I am 84 year old black man. In america you can be what ever you want no matter of color. I never had any barriers that stopped me from flying f4 phatoms in nam. You are what you make of it. Walk right do right and you will succeed... plus keep them pants pulled up young men

My dad was an Echo Hotel pilot from the early 50's to 1972. He flew P-51's, T-33's and F-102's. I sure do miss him.

I like how the pilot just rests his arm inside the cockpit staring outside, just relaxing.

I have always enjoyed the "Cry of the Eagle" (F-15 JFS). I was on a ramp full of F-15s and F-16s and I could easily tell which birds were starting up by the sound of the JFS. 😎

As a black man, I took my initial flight training in the USAF. I have always wanted to fly, not because Caucasians fly but because I love flying. Now, after serving in the Air Force I am a motivational speaker and travel the country sharing the joys of flying and speak especially to black teens, high school and college students about considering a career as an airline pilot. I began instructing in 1989 and am an active flight instructor today. Flying is my passion. I will do this until Jesus comes in the rapture to take His body of born again believers out of this world and into heaven.

Worked on the weapons system of this bird at kadena ab,Okinawa 82-84 then we had the sr71 on the other side of the base taking off at night we could see the flightline from the barracks it would come screaming down the runway lift off and go just about straight up and disappear in about ten seconds never a dull moment.
