8th grade on Khan Academy: 8th grade is all about tackling the meat of algebra and getting exposure to some of the foundational concepts in geometry. If you get this stuff (and you should because you're incredibly persistent), the rest of your life will be easy. Okay, maybe not your whole life, but at least your mathematical life. Seriously, if you really get the equations and functions stuff we cover here, most of high school will feel intuitive, even relaxing. (Content was selected for this grade level based on a typical curriculum in the United States.)

Why does this guy do the lesson so fast and easy to understand in like less than 30 minutes when the real math teachers take a full period to talk about 1 lesson.
Because maths teachers generally have more responsibilities, for example they may have to explain things more than once due to kids not listening the first time or being late to class, spend time giving out homework, tell kids to not talk over them, do the register. These things are not too time consuming individually but they add up.
@@qfjd ya some people feel like there forced to learn about math so they don’t listen because of it.
Meanwhile on the other hand when you look up a math video on your free time it’s not as forced and you genuinely want to learn something (even if the only reason you want to learn it is to dodge an F as your mark).

You could get a more accurate answer from the kg/pounds conversion by creating a formula using rise/run, 20/9*k = p to convert kg to pounds then flip this into 9/20*p=k to convert kg to pounds.
A) 8.89 pounds
B) 20 pounds
C) 5.4 kg
D) 7.65 kg

I had to learn this to help my son in eighth grade. This helped me more than any teacher I had in the 80s. I wish we had RUclips back then😔 this was so easy once I watched it a few times.

and there is no pre vids/foundation to linear graph Algebra 1 section.
Would be helpful, if you had a video that was a "intro"

y=Mx+B (M is the slope, B is the intercept)(slope is Rise over Run)
Ax+By=C (replace X,Y with 0 and solve for each)
etc etc.
How do u draw the lines so perfect without a ruler I can't even do that with a ruler

If you want more practice on drawing linear equations, or solving them algebraically, I just uploaded two videos where I go through exercises step-by-step explaining everything I do along the way. Hopefully this will help some people that are struggling :)

Never let anyone tell you that you cant do it or that math is not your thing. Learning styles vary so just find your groove and enjoy the warm feelings of the "(: ahh haa :)" moments.

Thank you. I'm trying to figure out if I can accurately graph out the possible lines, representing the "gross, monthly INCOME" from my "Social Security" payments. The first line, would be my "Early Retirement" rate, (about $1924/month), beginning when I reach 62 years of age.
Then, The second line, would be my "Full retirement" rate, which would be a greater monthly amount, ($2701/month), and, it would begin when I would reach 66 years, and 10 months of age...
Finally, these two inclined, linear lines, would begin at " y=$0.00 ", and increase, at their own rates, until they would eventually intersect, when I would reach almost 79 years of age!.... How can this be graphed, accurately, on a computer/graphing calculator?!
IMHO: I feel that I will be better off, by deciding to take my "EARLY retirement" amount, right away, rather than waiting until I reach 66y-10mo, because, I can use that money now, but, I might not live past 79 years old!, and so, I probably won't benefit significantly, by foolishly waiting to start taking it, at the later age, (66y-10mo), and, very likely, not collecting all, or even most of what they took from me, all the years that I was working hard...
SOCIAL SECURITY OUGHT TO BE an "OPT-IN/OPT-OUT" (VOLUNTEER) program!!! I could've invested ALL of that money, over many decades, and made many times more than what the Gov't would ever pay back to me!!....
(SSA) => WHAT A PONZI-SCHEME!!!....
