. Just letting you know that I have messed with the translate wheel of the sun. Maybe I need to set some numbers for the X and Z translate too? The translate Y 2400 didn't help though.

Thanks. I was wondering about something. In our example, there are two tanks. We want to pour only one product into each tank. For example, wheat and either sunflower, or sunflower into both. Is it possible?
you ca do that by placing a single tank silo with its trigger and then place another single tank with its trigger next to it, but the silo i used has only one trigger and the tanks are just props, they dont hold anything.. the xml tells the game what is accepted in the trigger, so there is not really anything in the tanks.. :) so if you place 2 tanks with 2 triggers you have the same outcome

not a simple task for sure, it be easier to rebuild the structure as you will need to redo the vmask or colormask textures anyways

Yes, its th3 sun, click on the sun and make the Y position attribute 2400. 😊

You forgot edit silo before place and add solar panels
