They look awesome and a beautiful setup you have. I have the current version Ultra Bookshelf's and love them. I imagine the new Evolution bookshelves are going to sound amazing. Can't wait to see a review on them.
Thank you! I have some Ultra surrounds that I use in my main theater room and the Ultra Evolution's are a tremendous step up. I'm still in the honeymoon phase so don't want to say too much until I get a good understanding on how they sound, but so far I am very impressed.

Wow! In the US I think they top out at $5000 a pair. Sadly you don't get much for $5k in the world of audio anymore. Even Bower & Wilkins entry level 607 S3 bookshelf is now $1100 a pair.
And you pay 14% tax also ??
I have the SVS Ultra 13 subs that l bought over ten years ago They are in beautiful piano black and weigh 90lbs each Love SVS as they have an upgrade path So I bought the plate amp upgrade with the phone DSP app and more watts!!! I'm thinking those SVS bookshelf speakers with a pair of SVS subs would be a great combo for the money
Hi Jack, I think you will be very happy with the new SVS Ultra Evolution bookshelves when paired with your Ultra 13 sub. I know I am! These speakers blend beautifully with my both my SVS SB-3000 and SB-16 Ultra subwoofers and at $1200 a pair, they seem to offer great detail and dynamic range for this price point. I have already measured the drivers and they are nice drivers that are well damped. Even the tweeter is quite impressive for the money. I was never a fan of the original Ultra series bookshelves but these seem to be a big step up over the previous generation in terms of sound quality.

Thank you! 🙏It's a Rotel RSP-1580 and I bought it off eBay as new old stock from a dealer on there. It's a few generations behind in terms of surround sound formats but that didn't matter to me since my upstairs system is a 3.1 setup and isn't a full surround setup. It's a great processor that sounds really good. It was a good buy on eBay at the time and couldn't pass it up. I have had it almost 2 years and its been great.
So far how do they compare to the B&W 800's you have? any quick impressions?
That's not really a fair comparison. :) One is $15k a pair and the other is $1.2k a pair. With that being said, I would say the Ultra Evolution bookshelves are probably one of the best bookshelf speakers I have heard at this price point. I just got done measuring the drivers on my bench and they are very well damped. I will go over the TS parameters and other specs in my look inside video. Simply put, I'm impressed! Hope this helps.

I know! I ordered them yesterday too. They shipped them from a warehouse that isn't far from me so I think that's why they got here so quick.

I'm still in the honey moon phase so don't want to say too much but so far I'm impressed.
